The "Jesus' Wife" Archeology Find is a Hoax! -
09-20-2012, 12:58 AM
When I first heard there was this peace of parchment found from the third entury that referred to "Jesus's Wife", I was suspicious immediately. I knew where to turn.
I went right over to the Landover Baptist Seminary to see what the head Professor there thought about the story. He cleared it all up.
First of all, the Professor said, the history of Jesus is written in English. Because of this, the piece of parchment is meaningless.
But then he noted something else. He is an expert in the language used on the parchment. He said the language is spelled phonetically and there is often confusion about words that sound alike.
In this case, the word, "wife" sounds so similar to the word, "life", it's probably the latter.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Today, we learn on good authority the entire "Jesus Wife" thing was made up by an atheist femanazi.

The very notion that we could rely on documents written decades after the events of Jesus' life as reliable historical documents is patently absurd.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

He stole this from me!

Also, the document dates too late to have impact. The Gospels have authenticity because of the date of their writing, the connection to an eyewitness, and consistency with the rule of faith. Any fragment too far removed from Jesus' time loses credibility because of the distance from Jesus' life, and we can't know who wrote it or what agenda that person may have had.

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Exactly. True Scripture presents an internally consistent view of the world, without which we'd have nothing. The men of spiritual discernment who assembled the canon of the Bible under the direction of the Holy Spirit threw out any books that contradicted that internally consistent view.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Thank you, Pastor Isaac. Your knowledge and wisdom on the scriptures helps all of through these complicated things that come along.
Another one showed up just now. Some internet brain deprived person wrote an entire post about Jesus being a Jew and how that all played in to the "wife" hoax. We know Jesus was a Christian.
