The Tipsy Crow Tavern Keeps Negroes Out -
07-29-2017, 01:15 AM
Here in the Des Moines metro there are several good establishments where white Trump supporters hang out, share good news about Republicans and enjoy a beverage or two. One, Tipsy Crow Tavern, started seeing people of color come in, apparently to annoy the white regulars.
The manager had had enough. He implemented a dress code that has been successful in keeping Negroes out. Several claim they have be barred from entry. I wonder what ridiculous outfits they were wearing.
All good ideas have someone who thinks they know better. There is a claim the dress code is discriminatory. This in ridiculous. It is there so conservative white people can enjoy themselves.
Dress code at downtown Des Moines bar called racist
A dress code at a new downtown Des Moines bar that barred patrons from wearing clothing such as baggy jeans, plain T-shirts and construction boots is being criticized as a racist attempt to keep out minorities.
Tipsy Crow Tavern, 102 S.W. Third St., posted the dress code Sunday but removed the sign after a firestorm of criticism on social media.
The incident reignited a long-running debate over whether dress codes in Des Moines bars enforce safety and decorum or are thinly veiled attempts to discriminate against minorities.
Critics have openly questioned the reasoning behind Tipsy Crow's dress code, contending that it was targeting apparel often worn by younger African-American men

It's time that everyone realize that baggy jeans are offensive and constitute a microagression to white culture and Trump supporters - and the same could be said about plain T-shirts. Construction boots are another matter - and can be considered an improper cultural appropriation of working class whites and Trump supporters.
I think dress codes can be considered an appropriate response to those who want to create safe spaces from the violence of the lieberals. I for one find kilts and bagpipes personally offensive and they should be banned.

The Tipsy Crow? Is it OK to call nigras "crows" again? Good - free speech has improved under Trump.

Why, oh, why, oh, WHY would anyone want to wear the waistband of their jeans below their butt cheeks? Worn that way, the crotch is level with the knees. Does anyone pee from the knees? No!
It's a stupid style, and with all that expanse of underwear showing, it ought to be deemed indecent exposure.
Also, if you want to keep people out of a tavern, just raise the prices to an absurd level and keep the TV set to C-span. It really isn't that complicated, people.

Wearing jeans below the butt cheeks and showing the butt crack is just wrong. The problem we have today is that if one city has a decency standard that prevents this disgusting style, the next city down the road will allow it.
I'm hoping the Trump Administration steps in and passes legislation prohibiting people from dressing inappropriately. We are a Christian nation and showing butt cracks violates our faith.

I think that old Jim Crow story got blown way out of proportion Pastor Bathfire. It all started with some thespian in New York that dressed up in black face to play a nigra character - something that's common practice in the theater world when you need an actor for a part. Even Obama (who's half-white) did it when he ran for President - prompting even Democrat Joe Biden to remark "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy, I mean, that's a storybook, man."
I don't think anyone would object if we had a niglet dressed up in white face play the Baby Jesus in one of Freehold's Christmas pageants.

Well, baggy jeans are bad, but skinny jeans show too much curvature, the (Possible) solution? Bell-Bottoms anyone?
God Bless you and have a wonderful day!

The word is "waste", and when did fashion become about efficiency?

One leg in one hole, the other leg in the other hole, or is there some new variation I haven't seen?

Yes. Wind across the tundra.
Smart casual dress is a requirement when going outside for Christians because Jesus does not want us to look like libertines. The Bible is clear about dress standards and very often a particular style is associated with antics the management do not cater for. A person wearing some hideously loud shirt for instance often feels in the party mood and for a certain type of party that may well be appropriate somewhere else. Just not at the present venue.
There are other venues where dress codes are observed, some very conservative, some completely insane. A furry convention for instance. A goth funeral. It is essential that Christians do not get mistaken for goths or furries or insane people. These are the important things for Christians:
I THESSALONIANS 5 . KJV . look up
16 Rejoice evermore.
.17 Pray without ceasing.
..19 Quench not the Spirit.
...20 Despise not prophesyings.
....21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
.....22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
There may be nothing wrong with fluorescent spandex in principle, provided of course it was not made from mingled fibres, but dressing up in the stuff with steampunk goggles and 9" heels to hang around the docks under a single working street lamp has other associations. That's what's meant by appearance of evil. Often jeans are not acceptable for that reason, or trainers. Not because there's anything wrong with trainers as such.
If I encountered two hallucinating freaks in horror shirts what would I do? How would they see me? If I invited them home and visitors arrived, visitors who may be sensitive, would I want them to endure the type of conversation depicted in that clip? No. There are things which dissipated heathens think about all the time, things which Christians never think about. Clothing advertises preferences in debauchery, fur-lined handcuffs peeking out from an evening gown, skin-tight hot-pants decorated with currency symbols or for the gentleman a rainbow tiara speaks volumes. And with no moral compass, to think a thing is to do it.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. God explains how He will keep us safe from such influences and the "smart casual" dress code is something I would find reassuring.
