Giving Thanks to God -
11-05-2006, 01:55 PM
Thanksgiving is for God!
Thanksgiving is not a once a year event for True Christians™.
Ps 50:14-15 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
A sacrifice is a form of worship, and thanksgiving is also. Thanksgiving gives honor to God. When we look to God to meet our needs He does not disappoint us, and we in turn thank Him; thereby, giving honor and glory to Him.
Thanksgiving is also a time to review one's Tithing schedule, for Jesus does need these funds to carry out His good works. Be sure to "pay thy vows" Brothers and sisters!
Ps 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
When we do that which is right God provides for our needs, and we in turn glorify Him, by offering praise, that is by giving thanks to Him. Therefore, if we do that which is right, we will honor God, by thanking Him from the heart.
Ps 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving magnifies God, because it gives Him credit for all that He has done and will do. So break out those Perry Como pop LPs for Thanksgiving, and go ahead and magnify Jesus!
Ps 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Whenever we approach God we should do so with thanksgiving. Furthermore, true thanksgiving will include songs within our heart and upon our lips.
Ps 100:4-5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
When we approach God we should always do so with thanksgiving. We should not only give Him thanks for all that He has done for us, but we should thank Him and praise Him for who He is, because He is always good, loving, kind, and faithful to all who are chosen by Him. He is worthy of thanksgiving.
Ps 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
When we worship God with thanksgiving we should do so by making mention of His great works with joyful singing. A joyful and thankful heart is true worship.
Ps 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
When we ask God to meet our need we should also give thanks; prayer without thanksgiving is prayer without faith. If you truly believe that God will answer your prayer, you will give thanks with every request. He provided me with a new Cadillac Escalade!
Ps 147:7-9&14 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
We should give thanks to God because He supplies the earth with all that it needs to produce life. Every creature is dependent upon Him for life and survival. The fruitfulness of the earth is from the Lord. We are all dependent upon Him to supply all our needs and He does not fail us when we trust in Him to supply. Thanksgiving is a sign of our faith and trust in God.
Jonah 2:7-10 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
While Jonah was under discipline from the Lord, Jonah repented and declared that he would again offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, because he believed in the grace and faithfulness of God. True thanksgiving must be from the heart, with faith; therefore, when we experience the trials of discipline, we can be sure that we will again give thanks to the Lord when we respond to His discipline with repentance.
2 Cor 9:10-11 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
God not only supplies all our physical needs, but He also supplies all that we need in our service to Him. When follow His Holy Word, He rewards us in multiple ways, including the slaughter of His enemies.
Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
We should never be anxious for anything, but we should always look to God to supply all our needs, both physical and spiritual. God provides for those who follow His literal Word, if we ask for it on our knees.
Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Prayer with thanksgiving is prayer with faith. True faith will result in prayer with thanksgiving, and when prayer is offered with thanksgiving, God will honor that prayer.
Rev 7:11-12 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
All true prayer and worship includes thanksgiving. We honor God with thanksgiving. I know at my thanksgiving table, my family and friends try to re-enact that scene from the Book of Revelation every year. GLORY!
Thank you God, for making me a blond-haired, blue-eyed, American Male Republican True Christian! I'll save a drumstick for the baby Jesus.

Praise Jesus Pastor!
And may we give thanks to God today for the brave pilgrims that established the United States for Jesus Christ! Without their heroic efforts in repelling the threat of the diseased and murderous redskin savages, we might be still in Godless England boiling mutton and drinking tea.
All Glory to God!
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Today after the men returned from working the fields, I went out to the chicken coops (in person) and thanked them. I made each and every one of them drop to their knees and thank Jesus for the bounty they harvested for me.
Praise Jesus!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Shout Glory, my brethren! It's high time we started posting our thanks to our Creator again, and giving Him the credit He is due for His enduring and benevolant love.
I have just returned from my appointment with Professor Bessemer for my annual Ex-Gay psychological evaluation and physical examination. I wasn't worried about any seminal residue or evidence of colonic trauma, as I know for certain that I have refrained from packing mud and/or fellating strangers this year, with the strength that Jesus gives me every day in my walk with Him.
But the psych was troubling. Would the Professor find that I still had suppressed desires for rectal recidivism? A semi-dormant effeminancy? An unhealthy admiration of rainbows?
I am happy to report that, by the grace of God, my Ex-Gay certificate has been renewed for another year. I continue to be 100 percent fag-free, praise Jesus. Thank you, thank you, thank you God!
Share your thanks to our Lord.
In Christ

Brother Harold, news like this gladdens my heart. I hope you don't mind but I just read out your post to my children and they told me to tell you that they are very happy that you continue to be rectally fag free ,
Zebida said 'only Jesus can do that'
Glory!

Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
I know God wouldn't let me believe in Him if He didn't exist.

I am praising Jesus with you right now, Brother Porter!
\0/
I will give thanks unto the LORD this day for healing my daughter of strep throat! She isn't healed quite yet because the Adversary has lied to her and convinced her flesh she is ill. As a consequence she is running a terribly high fever and her throat hurts too much to swallow. The LORD put it upon my heart to pray over her and NOT let her give into Satan's Lies! Her body is in reality JUST FINE and only when she steps out in faith will she be rid of the demons who are attacking her now.
I may be but a woman, but I am still a warrior in Christ's Army!
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints
Ephesians 6:10-18
In faith, we will not rely on antibiotics for my precious Shiphrah. Those who would like to join us in prayer are welcome to do so.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Yes! Thank you God! Thank you! I'm just so overwhelmed with joy knowing that God hates everyone who doesn't believe in Him and has an indescribably horrific place filled with torture, despair, and pain waiting for them when they die.
Praise be to Jesus!
