I am in need of guidance -
01-14-2007, 05:06 AM
A young boy from my congregation asked me what I thought of the jews. When I told him he said that jesus was a jew. This is true.
So what is your opinions of jews, and how do you support that view knowing our lord and savior was a jew.

Jesus is not a joo. He is God made flesh. Yes, His earthly vessel for carrying Him to birth was a joo, but that's because a True Christian™ would not be available to carry a baby who was not the fruit of her godly husband's loins.

True, but sister, as a counter arguement, and meaning no disrespect, how could her husband be a True Christian™ if Christ was not yet born, and the faith had not even been conceived yet? Judaism was the only true faith of the time, wouldn't you say?
Or would you believe that all born before Christ suffered eternal damnation?

Like I said, a True Christian™ woman would not be available.
The joos were chosen by God to be the killers of Christ, and as such He had to prepare them for this terrible curse, so they were the only people He would deal with back then.
And yes, all those born before Christ are damned for eternity as it's only through Jesus that one can get to Heaven.

Preach it, Sister!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I am a bit confused.
John 3:13 states:
And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, even the Son of Man"
Yet...:
(Genesis 5:24) - "And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him."
(2 Kings 2:11) - "Then it came about as they were going along and talking, that behold, there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven."
(Hebrews 11:5) - "By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God."
I hope a pastor can explain.

God was probably just giving them a taste of what they were missing before He killed them and cast them into Hell. He does things like that sometimes.

Well done, Tommy! Couldn't have said it better. Actually, I have had this debate with these people before and they still don't have an answer, it seems!

To answer the original question... there is a simple test, Reverend, that you can perform yourself to determine whether or not our Savior was a dzhoo.
First, go outside and build a big wooden cross. Carry it to a suitable hill and mount it, then nail yourself to it, securing your hands and feet. After you have done this, find a spear and drive into your own ribcage, making sure to inflict a mortal wound. Die, and, if possible, ascend from the dead on the third day. Can you do all of this? Most likely you cannot. But if Jesus was a bagelmeister, he would have had to—notice the problem?
I hope that helped.
