The house where Jesus grew up has been found! Praise God! -
03-15-2015, 09:48 AM
Once more atheists lose big time when they claim that Jesus could not have been a historical figure. A recent report shows in an irrefutable manner that Jesus lived as a man and was God and our Savior.
His childhood home has been found!
Matthew 13:55
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Quote:
Archaeologists working in Nazareth — Jesus' hometown — in modern-day Israel have identified a house dating to the first century that was regarded as the place where Jesus was brought up by Mary and Joseph.
|
Can't you just imagine Jesus by the door handling the manly tools of the carpenter's trade, with cedar planks stored on the floor to be carefully worked into crosses? Mother mary cooking a roast by the window and the Words of Eternal Salvation gently dropping from the rosy lips of the Boy Jesus?
Luke 2:42
And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
Is this real, the atheists may ask. How do we know that this is where Jesus lived and played and prepared to His future reign as our Lord? The archeologists have the answer!
Quote:
"Was this the house where Jesus grew up? It is impossible to say on archaeological grounds," Dark wrote in an article published in the magazine Biblical Archaeology Review. "On the other hand, there is no good archaeological reason why such an identification should be discounted."
|
This is Creation Science at its very best. Atheists cannot prove that Jesus did not live there. Nor can they prove that God doesn't exist! And these things are exactly what they should try to prove without any doubt whatsoever if they wished to dismiss Jesus. They will one day meet this challenge when Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead and asks the atheist sinners to prove that they never mocked Jesus.
In addition, there are eyewitness testimonials about the house. As always, the most hardened atheists will refuse to believe these astonishing data as they have discarded beforehand the possibility of incredible Divine intervention.
Quote:
Dark and his colleagues found that the house was abandoned at some point during the first century. After that, the area was used for quarrying and then later in the first century it was reused as a burial ground. Two tombs (now empty) were constructed beside the abandoned house, with the forecourt of one of the tombs cutting through the house, the researchers said.
Centuries after Jesus' time, the Church of the Nutrition was built around this house and the two adjacent tombs, but the church fell into disuse in the eighth century. It was rebuilt in the 12th century, when Crusaders were in control of the area, only to be burnt down in the 13th century, Dark said.
|
This is more than enough proof for anyone without pre-existing biases. I challenge the atheists: Prove with 101% certainty that Jesus did not live there! I know, you won't dare!
2 Corinthians 4:14
Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
The legacy of the boy Jesus lives on. He must have been a beautiful young lad with dazzling good looks and graceful composure as we can see from this picture!
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Wouldn´t it be a bit ironic if Jesus was making crosses?

The residual glowing light, still visible in those rooms after 2,000 years, is proof enough for me of His Holy Presence.
Thank you, Brother, for sharing this important discovery.

Biblical Archeology is so cool!
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." (Matthew 5:32)

What a beautiful domestic scene it must have been...Mary, with two black eyes, setting a fig pie on the window sill to cool...a shiftless hamite urchin sneaking up to steal the pie, young Jesus leaping up from behind a bush and cracking the negroe upside it's head with the tool of His trade, a claw hammer, again and again and again and again...until the sharp reports of the impacts gradually fade into barely audible dull, mushy thuds...

Mr. Roland,
I think it would have been iconic!
As a Christian, Jesus would have known from the very beginning that His temporary sacrifice was the only way an omnipotent entity could get rid of the ramifications of the unpleasantries that had been taking place in Eden. He would have benefited greatly from His knowledge about the structure of the cross to ease his agony during His torture and temporary death. Many artists have produced great canvases depicting the young youthful Jesus preparing the material for crosses.
Isaiah 44:13
The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
And, as Brother Hammer pointed out, now we can see with our own eyes the place where the adolescent Jesus swung His drill to produce probably the smoothest cedar finish the world has ever seen and later the path to salvation, which is not at all smooth but goes through the rugged terrain of persecution and sodomite villains until it reaches the Gates of Heaven. I'm sure Jesus' contribution to the design of these gates and the interiors of Heaven has been pivotal. He surely has the skill after all those years as a master craftsman!
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

The unsaved often demand proof that Jesus even lived before they will consider His word. Look here, fools, we have His house! Checkmate Jesus!

Mr. White,
There seems to be a chronological problem with your explanation: A cross would only be an icon (for the suffering of Jesus) after Jesus died.

I´m pretty sure the pieces of wood in this picture are to flimsy to build a structurally sound cross to hang a man on.
Experts have made a reconstruction of the event, it clearly shows you need pretty sturdy beams to build a cross:
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Possibly, Roland dear. But you have failed to take into account that God (and therefore Jesus) would obviously have known that the symbol would become iconic in the not-too-distant future.

I agree that those particular pieces of timber would not make an adequate structure for a fully-grown man. But bear in mind that the picture is of Jesus in his youth, probably during his apprenticeship. Just as in pictures painted by the Old Masters, trainees were given the task of coloring in all the hair, or drawing the noses or whatever, so the trainee carpenter of old no doubt began by working on smaller crosses for the crucifixion of children, such as the thieving Hamite urchins mentioned by Brother Witch Hammer.
I hope this helps?

Indeed it is! Only someone whose cognitive dissonance has destroyed his ability to use his brain could deny this overwhelming proof. It always amazes me how people can claim to be scientists yet at the same time specialize in ignoring the overwhelming amount of proof of God's might. A real scientist would have an open mind, investigate the proof and come to the unavoidable conclusion that God exists and that the Holy Bible is His final and absolute word.

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Nonsense. Jesus, being God Himself (John 10:30) knows the the future (Isaiah 46:10), and is in complete control of the future (Isaiah 14:24). Indeed, no thing is done without His approval (Lamentations 3:37). Hanging on the Cross Himself would have come as no more surprise than storming the Earth from Heaven on a flying horse with an army straight from outer space will come to Him as a surprise (Revelation 19:11-14). We humans shall be surprised, but that is only because we cannot know the Mighty Mind of God (Isaiah 55:9).

But not a boy. You think Jews were only devious after they decided as a whole to reject Christ? You think kids in the Middle East are particularly obedient?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

You only need to look at the type of stone in the upper right pictures, and the type of stone in the lower picture, to know that this was the house of Jesus.
I shouldn't be surprised if that winnowing basket and some sawdust were found inside.

Yes, an excellent observation. That brickwork is identical.
If only atheists would examine the evidence as closely as we do then they would reach the same conclusion as us.
I will be embarking on a pilgrimage to Jesus' house in the summer and will take photographs to further prove it is the same house.
