God is using the good Mayor as a tool to keep snow on the streets just as he uses the utilities companies as a tool to move water to our homes and British Petroleum as a tool to put gas in our SUVs. I don't see any contradiction at all.

"If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;" Job 9:30
By leaving the snow where it is until it melts in the springtime, its like the Godly mayor of Freehold isn't interfering with God's plan to give the whole town a nice cleaning.

Then please explain the string of hotels serving business travelers and visitors drawn to LBC's beautiful campus. Is the church prepared to give up the $200/person LBC tour fee for half the year?
What of parents of LBU students, should they just not come during the Christmas season?

The Church campus is clean, as well as the motels so what is the problem?

I would like to step into this discussion for a moment and clear up the whole moving snow vs. moving water debate.
GOD isn't opposed to running water. He provided it for the children of Israel, did He not?
And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. -Numbers 20:11
The Bible does not indicate that GOD is opposed to moving water. Indeed, He parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel to cross, and JESUS did not reprimand or strike down the woman in John chapter 4 who came to draw water from the well He was sitting on.
Neither does GOD seem to be displeased with moving the earth about.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. -Matthew 17:20
However, nowhere in the Bible that I can find does it say anything about moving snow. In fact, snow is hardly mentioned in the Bible at all. Until GOD gives us permission to do something, I prefer not to do it because I don't want to accidentally anger Him.
Lately it seems Rev. Rodimer and his congregation have been so preoccupied gossiping about the government and law enforcement of Freehold that I wonder how they find time to organize their own church.
If you don't want to come here, nobody is holding a gun (which can be purchased at FREEHOLD FIREARMS) to your head, Reverend.

How's that wintertime business, Bob?
A bit slow, I hear, since the lady customers with their little low-clearance sports cars can't get there to buy ammo for their little pink handguns.
But hey, if you folks don't mind destroying your local economy, and the Pastors don't mind the loss of donations on snowy Sundays, and the Pastors aren't concerned about losing the $200/person LBC tour fees for six months out of the year, then don't mind me! Enjoy your winter wonderland. I look forward to visiting in the spring.
I suggest stocking up on basic supplies, and of course saving up for those jumbo-sized property tax bills next year.
You know, when all the streets have to be re-paved from everyone driving with studded snow tires and chains for an inch of easily-cleared snow.

The good Rev. R. seems to live in a different world than we do here in Freehold. He discusses money most of the time. Whereas, here in Freehold, we discuss the sinfulness of homers and other more important topics.
I can understand that snow removal would be a preoccuption of the truck drivers that he ministers to. Perhaps in the winter, truckers discuss nothing else.
It would be helpful for the Rev to persuade some truckers to park their rigs and take a tour bus to Freehold. I think they would then begin to understand that God and His snow are to be admired and not just pushed to the side.

We trust in the LORD to provide.
28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The biggest snow of the season ended last night, and, I am pleased with how things went in Freehold.
With our new policy of removing only snow in the LBC parking lot and from Pastors' streets, the rest of the City was temporarily crippled from the snow. Yet, a wonderful Christian attitude emerged.
One car at a time, people made their way through the streets, SUV's first and autos later. I walked in an area near my house to hear people's reactions--they were mostly pleased.
Several said they understood my thinking that God meant for the snow to be in the streets and on sidewalks and thought not moving it would pay out in the very long run, eternity. I just love the people of Freehold.

Widow Helen told me that the sanctuary was only 1/4 full at the early service today, and 1/2 full at the late morning service.
She also told me she stopped her 4WD in a couple of residential areas and saw that not a single tire track was made in the snow. They used the snowfall as an excuse to stay home from church!

I was at both services and observed that the turnout was quite good, considering the weather.
As to her observations that there were no tire tracks, that was when she was returning home very late Saturday night.
Perhaps this is not relevant, but I heard through sources I consider to be reliabled that Widow Helen supported by opponent in the election. I'm not sure if my opponent and Widow Helen are still "working together" as it were, but if that is the case it might explain her rather peculiar observations.

From my understanding sales of shovels and snow blowers are up 350% this week end. I love the new plan.

Once again, you have Widow Helen confused with someone else. Or so I assume, as bearing false witness is a sin.
Widow Helen moved to Freehold only about 2 months ago. She had never been there beforehand.

The snowfall event having past, I would like to thank the residents of Freehold for their cooperation and support of the New Snow Removal Policy.
Some other Mayors who need to save money have heard of our policy and wondered it they could pull it off. I try to explain to them that Freehold is unique.
We did not adopt the policy to save money but to help move each of us toward our final destination in a devine enternity.

Let us not forget forget what it says of a virtuous woman: Proverbs 32:21 -- She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet
Now is there some age at which a female is supposed to stop wearing scarlet, or is it just a scarlet A that is bad?
I'm pretty sure we are supposed to let God take care of the problem himself as we read in scripture: Psalms 147:16-18 -- He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Of course you, being a True Christian, whereas I am not yet one, would know for certain.

Instead of destroying Freeholds economy by allowing everyone to be snowed in (and reducing church attendance on snowy Sundays), why not sponsor a competition between local businesses and schools to use the plowed-up clean snow in building wintertime Christian monuments?
Angels we have heard on high
The 144,000 Jews (with signs in Hebrew, or something)
Another angel
Just imagine . . . Beautiful sculptures built of snow, perhaps with lights embedded, and judged monthly all winter. People would flock from several states away to see that!

It is further proof the sometimes Satan gets involved with moving snow. To be on the safe side, we should move as little as possible.

Thanks Mayor Hold
I'm supposed to be at 40,000 feet on my way to Grand Cayman, but the DFAC Gulfstream V is stuck in the hangar and Freehold Municipal Airport is CLOSED, because of YOUR policy on snow removal.
I'm NOT taking the fall for this and will direct Brother Dewitt's wrath your way.

Brother Porter--Please accept my sincerely apologies for this slip up. I told the crew that they were to clear your hanger early this morning. I let them know you were a big tither to LBC and needed to depart for the Caymans.
Just a few minutes before your message arrived, I learned they had cleared Mr. Dewitts hanger instead. I can assure you your hanger will be free of snow by the time you are ready tomorrow.
Honestly, I do think the limited snow removal is affecting our weather in a positive way. The snowfall was much heavier to the east of us. There are more Catlicks in eastern Iowa and my hunch it that why the bad weather is over there.
Have a great trip.

Mayor,
This is precisely the problem. A lack of communication and a clear "failure to communicate".
My hanger with the ultralight was indeed cleared of snow on the apron, as if I would rotate vertically in the prevailing wind and snow on my way to Grand Cayman.
Meanwhile, Brother Dewitt has harrassed me all afternoon asking why 48R at Freehold Municipal has NOT YET been plowed. The G-V was de-iced and backed out of the hanger with reverse-thrusters to no avail. Locked in snow.
Disappointed in Christ as I will never hear the end of this.
