If you listen to satanic music such as heavy metal you are giving place to the devil and are most certainly Hell-bound. That's why there is no such thing as Christian heavy metal! If a music genre is born of the devil to begin with, how can there be a Christian version?
My eldest son once tried to listen to so-called "Christian heavy metal". He absolutely received a stern beating after that, and was locked in his room in solitude for several days.

But there are good Christian people who make metal Music, people who give to the poor and give to the church, who have repented of their sins and are following Christ, and trying to lead those who would otherwise go to hell to the devil.
I listen to metal all the time, by such wonderful bands as Theocracy and Petra, people who are devoted deeply to Christ. How can you say that they'll go to Hell?
And besides, where in the Bible does it say that any kind of music is from the devil? Music is just like anything else: it can be used for the glory of God, or for the Devil; simply because most metal bands are devil-worshipping doesn't mean that there can't be Christ-worshipping ones too.

Hello John.
I understand that this is your first time here so you can be forgiven for not following the clear concise instructions at the top of the page. If you need spectacles there is a wonderful optician in Landover that can help you out.
Now on to your music:
Theocracy - a state/country controlled by the church, usually Catholics or Mooslims. Not really a good choice in my opinion.
Petra - a place in Jordan. A Mooslim country.
Please tell us, are you a Mooslim?
If so we can help you become apostate. All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and tell us all about the disgusting deeds you have performed while under the influence of alan the moon god.
Isaiah 66:15

@Roland: done. Thanks for pointing me over there.
@Thomas Taylor: you intend to prove that I'm a muslim? Why?
FYI, the name of the band Theocracy give reference to the fact that Christianity is, in a way, a true theocracy, a nation ruled by God. Petra is the Greek word for rock, refering to the fact that the LORD is our rock.
2nd Samuel 22: [ David’s Song of Praise ] David sang this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and from Saul. He sang: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence. ...

What could I honestly do even if I were a muslim to a group of forums? Really.
And besides, when is the last time you heard of a muslim listening to metal music? It's actually abhorent to them; they see it as a part of America, like Rock, and hate everything about us.

We've had incidents in the past where muds have attempted to jihadify our Freehold server farm.
Luckily, none of these incidents were successful -- except in ending muslim lives. I suppose you could call them a success after all.
I wasn't there but I understand the children of Freehold recently had a wonderful afternoon when a mudman failed to detonate correctly. Apparently the poor thing couldn't work out what button to press, which was rather odd because his little kamikaze suit only had one button. Oh well, I heard the children enjoyed a game of "knock the rag off the raghead's head" with the weightiest rocks they could find.
Nevertheless, we're always vigilant. The LORD looks after us, of course, but you never know when He might turn His attention. He is remarkably inconsistent when it comes to those He chooses to assist. Naturally, this is a sign of His superior wisdom and unquestionable decision-making skills. Praise Him!

I THESSALONIANS 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
context .. kjv
The Black Sabbaths, The Judas Priest, The Led Zeppelin and The Deep Purples originated a "metal" sound decades ago. It was a successful export to America. Previously there had been overtly satanic music whether droning chants or pulsing drums or jazzed up a bit as in this example:
Notice in particular the second line where the protagonist mentions learning the power of mind and flesh. There are many ways to get obedience and the flesh, which includes ears together with the basilar membranes and associated nerves, is susceptible to some very specific frequencies of vibration affecting the mind. It's like when a certain sound makes the windows vibrate: they resonate at a specific frequency. If that frequency is coming out of your loudspeakers the windows will vibrate. It's exactly the same inside your ears, different frequencies of sound produce resonances on the other side of your eardrum where a resonating membrane tickles an adjacent hair cell.
The hair cell in turn, as it is tickled, changes shape in much the same way a baby changes shape when you tickle it. That triggers the release of a neurotransmitter and off zips the signal via a nerve to your hearing centres.
Music is a combination of different frequencies either "horizontal" (melody) or "vertical" (harmony) but not all combinations are equal. Some make you vomit. Some cause fits. Can you guess which combinations the metals have marshalled into their genre?
The Black Sabbaths in particular reintroduced a combination of frequencies, two notes called C and F# but any two notes so related in another key would have the same effect, thitherto repudiated in tonal composition as the devil's interval. In fact that is why they chose it. It has become a fundamental structure of the metal, most of which is tonal.
Some Nordic heathens have included atonality in their metal atrocities together with bizarre scales based on the effect of specific pitches. Just as the ear mechanism resonates so do other parts of the body. Vibrations can be used to massage inside your knee for example; simply adjust the vibrating source to the resonant frequency of your knee. You would be able to feel which frequency was most beneficial at once. The pelvic floor has a different resonant frequency which I suspect would also be very noticeable and all the metals use this frequency a lot. The louder the better.
Of course speaker systems have limits. By using two different loudspeakers playing similar but different frequencies, for example connected to two different guitars, an interference wave of very large amplitude can be generated in the air without blowing up the speakers. If you put both signals through a single speaker the interference wave would be generated in the speaker and it would fail. That applies to analogue sound so it would not really come out as such over a digital system (like a computer) but guitars are analogue devices and have infinitely variable pitch control by bending the strings. In that way metal guitarists can control the production of interference waves in the air of an enclosed space with very high precision. This is what gives heavy metal its characteristic sound.
The genre has been developed for this very reason and whether these so-called "Christian" metal freaks know it or not that is exactly what it achieves. Satan likes to have the whole world demon possessed whether knowingly or not and the metal is a major weapon in his arsenal to thwart Jesus Christ's perfect plan for Salvation which is why no Christian ever listens to it.
THE POWER OF FLESH TO HAVE MY WILL OBEYED
An equivalent process takes place within the nervous system. After leaving your ear the signal zips along to your brain: the hearing centres are on the sides. This brain region co-ordinates sensory and motor functions as well as hearing sound. Think how your foot will tap all by itself to certain songs whether you like them or not. You can stop your foot tapping but don't have much control over when it starts. Obviously this is an effect of the song which you can hear. The signal entering your ear has now reached your foot. Well there must be a reason why your foot taps to a country jig or whatever but not to a dirge. Satan may not be very interested in how to make your foot tap but is excessively interested in the pelvic floor which is also connected by nerves to your brain. Can you see where this is leading?
THE POWER OF MIND TO HAVE MY WILL OBEYED
And no Christian ever plays the metal. If you see someone playing metal they are not a Christian.

