Crosswords for Christians! -
12-31-2010, 03:29 AM
I was bored and I wanted to read a bit of Exodus and a few other parts of the Bible so I decided to make a crossword that is fill in the blanks to make it easy for now, if this becomes likable by even a few people I will make harder ones each week ..
Also, please let me know if I made any mistakes, this was actually much more time consuming to make than I thought it would be.
P.S. if anyone knows any crossword that doesn't advertise all over the crossword and comes in a better format, please let me know!!

Now this is good, clean family fun! Kids these days have too much depraved filth for entertainment: School shooter simulators like Halo, homosexual agenda Super Mario Bros games, sending each other naked pics on their iPhones, learning about atheism and false religions from Facebook friends, etc. Have you considered maybe making a crossword book, Janine?

I'd love to make a crossword book , I'll see if more people like this and if so, I will happily make a new one once a week!

I'm going to try a new one next time and just progressively go down the list; I was wondering if anyone made one previously for a church program and liked the creation program for it.

This is fantastic! As an adult True Christian™ the answers are obvious to me, but I have printed out 7 copies for my children to complete. I'll order a pizza later and every child who gets the entire puzzle correct will get a slice. They deserve the reward for their knowledge of the Word™. The kids who don't answer correctly get to watch the smart ones eat, then go to bed without supper. That should inspire them to redouble their Bible studies.
Thank you!

Would there be any potential for making a True Christian, de-chinkified version of Sudoku? Say, a square of nine spaces where each row and each column had to contain a King James Bible, a cross and Ronald Reagan's face?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I gave this to Bethany, my 4 year old granddaughter, to keep her occupied. I was amazed at the speed with which she filled it in. I gave her 4 marks out of ten and told her that her writing is horrible. She has gone away wailing. I’ll never understand women.

Oh my gosh! That has got to be the cutest little handwriting I've ever seen! Bethany is a beautiful name too . She may be dyslexic though..
and @Brother Temperance I'm currently using a crossword puzzle maker that is horrible, then using paint to remove all the ads.. I have no idea how I'd go about making one without some type of help.

Adorable! And I'm sure the Pastors can beat that dyslexia demon out of her in years to come.

Janine, that was nice of you to offer. I would be thrilled if you would make one about Revelation. Thats a book that we all could learn more about, so that we all know more about what will happen when the Final Day comes. Or just one about the End-Times, whichever one you would prefer.
Thank you.

Sister Janine, I'm very impressed with your work and thank you for sharing it with us.
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Numbers 6:25
But whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Maybe crazy atheist ideas or science lies? That way, once the young ones have mastered the Bible (as documented above) we can get onto the business of teaching them about the lies they will hear.
May I suggest one that could be the backbone of the puzzle?
Q: "Atheists hang their crosses: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _"
A: UPSIDEDOWN
Etc.

Ok, even after an hour or so of making it and looking for errors 3 times I still had some when I uploaded so I ended up deleting it. I am uploading the revised version that hopefully doesn't have any more typos in this post. I couldn't get very far before the crossword limit was reached, so next week I'm going to make Gab's suggestion and then the week after that I will finish up with the post-lake of fire Revelation crossword puzzle .
Praise Jesus, Janine Walker
