    Not a good start.

Attention Unsaved Trash: This the ONLY subforum you can start threads in. Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.
God created fossils to test our faith.

    My favorite LBC sermons:
    True Christians are Perfect!
    True Christian™ Love.
    Salvation™ made Easy!
You can’t be a Christian if you don’t believe the Old Testament.
Jesus is impolite. Deal with it.
Jesus is xenophobic and so should we.
Sanctity of Life is NOT a Biblical Concept.
    Biblical view on modern-day slavery.
The Immorality of the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights."
Geneva Conventions vs. The Holy Bible.
    God HATES Rational Thinking!
True Christian™ Man as a spitting image of God.

I expected that answer and I think I can live with it.

      Then let me start:

I sadly still go to a Catholic church and now it feels like for a big mistake.

Overall, I prefer praying at home since I know God can hear me from anywhere.

Well, for nearly all my life - OK, only 20 years - I have managed to avoid alcohol and drugs. When I'm depressed, I talk to God and Jesus. There are many ways to communicate to God - just not drugs.

My favorite line is: "Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old selfs with its practices." (Colossians 3:9)

Is there anything more you have/want to know? Just ask.

        Hello and to

It's not often we get guests from as far away as Austria. How's the barbies, mate? Put another shrimp on the barbie! Loverly day for a barbie. She'll be roight. I just LOVE your accents!

I expected that answer and I think I can live with it.
That's just as well. I mean, not much choice is there, really.

Overall, I prefer praying at home since I know God can hear me from anywhere.
I hope this isn't some scheme to avoid tithing? It sounds rather scammy. Why not pop along to your local independent Baptist Church and get started properly. You're wasting time, young lady. Go now, drop everything, RUN RUN RUN.

Well, for nearly all my life - OK, only 20 years - I have managed to avoid alcohol and drugs. When I'm depressed, I talk to God and Jesus. There are many ways to communicate to God - just not drugs.
OK so, perhaps you will find time in between not doing anything interesting to READ THE INTRODUCTION AND ANSWER SOME BASIC QUESTIONS.

My favorite line is: "Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old selfs with its practices." (Colossians 3:9)
I looked in my Bible and it does not say that AT ALL. It says "Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds". Did you translate the passage yourself from an Australian copy? BAD. You should use some of your vast, wasted spare time to learn early 17th century English then you can read the Bible in its original form.

Is there anything more you have/want to know? Just ask.
When will you be coming back? We have so much to talk about!!!!
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

There's a lot wrong with the Church for sure, but there are some good elements about it. Most Catholics are lovely people. You seem like a lovely person too!

Drugs can be a big no-no, but I assure you that there is nowhere in the Bible that says we can't have a little drink now and then.

Yes! What does LW stand for? How much is your social security benefit? What do you like doing Friday evenings?

Most people who do things feeling like a big mistake stop doing them.

Overall, I prefer praying at home since I know God can hear me from anywhere.
EXAMPLE 1 a papist in his humility
Is that the same "God" you pray to in your papist enclave? Catholics owe allegiance to popes over and above any duty towards national leaders such as Queens or Presidents and in catholic countries it's Romish clergy who claim authority over the heads of state and regard themselves as princes of the church, whatever that means. There may be constitutional reasons why they can't exercise that authority but they still regard themselves as superior regardless of any claims about poverty or being humble.

Gods for papists are the gods of paganism, decomposing corpses, bits of toenail, idols and candles, shrouds and lumps of wood, fake nails from The Cross where Jesus hung and died but still they laugh at Him; yes it's a complete freak show and anyone having read The Bible would be sickened to visit their headquarters in Rome.

So whatever passes for "prayer" in these dens is not prayer to God. Satan? Very probably. But certainly not to God who has condemned all popish antics in the strongest terms possible. And that means a very thorough condemnation indeed. So when you imagine that your prayers are "heard" by some invisible entity what method have you used to determine who or what that entity is?

Scarlet was used to mock Jesus and indicates the abominable filth of Revelation. If that's what you want to pray to then yes, I suppose you're right. Satan will get your message.
MATTHEW 27 .KJV . look up
            27
The soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

REVELATION 17 .KJV . look up
            1
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

That is why cardinals wear scarlet.

You are right. Back then I was lost and thought good people went to heaven

But you aren't any better either by saying you tried to live the way God wants you ro live (something nobody but Christ has done, saying otherwise is blasphemy, Jesus Christ is unique, no one else rose again after his death). No, believing the Gospel is the only way:
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

I highlighted the second portion just to show how dumb the Romish papism is. We're not just talking dumb, this is BIG DUMB. BIG DUMB CENTRAL!

So let's take a look at The Gospel. According to this catholic fool no one else rose again after Jesus death. And this is not just THE OPPOSITE of what The Gospels record, it's about as extreme the opposite you could even imagine. I'll keep it brief:

                      Matthew 27:50-53 Sequence of events:
                      1. Jesus dies
                      2. Veil of the temple rent in twain
                      3. Earthquake
                      4. Rending of the rocks
                      5. Many saints resurrected

There had been resurrections before but apart from one instance they were sporadic events and did not occur all that regularly. After the Death of Jesus however, resurrections were occurring almost immediately and were sustained. Verse 53 records how these resurrected people went into the city, engaged with many people but this is The Gospel. Something catholicism denies outright even while never having read it. Even if they say "Oh well, we've read the important bits," they are lying. What could be more important than Matthew's account of The Crucifixion?

Keeping it brief, since I've already refuted the absurdist claim, just a couple of examples of continuing resurrections AFTER Jesus died.

                      Acts 9:36-41
                      Acts 20:9-12