Muslims don't hate America. They hate Christian Americans and now that their commander in chief Hussain Obama has been shown the door by Godly Mr Trump (who surely already very nearly sits at Jesus' right hand) they will be all deported back to the Muslim countries they come from like Africa and Europe!

I was just wondering Dr Niles whether if the muslims come from Europe and the metal comes from Europe then is metal the cutting edge of jihad in America?

I have come here to get answers, and what do I find...? Christians cursing metalheads, metalheads defending their rights as Christians...
Let me tell you something.
I just found the purest metal/hard rock band for your taste.
"Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996." Wikipedia, Skillet.
This shows the discriminative rights you suppose you have. I have come here to search for salvation, but now I know I have to move on to another forum... this is why I am called the Nomad....

Visit any forum that you wish, but the Bible states salvation is from the Lord. We state what's in the Bible. Doesn't get much simpler than that.

I managed to read the pale turquoise but the highlighted section didn't come out so I've altered that to Aquamarine. There is no such thing as a Christian rock band.

The psychedelic jackets on the record albums have their own hidden symbols and messages as well as the lyrics to all the top rock songs and they all sing the same refrain: It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins.
2. Drums are the instruments of satanists, devil worshipers and pagans, and should never be listened to. The rhythm has been proven to have a brainwashing effect on children, and slowly converts them to satanism. If you hear drums, block your ears! I cannot stress this enough.
3. Rock music encourages rebellion. The Lord orders us to submit to unto him, but with this rock and roll in our ears, we are likely to rebel against Him and His word. Further, the music teaches children not to listen to the wise counsel of their parents. How can we raise our children to be good Christian Americans when they listen to this rebellious filth?
4. Rock music encourages homosexuality and transvestism with men wearing make-up, and even dresses or skirts (which they try and say are "kilts", ha! We know better than to fall for that! Clearly rock represents a homosexual agenda, with all male groups touring the countryside in one bus. Most likely they are sharing the same bed as well, but let's not get into that.
5. Rock encourages women to start thinking for themselves, and to believe that they don't need a husband to guide and lead them. So-called female rockers parade on stage singing about nonsense like "independence". All such performers are lesbians or possibly bisexual, as some travel alone with large groups of men.
6. So-called "Christian" rock groups are the worst of all. Not only do they put the name of our almighty God into these "songs" with drums and guitars, which is the height of blasphemy might I add, but they're also part of the same agenda as the rest of them. They attempt to fool good Christian children and parents into buying their music in order to brainwash them and convert them to satanism.
7. Rock tries to tell us that the government is wrong, but only when a Republican is in office. Look how they've stopped doing that since Comrade Obama muscled his way into office. They've always wanted to destroy our beautiful capitalist country with their socialist ideals. Remember, it's a small step from rock music to communism.
8. Rock music encourages promiscuity and whoredom with their overly sexual lyrics and innuendo. They parade around on stage and in videos half-naked in an attempt to convince young girls (and boys) that they want to have sex with them. Studies have shown that children and teenagers who listen to rock are 22% more likely to have sex with older persons.
9. Rock concerts are often used to present propaganda about "peace". This is a clear distraction from the war that God has ordained us to win. If the rock musicians were in charge, we'd all be living under the rule of the Saudis by now!
10. Lastly, rock music encourages us not to read God's Holy Bible. The lyrics of nearly all rock songs are laced with subliminal messages telling us to burn our Bibles and submit to the will of Satan! We must ensure our children read the Bible instead of listening to this filth.
|
You may think this is harmless. Satan wants everyone to think that. That's how he get people into the fire with him where everyone will be tortured forever. The Bible explains that is what everyone is born deserving.
Ephesians 2 . KJV . look up
2 In time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Celebrating evil, the evil of eating toadstools and freaking out at a "drum workshop" for example, is not something a Christian would do, or even could do, because this is an idolatrous and wicked thing to do. But the metal drummer will attend such debauches or even wilder events seeking a new hypnotic rhythm or potent drum timbre for use later. These are melded into all rock music and particularly the metal.
Other points are listed and you can read that thread explaining how the demoniac gets started with metal. Mrs Whitford has collected some examples of where that path can lead especially when heathens get involved. So if you listen to The Skillets, consider: - Where did they learn their rhythms?
- How did they come up with that drum sound?
- Is this really a Christian band?
- Should I keep their music?
- Or should I burn it.
When people dance to heavy metal, the cacophony is so loud that it rattles the bones. That's not all it rattles. No wonder the poor fools dancing under its spell soon start to think about what "rock" actually means and before you know it it's in with the immodest apparel and broided hair which confirms point 10 right there!

