No Habitat for Humanity Chapter In Freehold -
11-16-2011, 02:31 AM
Friends in Freehold,
People on the street ask me good questions. When I think others might wonder the same thing, I like to visit with all of you about it here.
Last week a young housewife said, "I'd love to help build a Habitat for Humanity house here in Freehold. Don't you think the Habitat program is helpful to poor people? I think it would present Freehold as a City that cares if we would start one here?"
Sometimes it is really hard for me to tell someone so nice and well meaning her idea is not a good one for Freehold.
There is a reason people who need a house do not have one. They have not worked hard enough. We do not need people in Freehold who do not work hard. There will be no Habitat for Humanity houses built in Freehold.
I suggested to this nice lady she could drive any family that does not have a place to live to the downtown Des Moines shelter. She thanked me and said she might do this.
I'm so proud of all our good citizens who are trying to make our City even greater. Thank you for your continued support.
Johny Joe Hold, Mayor

If I was going to waste my own time building someone's house for FREE for them, I sure wouldn't be doing it in my own neighborhood. Let some other poor sucker be these guys' neighbor and deal with the noise and filth that you get when you live next to someone who hasn't worked a day in his life and expects everyone else to do everything for him.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Are you sure Freemarket Fred wouldn't want in on this (elsewhere of course) it's always looked like a scam business opportunity to me. Get free labor for putting up these houses and then make them pay a mortgage on it.

Thank you for your strong leadership, Mayor Hold. I am proud to live in a community that does not punish success and reward laziness. If God wanted people to just sit on their lazy asses all day, smoking marihuana cigarettes, while good Christians build houses for them, He wouldn't have given them bootstraps.
Isaiah 65:22
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

What is that one of those hamster things? Those plastic bubble things where they run around like they're outside but really they are inside the plastic tubes? That kind of habitat?
What's wrong with that? The kids like 'em, and Brother BJ's falcons like to eat them when the kids get bored of 'em.

I remember the patience you exhibited when trying to explain to that colored family that we don't do HUD housing programs and never will. Jesus must love your patience, brother.

If she wants to build something, send over to the Plantation. I could use a radio shack at the airstrip. Is she any good at building communications towers?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Instead of false Christian do-gooding, we in Freehold follow God's public-assistance plan:
1 Timothy 5:8: But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Mayor Hold, I'm very disappointed to hear this.
I had been so looking forward to seeing an expanded Freehold Aquarium, but now I read that you will not build the new exhibit after all.
You do realize that SeaWorld will not be able to transfer Hugh the Manatee to Freehold Aquarium if you do not construct the habitat, right? An above-ground swimming pool simply isn't good enough for the animal rights people; PETA has promised to derail the train Hugh would be transported upon and "release his spirit to the universe" if a proper habitat wasn't constructed.

I heard on Mark Levin that within 3 months of the new "owners" moving in, over 95% of these places are crack houses.

Thank you for doing that research, Brother Zechariah.
There is such a good market for crack and other drugs in downtown Des Moines, it seems like any Habitat house should be built there.

Wait, do you think we could get those "habitats for humanity" goofballs to build a gazebo over my new hot tub and a deck around it? Something like THIS? It might save the church some dough...

Mayor Hold's grasp of the issues and leadership is again worthy of praise. Jesus commands us not to build houses for others to dwell in:
Quote:
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
- Isaiah 65:21-23
|
If we all stopped praising the Lord and started giving away our time and effort to build houses for unsaved trash we would be putting honest developers and trades people out of work – to say nothing about the interest we earn on our mortgage investments and the brokers who would be denied their commissions (and Marla Jennings would certainly get upset - http://www.landoverbaptist.org/REALESTATE/index.html)
If you've ever seen any of these so called "Habitat for Humanity" houses you would be offended – they would not even pass for a menstrual shack here in Freehold. I certainly hope our zoning laws are tightened so that one of them doesn't slip by us.
There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus sent the global financial meltdown over the sub-prime mortgages as punishment for the un-Christian do-gooder LIEberals trying to get us to pay for undeserved housing.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Just the thought of that lazy whore even bringing the subject up in public makes me very angry, Mr. Mayor.
Have you considered having Sheriff Don cite her for "Disturbing the Peace?"

Thank you, Judge Tannor, for expressing what so many of us feel.
To me, there is a double standard here. The wealthy class is supposed to demonstate it "cares", to express affection for those who have so little, by giving tips in restuarants if the service is tolerable, putting money in the Salvation Army kettle and doing things like Habitat for Humanity.
But, when and where does the poor class reciprocate? When does it give time and money to the rich?
Poor people take the welfare money the rich give them and use it to occupy Wall Street. Just make a person so mad.
