And exactly which form of "natural selection" has been "proven"? Has an ape given birth to a human? After all we're 99.4% chimpanzee (or is it 97%? 60%, meh I guess it depends on who you ask).

We are 0% chimpanzees, after all, these wild animals solve all their social problems either through violence ( http://www.economist.com/node/16422404) or sex ( http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/...t-love-and-sex), and that is totally unlike us!
Disclaimer: Please excuse the crappiness of these "scientific" links that forcefully compare humans with these wild beasts. Read for yourselves and you will see that we are absolutely NOTHING like that. Animals follow instincts. We follow the Word of God (Joshua 11:6-8).

And you may want to look at who you're speaking to. I AM A TRUE CHRISTIAN™ woman.
I was asking the supposed "intelligent" person what part of natural selection had been proven.

No problem, I get sarcastic sometimes because these atheists just spew off what their leaders tell them and do no research.
For example, I look up "how related are we to chimps" and got the following answers on the first page of results.
98.5%
99%
99.6%
Oh wait, this page says we're more related to Gorillas than to chimps 99% Gorilla and 98% chimp with 15% shared (makes sense right? :crazy). I guess if we breed a gorilla and a chimp together we should get a human?
98.5% the same and 2.7% different (yeah that adds up)
95%
The 98.5% number was "discovered" back in 1953 and based on the proteins in the Y-Chromosone. So I guess that means that men are really the ones related? Of course not, it just means that God used "proteins" to build us and chimpanzees (and all other animals as well).
Of course a lot more research has been done, but because it proves that we're more separated from the animals than the above study says, it's pretty much ignored.
I also read an article that said St. Bernard dogs were not genetically related to Newfoundland dogs. Well that's really funny, because if you look at the records of the monks at St. Bernard, when almost all of their dogs were wiped out by distemper back in 1860, Newfoundlanders were one of the breeds they used to rebuild the breed.
I'm not a fan of catholic monks, but I can't see why they would lie about what breeds they used. But who are they to argue against some geneticist.

99% seems to be the most agreed upon, maybe it means that chimps and gorillas are closely related to the 99% movement? That would explain A LOT!

Well, the whole genetics thing is the fault of a Catholic monk - the best example to show that monasteries are the source of all evil - including science.

Well really, all Mendel said was like breeds like, which is pretty obvious to most people so I'm not sure how this was a "great scientific advancement".
But the rest of it..... bah..... The further I looked into theories the more I realized none of these experts had any real idea and were just guessing. But when you're getting a degree you don't question your professors, you just shut up and parrot back whatever theory they happen to promote.

"the data confirms that humans and chimps are indeed the most closely related — we share 99% of our DNA, compared to 98% with gorillas and 97% with orangutans"
Direct quote from your link. This would probably be more useful than misreading things and putting up the wrong information.
The human genome = 1 thing, or 100%
15% of the human genome is more similar to part of a gorilla's genome than part of a chimp's genome. 15% of the chimp's genome is more similar to the gorilla's and there's some poor wording at this point. Nowhere does it say that humans are more closely related to gorillas.
All it takes is a little reading comprehension.

Ah, so now the scientists are wrong because you say so. I always love how you guys do that. I mean we had one "expert" on here that said we weren't related to apes at all. Hold it, was that you? Did you change your name and theory again?

I just love how you guys all come on here with different "truths" and tell us that your "truth" is better than all the other "truths" even though science is always changing.
Sorry, but there is only one "truth" that I trust in.
Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Is your internet broken? I'm not going to waste my time looking up garbage for you. The "study" was some idiots genetics dissertation and the breeding is common knowledge in the dog world.
But genetics is ALWAYS right, right? After all, C.C. is identical to Rainbow, right?

Again, all it takes is a little reading. Reading isn't a sin, is it?
He said that humans didn't evolve from apes, not that they aren't related. This is true depending on how you classify apes. Which means: would you consider the common ancestor an ape? If not, then no, humans didn't evolve from apes.
Also, he might've meant modern apes.

Why are you criticizing some idiot's study as if it were a fact?

They aren't identical. People know why they aren't identical. Why don't you?

So now we're not related to apes. I do wish you people would make up your minds.

Because it was considered scientifically valid and she received her doctoral from it. Hence she is now a full fledged genetic scientist.

But C.C. is a clone of Rainbow, therefore they are 100% the same, but they're not identical?

Let me clarify. We are apes, and we evolved from other apes. When I was stating about not being evolved from apes, I was talking about not be evolved from modern apes. (chimpanzees or orangutans). These also evolved from other non-modern apes, and eventually, there was an ancestor species that gave rise to both/all ape species.

Let's see if you can tell the difference between an ape and a human. This is an ape:
And this is a human:
Garsh, they are so SIMILAR!!!

They are.
- Chimpanzees share 99% of the same DNA.
- They communicate using their facial expressions - same as those of a human.
- Both humans and chimpanzees are able to walk on their two legs.
- Eyes are similar.
- Both humans and chimpanzees are able to modify their environment to forge tools to help them.
etc. etc.

Friend, your logic is so full of holes, it is truly worthy of a belly laugh.
As everyone with half a brain knows, we are all made from the materials of the firmament. God assembled us. He also assembled dogs. He gave us nice cars like Bentleys and cars for nigras like Chrysler 300's. But the building blocks are the same. But God does not take Chrysler 300's and turn them into Speed R's. That is plain silly.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
