Question Taking a look, praying for guidance - 11-08-2009, 03:47 AM

Hello Landover Baptist members. My name is Nikolas, I am a single Christian man who has been seeking a 'true' church for a while now.

My 'new' walk began about ten years ago when, as a young man involved in my local church (non-denominational), I began noticing how superficial and 'empty' the message and the Spirit felt in this church.

I was led by the spirit to the King James Bible by a few verses that struck me. As I asked God to guide me into HIS truth, whatever that may be, He responded first by showing me his 'firstfruits' were always blessed and more holy. Therefore, King James was the only translation to trust.

Then I read it cover to cover. Then I did it again. What I found made me angry. These wishy-washy 'modernists' had been feeding me lies and half-truths about God's Holy Word.

There are so many lies being taught as God's truth these days I do not even know where to begin. Female pastors is one of the big ones.

I have been reading all kinds of things on this site for several hours now and I am intrigued by the appearance of Godliness in your teachings. Forgive the necessity of being hesitant, but evil is often hiding in places that appear Godly. As in all things, I trust the Spirit of the Lord to guide me in this.

I am a white guy and as such I am wondering about your teaching on negros. As I read the Bible and saw God teaching about not 'blending with other peoples', I took away from that not a race warning but a religous warning. That marrying and socializing with those who do not believe in God is a danger to your eternal soul.

Is there something I missed or interpreted incorrectly? Are white people the only chosen race of God? Does that include ALL white races? Are blacks, asians, mexicans and what-not able to get into heaven and if so what place do they have in the eternal Kingdom?

Another question, although I already knew that women were not to be leaders or bread-winners, I did not think they were less valuable in the eyes of God. Is that what you are saying? Do women go to heaven? I know the ancient church once debated if women even had a soul. What do you guys think?

If all this is true, no wonder we have all the problems we do in our country. People should have to pass an IQ test before they can vote and these other races all seem to be simple-minded liberal-lovers. Unless you say something about gay marriage...at least the negro's hate that too!

Anyway, thank you in advance for your answers to my questions. If nothing else, the reading I have done on your boards these last couple of hours was intriguing and has given me quite a bit to think, pray and study His Word about.

Thank you,

Nikolas

Welcome Nikolas to God's Favorite Forum™. To address your questions, negroes and other minority races are able to enter the Kingdom of God. Galatians 3:28 tells us "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

That question also answers if women can get to Heaven. God does not see women as less valuable than men, it's just they have their roles ordained by God that make some people misunderstand the Scripture as "sexist". Women are meant to be wives, mothers, and homemakers.

I hope this has helped.

Question Re: Taking a look, praying for guidance - 11-08-2009, 03:58 AM

One other question: I just read the welcome letter that was bot-sent after I registered. It says, "We ask that you post respectfully and adhere to proper American grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules, as Jesus demands."

Jesus demands we use American language rules? Or that we use proper communication via our language of origin? Where does this statement originate from Biblically?

I was not aware that there were any 'communication' rules in the Bible other than content (think on these things). Does God command a certain way of speaking and writing?

Do you know of any grammatical errors in the KJV?

Any errors of any sort?

Why do you think that is?

Regarding your second question: God is indeed a stickler for accuracy and correct spelling/grammar, for He demands it in following His law...

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

But, you needn't worry about that necessarily since you seem to have no problem writing correctly.

Rev Osborn,

Thanks for the reply. That helps to a point. The threads I have been reading, such as 'Women don't even count as people'. I realize they have thier place Biblically but there is an overtone that men are more important in Gods plan than women are. Not that I am refuting that statement, just undecided on the issue.

I have also read here that negros are considered relatively ignoant, especially when compared to a white man, and are Biblically bound to be the servants of white men on Earth. That is what your threads say. Does this include other races or just blacks? Are whites the superior race here on Earth and then we are all equal once in heaven?

So there are no gender distinctions in heaven then? Is that what the verse you quoted is saying? I have been wondering about that verse for a while now as well...what does that mean exactly? "No male or female..."

Thank you,

Nikolas

The Negro is indeed designed to be a servant race. I recommend you read my post concerning this. They are the sons of Ham, and as we know in Genesis that God cursed all his descendents to be servants. But there is no such thing as a "superior/inferior" race. All races have aptitudes they excel at and also fail at. For example, negroes are very athletic, musical, and a hardy race. But when it comes to abstract thinking or other intellectual endeavors, they are greatly challenged.

