ACLU Joos Sue Over Bible Distribution -
05-19-2007, 12:15 AM
When will Jesus finally smite and destroy forever the joo cabal that runs the openly anti-God communist front, the ACLU? When they aren't trying to force gay marriage on us, they are attacking Christianity in general. In Louisiana, the secular schools are being sued over handing out free Bibles. What kind of an upside down world do we live in, with these smut defenders trying to destroy Christianity?

School Faces Suit for Distributing Free Bibles
Amite, La. - The Tangipahoa Parish School Board is facing another federal lawsuit, this time from a parent claiming that the district permitted the distribution of Bibles to students on school property during class.
The suit, backed by the American Civil Liberties Union, was filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in New Orleans. In addition to the nine School Board members, the suit names the schools superintendent and a middle school principal as defendants.
It marks the fifth ACLU-sponsored case involving religion against the Tangipahoa school system in 13 years.
"They're habitual offenders when it comes to promoting religion in schools," said Joe Cook, executive director of Louisiana's branch of the ACLU. "In this case, they teamed up with someone else."
The lawsuit centers on an incident described by "Jane Roe," a fifth-grader at Loranger Middle School.
Last week, her teacher sent the class to the front office where two men were passing out Bibles to the students, according to the suit.
The men handed a Bible to each student and said, "God bless you," the suit claimed.
School officials had approved the distribution, which occurs every year in the fifth grade, according to the suit.
The girl's parents, who are Catholic, objected to the practice, claiming it violated their right to control the religious upbringing of their child and subjected her to religious indoctrination, Cook said.

Well now it all becomes clearer. A family of mary worshipers were offended by men handing out REAL CHRISTIAN Bibles and saying "God Bless You", an experience that was new to them, and so they decided to enter into a pact with satan's law firm. Jesus hates that.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I don't think that their Catholicism was the source of their objection. After alll, Catholics use the Bible as their holy book. I think it was the fact that a public school, which is a secular institution, violated the First Amendment when it marched students into the principal's office for the specific purpose of putting religious texts into their hands.

First of all, Catholics hate the Bible — they don't even believe God wrote it. Second, have you even read the Bill of Rights? The First Amendment says that all citizens are entitled to the FREE EXERCISE OF RELIGION, including the distribution of God's Holy Word to all who are willing to receive it. It's not like the teachers put a gun to the kid's head and said "convert or die!" They just gave the students the opportunity to be Saved, which is something every person deserves.

Amen, Sister. One would assume that these Cathylick parents that are causing the problem here would prefer to have their child molested by a priest than have her posses her own copy of the Bible.
And there is something wrong with saying "God bless you,"? So now what are we supposed to say when someone sneezes? This political correctness has gone way too far.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Yes, the Gideons have a right to distribute Bibles, but not on government property. Public schools are the property of local government. And that right does not extend to the indoctrination of other people's children without the parents' consent.
From the article: the "teacher sent the class to the front office where two men, assumed to be representatives from The Gideons International, were passing out Bibles to the students". The students were not given a choice as to whether or not they wanted to go get a Bible. They were told by a school official (who is an employee of local government) to go. For a government employee to instruct a child to receive religious material is unconstitutional.

So? As long as the government (as represented by the school superintendent) gave consent for the Bibles to be distributed, I don't see how you could possibly object to what others do with their property. Are you some kind of a commie?

Friend, no-one was making the children read the Bibles. Sure, they were instructed to take them, but there's nothing (except the certainty of eternal damnation) to stop them throwing them in the trash as soon as they get outside.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

In that case, you should have no objection to children being sent to the principal's office and being given copies of the Qu'ran. Or the Bhagavad Gita. Or Dianetics. Or The Spiral Dance. Or the I Ching. Or Tarot decks.

Friend, let's not be silly. I can't object to any of those things, because I can't imagine any of them happening. This is a Christian country, and that's how Jesus and I like it.
