Jesus is not some kind of intellectual construct. Jesus is real and in your heart and you know it and that is that. If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal savior, you will perish and then burn in Hell in an eternity of agony. My advice is to read the Word of God, as presented in His Book, the Holy Bible. Take care to read only the King James Version, that you may not be led astray by false doctrine. If God finds you worthy of His love, you will be filled with His presence and allowed to ascend to Heaven upon your passing. There, you will pass eternity having picnics and enjoying the fellowship of the saved, all the while in His light.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

If any of you have ever made a mistake then your not perfect and I know everyone of you have so cut your bullshit and admit the truth that your imperfect like the rest of us and that's ok. We're all imperfect its how the Lord made us. To say your perfect just shows how ignorant and stupid you all are. The only beings who are perfect are the Lord, the Savior, and the Holy Spirit. If any of you think your perfect then you need to go ahead and label yourself as unsaved trash because you are trying to compare yourselves to the Lord, the Savior and the Holy Spirit which is very unchristian like.

Yes, Mr. Chris, ut us Harsha Shah here.
I am thinking that your post is very sad and beautiful. I am thinking that your world view is very humble but that it might be keeping people oppressed. Yes. I am hoping that I am not offending you. I have been thinking that the christians are correct here but they are excluding too many people. I am thinking that we can all be perfect and that we are perfect regardless of our religion. Yes we are.
Yes. I am afraind that the next issue might be offending you but I am finding the christian views on guilt very sad and not beautiful. You are saying that everyone is guilty all the time but the modern society has learned that we are innocent unless we are being treated in a way that makes us choose violence. Yes. I am trying to be a modern, strong and independent woman. Yes. I have been learning this when I have been teaching RME that is religious and moreal education for schoolchildren. Yes.
I am saying that we are perfect unless we're being twisted into guilt. Yes, I am not saying that children should be allowed to do anything but that they should not be thinking that they are rotten to begin with. Yes.
"Ecclesiastes 3:7
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak."Yes. Women are saving lives. It is time we are speaking! Yes!

It is impossible for True Christians to make mistakes. We trust in God completely, and we are guided in our actions and decisions by faith. And since God is perfect, then True Christians are perfect.

If you've ever sinned, raise your hand. If anyone is not raising their hand, you have just lied, and lying would be a sin, therefore proving my point. It is nearly impossible to never have sinned.
Here's one for the record. Jesus said that anyone who was mad at his brother had already committed murder. Let me simplify this: If you've ever been aggressively angry or murderous to anyone; gays, muslims, mormons, whatever, you've sinned. It is impossible for someone to never sin.
To say that you are "without sin" makes you equal with God. That is blasphemy. There is not one person on this Earth who has ever sinned, and there is not one person that Jesus doesn't want to save. Remember the verse John 8:7? The verses after that state that the people began to leave, the older ones first (the wisest of the people), until all were gone. Keep in mind these are the people that studied the scriptures (The Bible) intently, and kept it down to the letter. I hope this sounds painfully familiar.
As for your actual beliefs, you can't possibly keep the scripture down to the letter, because there would be a great deal less people in the United States. Here's a question for you; if God said not to murder, why did He have the Israelites kill hundreds of thousands of people? And don't simply say that "He wanted to". That won't suffice, because the answer is a fall-back, and isn't actually a retort.
I came across a disturbing thread while I was reading on this site. It stated that you people believe that if a woman is raped, that she MUST marry her rapist. This is one of your many examples of things in the Bible that were written for a certain time, and apply to a certain time. Another example is that women must remain silent in the churches. Why, I'll explain that next.
Back in the time when the law "a rapist must marry his victim", women were almost exclusively valued based on their virginity. All of the virgins back then would have been unmarried, so the rape of one would be the rape of the unmarried. In this time, if a woman was a non-virgin and unmarried, her life would be ruined, as no man would marry a woman who was not a virgin, and women did not work in that time. By having a rapist marry his victim, it would ensure that the victim was taken care of in life, although it is unfortunate.
Before you spout at me, consider this; Imagine I, or even worse, a Muslim raped your daughter. Unless you are hypocrites, you would then force your daughter to marry her rapist, correct? Think about this for a moment. What would become of your daughter? Most likely she would become abused, depressed, and would drift from God. This would be an absolutely horrible thing, and it implies that if I want to marry a women, I simply have to rape her, because apparently 'it isn't the rapist's fault, the woman shouldn't have presented herself like that'. Say you wouldn't let her? That would be a double standard, meaning that you would be hypocritical.
As for the women remaining silent in the churches, again we must think as to the setting. Back in the days of Paul, women were often uneducated and weren't trained for intelligent discussion. Also, the churches were divided up with men on one half, and women on the other. Paul wrote this because women were speaking up in the middle of service (which were crudely organized) and spouting the first thing that woman had on her mind. This disrupted others and caused chaos. Likewise 'they should ask there own husbands at home', was dated because since the churches were divided up male/female, the uneducated women would rush over to their husband's every time they had a question that they wanted answered, thus creating more confusion.
I think the biggest issue lies in the question of 'why' to each one of God's commands. He gives them to us for a reason, not just because he felt like it. He wants us to live in harmony with each other, and these laws simply help out. Many of the laws in Leviticus actually were scientifically proven to have been healthier in that time period. If we ask "Why should we not murder" we will find an answer that is somewhat like; because what makes you above your fellow man that God loves?
Note: Although I may have pointed a few things out, I didn't call names, make slurs or preform any ad hominem attacks. I expect the same, as it says in the scripture.

