Do I have to really stone my prize bull to death? -
11-02-2014, 12:14 PM
OK - I have a bit of a thorny problem. One of my Mexicans I keep on my farm was recently gored by my prize breeding bull.
Exodus 21:28-32
28“When an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten, but the owner of the ox shall not be liable. 29But if the ox has been accustomed to gore in the past, and its owner has been warned but has not kept it in, and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death. 30If a ransom is imposed on him, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is imposed on him. 31If it gores a man’s son or daughter, he shall be dealt with according to this same rule. 32If the ox gores a slave, male or female, the owner shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. It's the first time it has killed anyone so I don't have to get one of you to stone me, but do Mexicans really count? I don't have to pay anyone compensation but he was my Mexican so it's not like anyone else has been inconvenienced.
I'd like some advice from one of the Pastors. This is going to cost me money. That's a good breeding animal.

Was the Mexican killed? If this animal has not attacked anyone else in the past, then you are safe from God's wrath. If it has attacked anyone else, then you are in a heap of trouble, Brother.
Mexicans usually hold a BBQ plate sale to pay for funerals. You might deflect some of the anger by donating the animal for the feast. Mexicans are especially appreciative of the head, with which they make barbacoa, which is a heathen imitation of barbeque.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

The flesh may not be eaten, Brother. That's my problem. I'm out a whole heap of cash for breeding rights and I can't even get a steak, all because of one Mexican nobody even knows is missing, if you catch my drift.
I hope a Pastor can see a way out of my predicament.

Did anyone see the goreing? Maybe it wasn't your bull that did it. Maybe someone dumped the body in your bull's paddock?
If he does have to be stoned, you could get a sickular fag vet to harvest his wrigglers before the stoning, and that way you'd still get the benefits of his breedings.

I'd say hold on to that bull. The wetback probably got drunk on Tequila and gored himself, so it wasn't the bull's fault.
Plus, it was just a Mexican.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

The Bible says if it gores a man or woman. Doesn't say anything about goring a Mexican. I think you're safe.
Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Loosely speaking, could the messican be considered your slave? If so, verse 32 says give yourself 30 shekels. It still says to stone the beast, but it doesn't say to death in that verse .
Throw a handful of pebbles at it, and I think you're in the clear.

So, no one has warned you. In that case if it kills a man again, you are safe from being stoned. This verse also assumes that when it gored in the past, it was not stoned. So not all bulls get stoned from goring. Your bull is free to have his way with the cows

Hello Jim Farmer.
In the Bible verse you quoted the ox has gored in the past but it was not stoned to death so there has to be a way to save the steaks but I can not figure it out.
I went back and read Exodus 21 to see if it explained it but I got to the part where the master pokes a hole in the ear of the servant and I had to stop because I got queasy.
Thank you.
