Are you sure they weren't Italian? Jimmy Durante was Italian. Lady Gaga is Italian. F. Murray Abraham is Italian. I could name others, but I'm kind of partial to the rule of three. . . Like God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit!

Greetings Mr. Paws my friend. Your country must be like one very large entertainment park. It seems like there are tourists all over. Some of the beaches in Jamaica which is my home are like that but they are only for white tourists who come to the island to turn pink. Do the white people turn pink in your country? The people of my country do not lay about on the beach because we are already a nice dark color. The tourists mainly stay at the hotels and drink rum because they are afraid of the Black people who do not work at the hotel. So we do not see many but I always thought the French were the worst because they are rude.

Moses is truly amazing - especially if you ponder that he accomplished all this in the days before GPS, and PERT and Gantt charts.
I believe you are correct there sister, the Israelites that Moses herded out of Egypt became lazy and self-absorbed after living off of God's welfare in the desert - much like today's Millenials under Obama. The "Promised Land" happened to be occupied by some squatters known as the Canaanites, and God's instructions were to just go down and slaughter the Canaanites and move in to the Land of Milk and Honey. By this time the Israelites had taken to putting "Coexist" bumper stickers on their chariots and just couldn't be bothered.
In those days 40 years was about the time for those old lazy jews to die out and a new generation to be born that would finally go down and slaughter the Canaanites as God had instructed.

By "Coexist" bumper stickers do you mean those annoying things with all the letters formed out of religious symbols? Frankly, that's what I always thought that all those Egyptian hieroglyphics were.
Let's "coexist" with all our different gods and immigrants and those Hebrew refugees from that place where they had that famine because of the drought caused by Global Warming because that's a thing, isn't it? Our royal astrologists said so.
Typical liberals.

So you judge the entire race on behavior unfamiliar to you of the select few who have traveled to your part of the country? Goodness, however do you get on in life with such a small mind?

Many such "crackers", as you put it, would say that God overloaded non-whites with melanin to ensure that they would be suited to toil in the hot sun at the behest of their alabaster-skinned superiors.

Yes you are right Sister. That is why I am more suited to lawn mowing and wall building than astrophysics or engineering.
God is great, though, cause those liberal professions will send you straight to hell.
On topic now: it is very likely that in 40 years of wandering in the same small desert some people would start to ask questions.
Random Jew: hey Moses, we have passed this rock 3 times already!
Moses: don't know watcha' talkin' bout
Random Jew 2: yesterday we were going east, today west, are you sure you know where are we going?
Moses: yes I am sure. God told me
So keeping the masses confident was a big task. Keeping the credibility was, in my opinion, the greatest achievement.
I mean, this people were praying to a big golden calf just a moment after they saw God opening the waters. People lost faith in God in no time, with miracles included,, but somehow Moses retained control.
Those are serious skills.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Another important aspect of Moses' leadership is where he lead Israelites to - and it might have to do with wondering for 40 years as well. People who grew up in Egypt knew that it was a good, fertile land, thanks to irrigation and annual flooding of the Nile. Some of these oldtimers might have complained that God gave them the worst scrap of land in the whole Fertile Crescent region (and that they had to kill of the original inhabitants to really own it). Letting them die out, and bringing up the young ones in the desert, certainly allowed Moses to present Palestine as a good, viable option.
Moses knew that you do not look the gift horse in the mouth. Especially when it's a gift from God Himself. Most of the other Israelites were not that smart and could have complained.

Very interesting point, Sister. I vaguely remember some Israeli political figure joking many years ago that their God-given Promised Land was the only spot in the Middle East with no oil.
Such ingrates. God went to so much trouble to settle them there and they complain. Though, I don't think that wiping out the original inhabitants of Canaan was so very difficult. God brought down the walls of one of the cities. And there were so many people who needed to be killed as punishment for worshiping in the wrong religion or in the wrong way, or not showing up to do their part in some other military slaughter-fest. Judges 21:10-12.
Back then, the Lord kept His Chosen People very busy killing people to serve Him. Perhaps I missed a verse or two, but I don't recall reading about anyone complaining about all the killing. There were complaints about the food, though. I'm pretty sure about that.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

There is some indication from the "climate change" crowd that the "Promised Land" was wetter and the temperatures more moderate than they are today. They claim that the whole area has undergone "Desertification" - and I wouldn't be surprised if they blame it on "man made" globull warming (as if all the Romans and other inhabitants were driving around in SUV's and using olive oil).
More than likely the "Desertification" is God's punishment for the Jews rejecting Jesus.

Well, we know that is just Fake Science! It was already wilderness in Jesus's day (Matthew 4 et al.). I don't know how long it was between Moses getting there and Jesus's 40-day temptation (perhaps a scholar can advise?) but it can't have been long enough for so-called global warming to make that much difference.

You think like an atheist, atheist. The LORD doesn't need spokesmen to get his message across, even if the message doesn't make sense at first.