Interesting. You like a lengthy post that cites only a single Bible verse, which means that you either dislike or haven't bothered to read several replies which contained Biblical backup for nearly every sentence.
Why do you keep calling yourself a "Christian" if you don't even want to bother to read the Book which you supposedly regard as the Word of God?

Depends. We are perfect in the spirit, but not in the flesh. Saying we could be perfect in our carnal nature is Methodist doctrine.

We already know you are beholden to the law of sin. Fleshly desires have no appeal to Christians, no doubt they do to Methodists but at the top of the page as you may not have noticed this is a Baptist congregation.

Hi miss 666,
Welcome to this forum. There are some rules that apply here such as properly introducing yourself. This forum has a sub forum where you can do just that:
Then there is something like decorum. Barging in and shouting ¨Do you want to <Removed by JesOS>¨ is never appreciated. I hope you take some time to reflect and I hope your future contributions will be at least somewhat palatable.
Kind regards,

Matthew 25:35-41 I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. I've been very busy with hospital visitations recently. If someone needs a comfy chair I'm happy to provide one or home cooked meals or shopping for them. Of course some people would just stand outside the window and laugh or wait until they eventually managed to nod off, then bang on the glass. God is Jesus and Jesus is clear: the best they can hope for is a spit roast. Otherwise it's the brimstone cauldron; you see The Bible is explicit here. The everlasting fire is well described, where evils go: Revelation 14:10-11 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Not very appealing is it. Christians have a duty to make sure everyone knows what The Bible teaches. WE may be mocked for what God has taught but we never stand outside the glass and mock others. If they're hungry we feed them and if they're incapacitated we help them. The Bible shows us how best to bring that about.
The Bible is a fantastic book; I can thoroughly recommend it.

Correct, we are perfect thanks to Christ and his sacrifice at Calvary.
Genesis 6:9 - These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Isaiah 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
2 Corinthian 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I am quite amazed that people who proclaim to be Christians still haven't read the passages which clearly state that those who follow Jesus are sin-free.

No one who knows me could fail to see God's perfect work. I praise Him daily that He reached down and touched me, making me whole when I was once but a sin-sick wretch. Yes, He granted me handsome good looks, intelligence, a kind and caring heart, and the discernment to help others - especially horses - something He hasn't done for several people I know.
God's plan of Salvation® has changed my life. Glory to His Name.
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen
