Rev. Bathfire....could you come in this thread please? -

Rev. Bathfire I ask for your help because you appear very knowledgeable about the Bible.
Would you be as kind as to explain this verse?
Isaiah 11:6 (King James Version)
6The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Exactly what does it mean...."a little child shall lead them"?
Thank you, you have been a great help in the past.

A child shall lead them refers to a state of innocence once the Messiah returns.
It's good to see you reading the Bible, even if you are still a hell bound witch.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Petal explains that verse here.
2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

I always read the Bible....not that YOU would know that! As for being a witch.....Matthew 27: " 11 ¶ And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest."

I'm sorry. I have no idea what you being a witch has to do with Jesus.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Actually that is me being very sarcastic. As in "Thou sayest"
Just because you say it is it does that make it true?
Why make up a lie and believe it is true? You all made up this lie, now you all believe it is true.
If you said "Morgana owns a red corvette and drives like a grandmother" would that be true also? I suppose so...just because "Thou sayest".
Now....Rev. Bathfire....could you please answer my question....

Morgana, are you a Christian?
Proverbs 25:21-22 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

Ah yes, “and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;” This was usually the point at which Nephew Zebulun came in with, “But the kid won’t get much sleep…”
(Nephew Zebulun has come on a lot since his younger days and I regard him as one of my windows into the modern world.)
...."a little child shall lead them" what did Isaiah mean at this point? Was he speaking of the coming of Christ? Many would have you believe so. Is Christ portrayed elsewhere as “a little child”? (Obviously other than when he really was a little child.)
Gnostics believed that Christ could appear however he wished but fortunately they have all been slain by God or otherwise disposed of. Now if you listen to a dead Gnostic, you would think that maybe, just maybe, that Jesus would appear as a little child amidst ravenous beasts. But hold your horses and think. If Isaiah actually meant that, would God not be saying that he has arranged a date and time for Jesus (who is God) to appear as a “little child” with various zoological specimens? Unlikely that He should bind the Jesus aspect of the Trinity to a specific action, eh? And leading animals that He made is hardly impressive.
Or is the “little child and actual “little child” whose father has deployed him in the family animal breeding business?
Now I take God’s Word literally and so should any right thinking person. (If I'm treading on anyone's toes, I apologize) If Isaiah is inspired by God to foretell vegetarian wolves, leopards and lion, why would God then suddenly break into an “allegory” and "symbolism" about “a little child”?
No! the little child is a little child. And that he is tending animals simply means that he is being home-schooled.
And I think this is the message from God. Home-school your children and make a killing with vegetarian predators when the time comes.

You know what Rev. Bathfire...sometime when you are not doing anything...maybe we should sit down and you should explain the entire book of Isaiah to me! I knew Isaiah was deep but I was not aware that it was this deep. I have often heard Christians say the the "little child" Isaiah was speaking of was Jesus, but I was not sure. You said " that Jesus would appear as a little child amidst ravenous beasts." Well did he not end up teaching the elders in the temple that day Joesph and Mary lost him? Is that not the same as "a child will lead them?" I see your point however. The schools are dumbing the kids down and homeschooling is the best way to educate a child.

Publish your opinions, I will say where you are wrong. Consorting with witches is probably sinful and I’m allergic to frogs, bats and toads.

Look! If God had meant to foretell the arrival of Jesus, would He, in His Wisdom and Omniscience, have said (in sonorous tones), “I Will Send My Son Who Will Be The Messiah. He Will Be Known First As Emmanuel But Later Dropping That For Jesus”? Why would He (in His Magnificence) mysteriously weave an impenetrable story so that the next day the world would go off speculating about it and then only realise what it meant when it had happened?

I don’t recall saying any such thing to you. I rarely speak to witches and thus would have recalled it.
The only time “ravenous beast” is mentioned in the Bible is by their absence. We cannot say where they were or if even there were any around. (However, it is interesting that Isaiah separates lions from a ravenous beast. It does leave you wondering if lions are never ravenous or they are not beasts, as such.)
Isa:35:9: No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Pharisees and the like were described by Jesus as vipers, not “ravenous beasts” and that was well after he was 12 years old.
M't:3:7: But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
M't:12:34: O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
M't:23:33: Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Lu:3:7: Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
I doubt The Son of God would confuse a viper with a leopard. For one thing, vipers are snakes and the last time a snake had legs was in The Garden of Eden. On top of that, I have every reason to believe Jesus’ eyesight was acute.
Quote:
Well did he not end up teaching the elders in the temple that day Joseph and Mary lost him? Is that not the same as "a child will lead them?"
|
Lu:2:46: And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
Lu:2:47: And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Lu:2:48: And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
Lu:2:49: And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Lu:2:50: And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
If you read the Bible (I know it is hard and has big words but do try) you will see that Jesus was listening and asking questions and they were astonished. This is not leadership, this is a bright, homeschooled Jesus showing that public education is worthless.
This leads nicely onto your next point:
Quote:
I see your point however. The schools are dumbing the kids down and homeschooling is the best way to educate a child.
|
A child needs only so much education, but it has to be in the correct, i.e. Godly, direction. The Lord will take care of His Own and a child’s soul is far more important than so-called public education that is doled out today that prepares most for nothing more than the welfare queue.

Ha! He said COME.
Wait.. Is Jesus the one who piffleed the Ginger Chick or was he the one who didn't exist because some Jew talked to a burning bush because of the centuries of incest building up from Noah and his wife being the only 2 people left after a flood that couldn't exist?
I'm forgetful..