When a person dies, the heart stops beating. At this point, brain activity continues for about 6–8 minutes, producing copious amounts of the chemical called DMT, or N-dimethyltryptamine – the strongest psychedelic ever known to mankind. It is also the chemical responsible for you dreaming every night. Heaven then, would be your ego tripping balls to all the great stuff you’ve done. Hell would be you feeling guilty and blaming yourself for all the times you had been an asshole.

That's an interesting.... guess. But the Holy Bible doesn't say anything about chemicals, the existence of psychedelics, or self-blame. Jesus blames us, that's in there. That's kind of the whole entire plot of the Bible, actually. Jesus blames us for being born in sin, then in an epic plot twist, He sacrifices Himself so we can avoid His vengeance. Have you accepted Him as your Savior yet?

Obviously, we would never accept merely scientific evidence, but don't you think that if you're going to make a claim like this, you ought to at least try to provide some reason not to treat you like an ignorant "doped-up" headbanger? I count at least five claims there, plus a non-sequitur conclusion.

Mr. Famine,
We are well aware of the still far-fetched assertions about endogenous n-dimethyltryptamine. You have here two claims that should be assessed, principally by you before you present them. As you failed to do that, we are here to assist you. Praise Jesus! Your two claims are as follows:- DMT is responsible for out dreaming.
- It is responsible for the near-death experience.
OK, time to look at available evidence. There is none. There is only a hypothesis based on the work of Barker et al. They studied rats. After that, widespread speculation began.
Quote:
In 2013, researchers reported finding DMT in the pineal gland of rodents — the pineal gland in the brain produces melatonin (a hormone derived from serotonin) which affects sleep patterns and circadian rhythms. This study sparked the widespread assertion that DMT occurs in the human pineal gland and is released during dreams as well as at or shortly before birth and death, but the claim still needs to be scientifically verified with further research.
|
Dr. Strassman became an enthusiast and studied people exposed to this chemical.
Quote:
Dr. Strassman hypothesizes that when a person is approaching death or possibly even just in a dream state, the body releases relatively large amounts of DMT. The majority of his volunteers reported profound encounters with non-humans and deep spiritual experiences, and Dr. Strassman believes that DMT could explain some of the wild imagery described by survivors of near-death experiences as well as those recounting their dreams.
|
Now, I must compliment Dr. Strassman, who admits that this is a hypothesis. You, however, report it as fact. This is called confirmation bias. You cling to the data that support your preconceptions and dismiss any doubt and uncertainty. It is a devious way to disregard God. The Bible tells us that God is responsible for some of the most magnificent dreams related to Jesus Christ.
Matthew 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Now we can make a hypothesis. If God was a product of endogenous DMT, He should appear only during REM sleep or the near-death experience (we shall call this hypothesis 1). The method of Creation Science is unbiased, so we search also evidence not supporting the original notion (hypothesis 1). If God also appeared during regular waking consciousness without any immediate death treat, hypothesis 1 would collapse.
As it happens, Paul (who was called Saul back then), encountered Jesus in broad daylight, no REM-sleep, no mortal peril. He was just strolling on a highway minding his own business, when...
Acts 9:3-4
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Q.E.D. Hypothesis 1 fails. God remains a much more plausible explanation. Therefore, God exists. I am sure, however, that you appreciate the unbiased assessment that we gave your hypothesis.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer
2 Kings 18:25 - Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

If you listen to Christian Metal, then no.Otherwise, Y-E-S.
OK, OK, I also must admit I listen to jazz, blues and country, but nothing is as bad as metal.
As long as it doesn't contain positive lyrics.
