Yes, we do read the Bible literally. For example, we take it literally when it tells us that Jesus spoke using parables.

Do you know how many times the Bible mentions the word "parable?" 64 times, 45 out of which appear in the New Testament, and guess what - out of these 45 instances, all are describing Jesus speaking in parables.

I mean, what sort of a sick human would actually want to imagine that he or she is literally devouring meat and fluid from a dead human body? Do you people actually enjoy being wannabe cannibals?!? Eww!

I don't see how the Last Supper could be a one time event if Jesus said to Do this in memory of Me? The Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches have the apostolic succession. Jesus is with His Church until the end of time.
..er ..because it was the last one?

I always wondered, if the meat of Jesus has to be eaten by everyone, why did not him multiply it like the fish?
Or why wasn't his body kept like Walt Disney's?
Or like we did with the brain of our beloved leader Lenin?

All questions, I have no answers.

Acts 2:44-45
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Eww! I also wonder about Catholics, do they also imagine which specific body parts they are ingesting? I mean, if the bread has literally turned into Christ's body, then who gets to eat the fingers? The intestines? The eyes? Or the divine version of Rocky Mountain oysters?
