Let us step back for one moment and take a deep breath.
This is the monument:
and this is the monument that is there and that should be there:
Quote:
The city is allowing the monument to be built after a religious freedom group threatened to sue over another statue, which features a soldier praying over a grave marked with a cross.

A soldier, a brave man ready to give his life in the defense of the USA, your freedoms, your way of life, is captured in silhouette, aginst the backdrop of
his personal faith, the nation's personal faith, a gun, and the flag.
How is that "religious"? Answer me that!
Every photograph ever taken in the USA speaks of God's bounty - but does that give the right for some evil axis of lesbians, queers, atheists, demoncrats, and disaffected darkies, who have purposely perverted the words of the Founding Fathers in order to make a mockery of HEROES?
I think not!
One word for those who think that "Freedom of Speech" means "Freedom to hate God and his humble servants" -
Salem.
I didn't hear much of "Ooo! we should be able to worship Satan if we want!" coming from the lips of the accused then - and I don't think that we should be hearing it now.
The dead must be turning in their graves at the Veterans Memorial Park in Belle Plaine.
