Ways of praying without ceasing? -
12-23-2016, 02:27 AM
Hi fellow Brothers and Sisters,
Lately I have been very busy (that wall is not going to be built by itself) and more often than not I feel like it is very hard to keep praying while you are overloaded.
But we are commanded to pray all the time by 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing
So I was wondering how do you do it. I personally recorded all the Bible in mp3, with my voice, so I can listen to it while I drive, and I have one earplug all the time, and it keeps repeating the Bible while I do other stuff.
At work I put on my headphones and people thinks I'm listening to some kind of metal (God forbids!) because I keep on shaking my head when listening.
And I have found that having sex with the Bible as "ambient music" makes the act less disgusting.
Do you have other ways of praying without ceasing? As much as I like the Bible, sometimes I want to pray for other stuff , like pray for Donald Trump to be strong, and I don't find it so easy to do when I'm with other tasks occupying my mind.
Thanks!
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how I do it:
Mat 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But it sounds difficult, I know, especially when you take into account that when you pray you should use as few words as possible and avoid repetition . . .
Mat 6:7
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
. . . while at the same time persistently asking God for the same thing over and over till He gives it to you.
Lk 11:8-9
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. ( Read more.; see also Lk 18:1-8)
But it bears remembering that God does not command us to do anything we cannot do.
Deut 30:10-14
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Nor will the temptation to cease praying even for a moment be above what we can bear.
1 Cor 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
So if one were to pray without ceasing, ^this^ is how one might do it -- though I'm not saying this is what I do, of course.
| Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Thanks for the insight (I'm not claiming to have learnt something, your secret is safe!)
It never ceases to amaze that when liberals want to turn men into faggots, they tell them to "get out of the closet"
That is the time when they really need to get into the closet! I would say to them "get inside that closet and pray, pray hard to keep the demons out of your ass!"
