How do I keep my LCD monitor clean? -
02-13-2009, 11:06 PM
I've had my LCD monitor for a while now, and it isn't as clean as it was when I bought it. What should I use to clean it? I don't want to ruin the surface of the monitor.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You need a bigger dog, something really slobbery
I use a proprietary glass cleaner, basically it's spray-on diluted isopropyl alcohol and then wipe it off with Bounty or similar - cleans really well and leaves no smears.

You don't have issues with lint? I worry about using newsprint, which is usually OK for the car windows and such.

I've always just used water or glass cleaner and a paper towel, wetting the towel rather than spraying screen
Revelation 22 18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Spray-on eyeglass glass cleaner (which won't melt plastic) and a microfiber cloth (which won't scratch it). I use the same ones I use to clean my glasses.

I've just been using one of those green Scotch-Brite pads and Dawn dishwashing liquid.
I like how it smells lemony fresh.

Oh that's simple. The answer is steel wool and comet or ajax. It might scratch the screen up when viewed by heathens, but any saved True Christian will see right through it. I'd also wipe it down thoroughly with clorox just in case any sinful images were viewed on the screen.

My monitor cleaning ritual is pretty much based on our beloved KJV, so I always recite Ez. when I do this.
Ezekiel 36:25
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

A man such as yourself should'nt be cleaning things anyways. I see you as having 2 options.
1) Have a woman do it. This way you have someone to blame if it goes wrong.
2) Buy a new monitor. Surely someone as Godly as yourself is at minimum a millionaire.
DO NOT ask questions! Just tithe. A LOT!

It's not polite to speculate about the wealth of another. For all you know my 4 bedroom ranchhouse and my 2 Cadillacs are all mortgaged to the hilt.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Have you considered trying the capslock key? (it's on the same line as ASDF)
Conversely, if you can't read, you could always try touching every key on your keyboard once, you're bound to hit the capslock key then.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Some stains no amount of scrubbing can wash away. I use rubbing alcohol and prayer.

If you post using the name "Christ" you'll be banned. Stick with Babylon; it gives us a clue.
