I was researching contemporary Christian music tonight. I was searching the lyrics of all the songs on the Christian Billboard top 25 for the youth group when I ran across a song called "Jesus Saves".

While the other songs mostly were glorifying of God, reminding us that we are all sinners to catchy instrumentation, this song was a notable exception.

A search for this song's lyrics yielded the following.

Jeremy Camp is an incredible artist who is so dedicated to God. I have been to 3 of his concerts. At one, he ended the concert with a worship song and left the stage while everyone had their eyes closed for worship - so that the praise went to God instead of him.

I thought I would post this to remind you not to take everything you read as truth. Actually, don't accept these lyrics I gave you as truth. Listen to the song yourself - the one on Jeremy Camp's CD "We Cry Out" and discover the true lyrics. Then you may judge whether he is satanic or not...

Here's my point - Jeremy Camp doesn't sing that song.
Search "Jeremy Camp" in the forum search and you'll find that Brother Levi discovered that the "kissing crosses" lyrics he posted were a mistake.

The lyrics I posted were true. The ones that praise God and say to shout out that "Jesus Saves." However, I beg of you to listen to the song.

Interesting. It seems Mr. Jeremy Camp doesn't think we have to repent.

Every debt has not been repaid. We are born into sin; we must beg forgiveness for our vile, sinful nature. Only then are our past sins forgiven.

Once we accept the Unconditional Love of Jesus, we prove that we are Saved by never sinning again. Those who continue to sin, as it is written, "have not seen Him, neither known Him".

1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Where is this important message in Mr. Camp's music? Asking forgiveness and then returning to one's sinful lifestyle is a one-way train to Hell.

I'm shocked and disgusted! When we're forever trying to point out that marriage is necessary for the union of a man and a woman, unlike those filthy homers who shag each other when they're not married, this Camp fellow goes and knocks up his girlfriend. Just the sort of ammo the homers want.
