I'm guessing 5 years old. You can't lay hands on an unborn baby unless you are advocating abortion.

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Babies are born with the tendancies of demons. They scream, flail, defecate and urinate all over themselves. Essentially they lack basic self- control. It takes years to get the child to a position where they gain control, through the teachings of the Bible(tm), a firm hand, and lots of guidance from elders. I can't see any child under the age of 8 being at a level of understanding to really know who Jesus is and accept him. This means they go straight to hell.

Then you admit that the "brothers" in your "fine religious orders" are actually unsaved? Perhaps I was too harsh; there may be hope for you yet.

Just a thought - when Augustine said unsaved babies went to Hell, was he wrong or right? Did God somehow change His mind about what to do with unsaved babies at some point between Augustine's times and today?

"Hell" wasn't always used as the place of the damned. It was just used as the place of the dead, which we called "limbo" before we abolished it.

Why don't you look at the last part:
I ORDAINED THEE A PROPHET UNTO THE NATIONS.
So is everyone ordained a prophet unto the nations?
                Certainly NOT.

God is speaking to ONE person here, not in general, not about everyone.
This however, is a general statement, Praise God!
How then can man be justified with God?
Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

What does God's Word say about babies going to Hell? Open our bibles to Romans 9 "21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:". Last I checked babies resemble little vessels of wrath.

Re: Do babies go to heaven or hell ?

It's really simple. All you have to ask is:

"Did they or did they not accept as their personal and ?"

                        For as it is written:

                        Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

                        John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Babies are far too busy gluttonously guzzling formula or, worse yet, incestuously suckling milk from their mother's bosom to even think about gorging themselves on that most toothsome of delicacies - Sweet Savior Blood and Savory Messiah Flesh.

                        John 6:53-54
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Thus, dead babies burn in hell for all eternity.
                        II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J.
