Default Proof Catholics don't read the Bible - 01-17-2011, 04:27 AM

In this YouTube video, a Catholic priest is asked where all the other people came from, if Adam and Eve only had Cain and Abel.

His answer is typical of people who've never bothered to read the Bible. He read some children's book about the Bible, probably one they give the priests to lure young boys into the "rectory", but never the Bible itself.

If you did read Genesis 1-2, you'd know that Adam and Eve weren't the first people; they were the first Jews. God made people all over the planet . . . on the Sixth Day, to be precise.

Quote:
The Sixth Day
On the Sixth Day, God created land animals and insects and creepy-crawly things. He made cows, and lions, and dinosaurs, and bees, and worms, and unicorns, and bears. Lots of creatures! He also made humans!

He decided to make men and women in His image (that means that people look like God!), and told them that they could run the world and be in charge of it and the animals in it. He told them they could eat fruits and vegetables, and so could all the animals. That’s right, God made the first people and all the animals vegetarians, so there would be no violence in the world! (Gen. 1:24-31)

Are you a vegetarian? Why? Or why not? Do you think that is what God would want?

Are all the animals vegetarians?

The Seventh Day
On the seventh day, God rested. This is why Sunday is to be a day of rest.

Since there was nobody to till the land, and God hadn’t yet created rain, He made a mist rise from the land to water all his plants. It must have been really humid! (Gen. 2:5-6)

What’s that? Well, I guess watering plants must not be work for God. He did it while resting, after all.

What about Adam and Eve?
Did you think they were the first people? Sorry. That’s not what the Bible says. Adam and Eve were apparently the first Jews! Adam doesn’t arrive on the scene until after the Creation is complete. That’s our next story, about Adam, Eve, and Original Sin!

Bible boring? Nonsense!

You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!
