The deep-fried butter concoction, last year’s big new offering, was wildly popular, so it’s back, along with a long list of deep-fried things, including Snickers bars, Twinkies and cheesecake, each on a stick.

I've had a Snickers on a stick, and cheesecake on a stick, but I've never had a Twink on a stick, or ... oh, hang on. I think I may have. Several times. Does everything in Iowa come on sticks?

Also, I had a wonderful idea with the colored lady's eggs while I was in my hut. When I took all of the egg whites out of the different mixtures, dried them off, and filled them, I arranged them into a cross with the dark red eggs at each end of the cross. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture as I did not have a camera with me, but it was a lovely reminder of Jesus' death for the cleansing of our sins. However, I would not advise doing this for Easter, despite the fact that the message that the design gave is quite appropriate.

Esther, a lovely idea for a later date, no? I hate to speak harshly to you, but as your Christian sister, I feel it is my duty to ask you a question. Why were you cooking when you were being punished? You should have been on your knees praying for forgiveness and reading the Bible.

Thank you for your concern, Sister. I was making myself dinner as I had praying and reading my Bible from the moment that I put my plates from breakfast in the sink until I felt my stomach growling in the evening. And even when I was mixing the yolks with the other ingredients and letting the whites sit in the coloring mixture, I was reading my Bible.

wELL AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS here is my first batch.



It looks different bcause my computer crashed b4 I could write down steps and I called a Church Sister for advice, and she paused then said mix the yolks with 1 cup warm water and a bottle each of the food colorings from the box well THAT stains your teeth unfortunately, I can tell you. do not recommend

why Thank You sister I do not pretend to have mastered pie crusts as somehow they always seem to come out kind of sticky BUT i feel it is in Cake Creation Science that I really excell. I recently made this one, combining several recipes that had good pictures. it is a "tort," i think

I came up with another idea for the whites while I was using up some hard-boiled eggs from earlier this week. Instead of putting the egg whites in the mixture of water, vinegar, and food coloring, simply take the red food coloring and let it drip over the egg whites. Pat off the excess food coloring, and let it dry. The dried red food coloring will look like blood and it should serve as a reminder of the blood that Jesus shed for the sins of the world's True Christians™.

Perhaps this can be used on hard-boiled eggs that are not being used for lady's eggs so the menfolk can also enjoy this reminder of God's Love?
