  • Please pray that God kills my younger brother

I need a prayer that our God kills my younger brother... After moving to France (we should have seen the problem with that "great" idea) he denounced God, our Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit... If my late father would be still alive I know he would have traveled there and stoned him to death on sight... I'm lost for words...
1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

I....wait, what? Just because he denounced God, that mean's he should die?! excuse me, but I don't think that's a death sentence. If anything, just give him time and let him choose his own path, as the Lord gives us all a reason. I am not praying for someone to die, that's horrible and wrong.
    Shame on you.

Brother, my thoughts and prayers are with you. What a horrible ordeal for you to go through, your very own brother who casts his back on The Lord. Let us hope baby Jesus brings swift relief by smiting your brother for his sins, so you no longer have to feel ashamed for him anymore, and in the sure knowledge that God is watching and judging.

Do you have any particular form of execution I should pray for?

(Please don't listen to the heathen haters, they seem to be unaware that God has ordered us to choose faith over family e.g. in 1 Sam 2:12-36 where Eli didn't punish his sons enough for their transgressions and was replaced, and even Christ has told us not to come to Him while not hating our unbelieving fathers and mothers)
      Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

What shame is there in following the Holy Word of Our Loving God? Let's look at what God says about the matter:

Ezekiel 33:8 - When I say unto the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Romans 13:4 - For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Exodus 23:7 - Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

Only the righteous should be spared. Is this Godless brother righteous by rejecting his Creator? No, he is an evildoer, and Brother Jack has the strength to call upon The Lord to bring justice to his fallen brother.

Brother Jack, I have prayed steadfastly that Our Dear Lord will smite your evil brother from off the face of His Earth.

        I Kings 7:23

And he made a moulten Sea, ten cubites from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, & his height was fiue cubits: and a line of thirtie cubites did compasse it round about.

New here? Desiring to be pleasing in the eyes of The Lord and His Followers?

Then do as directed by our esteemed Pastors and head on over to the Introductions subforum and make your first post there, friend. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus. Anything else you want to share with us about how Jesus has blessed you is welcomed too.

Are you a hater of God that believes He is a morally bankrupt monster? Read Why, you ask, is God so angry? to see that it is in fact you that is the monster that mercilessly and infinitely torments God.

Stop this relentless torturing of God and accept Jesus today!

Brother Jack, I can really sympathise with you in this matter. Not only has your brother forsaken God (which in itself is a crime punishable by death) he has also moved to France. I will pray that God, in His infinite wisdom, smites him with all His wrath and fury.

P.S. God does not like the french:

          Isaiah 66:15

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Well God disagrees with you, dear. Why, in fact not only is denouncing God for another god (such as Atheism) worthy of capital punishment, all those in the city who allow such a blasphemer to come and reside should similarly be put to death:

            Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
            Deuteronomy 13:7-10

It's a Spiritual Cancer we're dealing with here, and the only appropriate way to deal with cancer is to remove it from the Body lest it spreads. But you see, the LORD is a patient God, gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy (Psalm 145:8). He offers His creatures the opportunity to freely choose to love Him, or live offensive, disgusting lifestyles for which the only justice is eternal damnation:

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
            And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another;
men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
            And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
            Romans 1:24-32

What is wrong with you, you sicko? I come asking for help in my hour of need and you mock me? How twisted and cruel can one be?

                Brother Jack,

If follower is unable to help, I have some spare matches you can borrow that I used to use to light candles when I practiced papism. Sometimes it's just best to do these things on your own but I know the shame even admitting this person is related to you must bring.

Not only am I praying for a swift smiting, I will maintain your name in the upper 20% of my prayer list. You are not going through this alone!

                  Ideally, yes...

Lev. 24:16: And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.

But with the terrible state of repair that the law is in now, we can only pray that God's Will be done. Although we don't understand why, sometimes God kills blasphemers slowly and by natural causes as in the case of Herod...

Acts 12:23: And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

At other times, he allows them to tarry on this earth only to have them face judgment much later...

Psalm 73:1-19: 1{A Psalm of Asaph.} Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
5They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
6Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
13Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
                  16When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
17Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

Either way, God is in control, and it is to Him that we defer.

                  Regards,

                  Pastor Ed

you should not pray for God to kill your brother. If he did that, your brother would go to hell (i'm hoping he will receive a second chance be actually SEEING God and repenting). Pray for God to guide your brother back to being a christian.

                      See, that would work if:

                      - God appreciated being told that (in your opinion) He'd made a mistake

                      - God didn't already know how this is going to turn out (look up omniscience)

                      - God listened to the prayers of non-True Christians™ (Mr. Rankan has not been confirmed to be a True Christian™ yet [he may well show himself to be one in due time, and God may already be listening to his prayers, but it's not a given])

Scriptural support for the above points available on request, but you'll have to wait til tomorrow (it's late), or use the "Search" function if you're impatient.

Well, he has moved to France, so he's already about three quarters of the way there.

I'm only about 50 miles from France (fortunately there's some sea in the way, which keeps most of the Frogs at bay) so if you need any help staging an intervention, I'd be only too happy to be of assistance.
