Godly metal music: Killing For Christ -
09-01-2015, 08:50 PM
I know we usually give the metal music a hard time on here. With all the emo goths and homosexuals involved in that scene, who can really blame us?
Still, there is an exception to every rule. Just as the Bible is the only good book, Killing For Christ is the only good metal band. Killing For Christ produces nothing but Biblically-accurate songs of praise. Listening to them is like having a Pastor scream God's word in your ear. It feels pretty good. And they come from Freehold so you just know they're the real deal.
Generous Christians that they are, they give away all their music on their website: http://www.killingforchrist.com/
Just look at the album art! This isn't some cuddly hippie Jesus. This is the real Jesus: the masculine bringer of righteous justice.
I've already recorded their album onto 100 tapes. There's a dance club near where I live that does a big metal music thing and the kids turn up in large numbers. I'll be down there this weekend handing out tapes and Bibles to the little queers. I'm sure I can connect with the youth. I'm not that old myself. Kids still listen to tapes, right?

My Lord! What wonderful hymns of praise! And their stance on teenage witchcraft is truly blessed! Praise Jesus!

Truly this is the kind of music that inspires me to round up some queers and stone them.

These are wonderful, uplifting "sounds" (as I believe the youth call music these days). May I ask, Brother Elijah, if it is suitable for pre-teens aged 11 and 9?

Most certainly! I tend to find that kids become joyfully excited by uptempo music of this variety.
I have no children of my own, mind you. This is just the conclusion I've reached from observing many, many kids.
Let me know the results!

I was wondering, is there any other genres of music you aren't allowed to listen?

Good question. I would avoid metal, rap, punk, pop, jazz, rave, techno, techno rave, all forms of African music, the works of Beethoven... In fact, it's easier to just stick to a Landover Approved Playlist™ (LAP).

There are plenty of bands not just metal that make music for God. Bands such as Thousand Foot Krutch, and Memphis may fire are bands that make good music while putting their faith into it. Now I'm not saying that the idea of music is either satanic, homophobic, racist, or violent, but after listening to killing for Christ, I feel as though the music that is played through the band is putting out the wrong message. Music isn't meant to be heard so easily. Music is meant for you to choose what you think the lyrics mean. One thing may mean another to another person.

Young lady, 2 Peter 1:20 teaches us that God's Word is not open to interpretation. Why would you want to hide His message within the lyrics of a hymn? Wouldn't you want His Truth to be front and center in the lyrics? Isn't that the point of such a hymn? Praise Jesus!
(P.s., let your daddy know you're using the computer, and remember that 1 Timothy 2:12 applies to the internet as well.)