What the verse means is that race, gender, and social status have no bearing on you if you accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

Welcome to God's favorite forum, Nikki. What part of Oregon are you in? Wherever it is, you must be surrounded in a sea of queers and hippies, am I right?

I see you're interested in what the Bible says about the races. Pastor Billy Reuben has an excellent thread going HERE on the subject. I recommend it.

Please tell us more about yourself, friend. How old are you? Why are you still unmarried? God needs you to procreate and give Him sons who can become soldiers for Christ in the future.

How did you come to find Jesus? Share your testimony, please!

Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Rev. Osborne,

Thank you for the link. That was very helpful. I understand what you are talking about now. Essentially we are all ‘trapped’ after a fashion in this sinful world, bound to our race and gender specific duties while here on Earth, to be freed from all affliction and bondage upon entrance into heaven. God has a plan for us while we are here and our duty is to follow that plan in our proper place. Excellent teaching there, Rev. Osborne. Now I understand the race issue.

Pastor Ezekiel,

Thank you for the warm welcome!

First off, if I may, I do believe that ‘Nikki’ is the feminine form of shortening ‘Nikolas’ and ‘Nicky’ is the masculine form. Actually, because of the spelling of my name, most people call me Niko .

I am 35 years old and yes I am surrounded by crazy liberal hippies here in Oregon. It is beautiful country out here and great for fishing and camping and hunting. It is sad that those San Frans bled their taint all up the coast. There are some more conservative areas here and there (one of their reps spoke at the last tea party a few days ago with Michelle Bachman). Still, it is mostly gays and hippies.

Anyway, when did I find Jesus? Interesting question, one I have asked myself a few times. Thing is I was baptized into the Mormon church, raised Protestant, went angry-atheist for a while and then came back to Christ in Protestantism, tossed it aside and have been seeking God on my own for about ten years now. I have known that Jesus was the perfect son of God here on Earth, born of a virgin, died on the cross for my sins and was raised the third day.

That basic is about all I really ‘knew’. There was no meat to the things I was taught. They taught stories and certain behaviors, but nothing too offensive against female rights or other such things. I became dissolution by my home church, and God, as a young man when my father was in an accident and as he was dying and I prayed and called the pastor, I later find out the pastor was caught having sex with the youth-pastors wife in the church office. I broke his nose and blamed him and God for my father’s death.

That is what I mean by ‘angry-atheist’. I denied God, knowing full well that He existed. I affirmed there was no God, knowing in my heart it was a lie.

It took me about a year to calm down and realize what I had done. I had blamed God for tragedy and then denied Him as Peter did before others. I begged for forgiveness and swore to seek Him more fully. I began a search for a church whose message rang true.

I went to several churches of various denominations and frankly became more confused than ever before. They preached so many different ‘flavors’ of Christ that it was like being in a frickin’ Baskin Robbins. I was confused and decided to offer it to God and see what happened.

A few days later I was checking my email and one of the gadgets I have is a verse of the day. The verse said that if I knocked it would be opened. So decided to just read the whole Bible myself and decide for myself what God was and wanted from mankind. I decided to go with the King James, figuring the first one would be the less tainted and read it front to back twice.

I discovered they were all wishy-washy fools, all of those churches that I had been to in my area. Once I stopped listening to what preachers were telling me and read it for myself, the truth was right there to be seen. Female pastors, metro-sexual ideals replacing manly ones, all the ways in which it has become very unpopular to be a real Christian and to voice what that means. Or to be a real man and voice what THAT means!

I have been yearning for a like-minded community for a while. I figured I would have to move somewhere but did not know where. A friend at the local café recommended checking the internet. I have always ignored networking sites, instant messaging, etc; preferring face-to-face interactions with people. Hell, I even hate talking on the phone.

I decided that I am never going to figure out where I want to be or be able to find a real Christian woman someday unless I started networking, so here I am.

The women around here cannot seem to handle me and what I would expect of her if we married. There are some women out there that walk away the minute I tell them I ‘expect’ anything! I wonder sometimes if there are any decent women left in this world.

So to answer your question, I have not found the right woman. I have dated several times over the years and I admit to co-habitated for a while with a woman I knew I would never marry. I do not know what I was thinking when I did that, I got myself caught up with a woman I should have never dated in the first place. But that story is for another time.

So here I am, looking for like-minded American Christians who follow the Word of God in Spirit and in Truth.

Nikolas
