Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only who caught that. I thought the devil might have been playing tricks with my mind and trying to push dirty ideas into my head.
Tir'd, and despairing, O celestial maid,
I'm caught, I cry'd, without thy heav'nly aid.

Devoted to the woods, who long has worn
Thy livery, and long thy quiver born. - Ovid

Heh! Excellent!
Why, if that Mary, Fish were here, he'd be "explaining":
"That's just an ottoman with ball and claw feet."
Yeah, right; a thirteen year old Ottoman Turk? No!
It's one of his h'alter boys; a dago with oil and vinegar up his hiney,
may be--Zesty Italian salad dressing?
Now through Virginia's graphic genius, we see how Jolly Old Vatican RattyCan whoredaines his troops.
Another TRUTH distilled by lovely and sensitive Virginia!
God loves you so much, Va., proven by this new display of talent.
Such clear vision He has granted to you.
Virginia is for Lovers
of GOD
Thank you Jesus for Virginia!

Yes, but that's because Peter's finely-tuned mind picked up on the subtle implications of Virginia's drawing. If you're seeing John Thomases left, right and centre, it clearly shows that your weak feminine mind is falling under demonic influences. Are you capable of grasping that?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I'm not even going to comment on the content of the comics, as it would be of no use. On a constructive note, I suggest you add in some more steps to drawing. Get you hands on an artistic mannequin. They can be posed and sketched to make sure you have good proportions for your characters. If you cannot, I suggest drawing slightly advanced stick figures first for the same reason. Take some time with your lines, possibly using short, quick strokes of the pencil, marker, or whichever medium you're using, rather than one line. Add in some shading and you should have some decent artwork on your hands! Hope I was some help!

I know I should be quiet and not contradict a man, Pastor (once I have my True Christian ™ husband, he will no doubt rebuke me), but surely we have a great religious cartoonist in one of the holiest men on this Earth, Jack Chick.

Thanks! Whatever it takes to spread God's Truth. I was a bit concerned about your first remark, though:

Are you saying you have an issue with the Word of God being distilled in graphic form? I'm pretty sure they don't qualify as graven images, since no one is worshiping them as far as I know... what's the problem, then?

There not for sexual purposes. They're little wooden figures that can be adjusted, so that you can correctly draw the human figure. It's just like if you're going to paint a bowl or fruit, it helps to have a bowl of fruit in front of you. If you want to paint a guy running, you just set the figure's arms and legs to look as if it were running and you can sketch that and add in details specific to the drawing, such as clothing, facial expressions, hair, etc. It's a lot easier than getting someone to stand still as you draw them.

I meant "they're" in my first statement. I don't seem to be able to edit my posts. Can someone shed some light on the subject?

Until you have proven your devotion to Christ, our pastors don't allow you to backtrack and pretend to have written things you never actually wrote. And believe it or not, we're actually smart enough to figure out what you're saying even when you've made a few spelling mistakes.
Anyway, that mannequin business is all well and good (though it sounds a tad idolatrous if you ask me), but you still haven't explained what's wrong with the message behind my art. Care to enlighten us?

I know. I just get annoyed when I make little mistakes like that. Kind of a pet peeve, if you will.

Glad to see I have enlightened you slightly today. Always good to spread knowledge. I just don't fully agree with all of the LBC principles and beliefs. I'm a Catholic and I'd rather keep this conversation on a positive note regarding artwork than a full-blown religious debate.

So your name is a full-blown LIE.
Catholics are not Born Again.
You, sir, are a Mary-worshipping, cracker-eating, ring-kissing, Papist hypocrite and a liar.
How's the Queen of Heaven treating you? Is she answering all your prayers? Her ability to hear your prayers would require her to be eternally conscious, even though the dead are to be resurrected at Judgment Day, and omniscient, which would make her God.

And good luck having her hear any prayers from Hell, where she will be eternally doomed for having a child with Someone who was not her husband, and being proud of it!

By born again, I mean that I have changed in personality. I do not mean it by your standards. I do not worship Mary, nor does any other Catholic. So what if I eat crackers? They are delicious. I think Ritz are the best. I kiss no rings. Well, I don't even kiss anything at this time. Maybe one day when I find me a wife, but that's far from now. Hypocrite? I know that I'm not perfect, but I wouldn't say I was a hypocrite. I actually do my best to follow what I say, because I know how much Jesus dislikes hypocrites and I dislike them as well. No one's answering my prayers at the moment. I don't have much to pray for.
