I took a shower at the gym today. -
09-22-2017, 05:46 AM
I request to speak to a pastor for guidance. I decided to work out at the Bugle Boy Gym today and afterwards I was sweating everywhere. I decided to take a shower. I did a bad thing, however. I looked around and caught notice of other men around my age doing the same thing. It's made worse that I had to walk along the floor covered in suds that washed off them! How do I cleanse myself? Did I commit a sin by looking?

Friend, men take showers together all the time after we work up a sweat playing rugby at the Freehold Country Club. There is nothing at all gay about this.
Now then, the question is, why did you look? Was it natural curiosity?
Natural curiosity is never a good thing. I would say read your Bible and pray for guidance.

I don't ever shower when I go to the gym. I have an intricate system for cleansing myself with just a washcloth that doesn't involve disrobing. I don't want to mention more than that.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

When I shower at the gym after a rousing morning of power lifting, there is nothing wrong with complimenting each other on the condition of his physique. After all, staying toned is the reason for being there, so when we die and go to heaven, we can proudly show God that we too, care for his turgid gift.
It is true, after a three hour session doing squats and spotting each other, a man can become quite stiff and there are soiled areas not easy to reach. So I see nothing wrong with lending a work out buddy a hand and scrubbing the dirty bits out of the hard to reach areas.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Dear Bubba, you are endangering yourself in situations you still cannot handle. Other TC can come and go and come again to and in the gym without it being gay at all. I am not convinced in your case.
You should seek the help of a Pastor, and go down to your knees with him in a private praying session.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Hmm. This is truly alarming. I went again today and looked around while showering except this time When I looked around I ended up touching the head of my penis for a brief second. This unconscious behavior has me worried that the devil may be trying to tempt me again. Any pastors available to have a pray session in private on our knees?

I often have the same problem.
While I am a manly 6'6" tall, my organ is disproportionately large. Many times while walking from my locker to the shower (those locker rooms are so large, it seems like I wander for hours!) my tip has prodded the buttocks of other men as well as (I think it is called) engaged in accidental 'sword fights'.
Fortunately, Jesus has seen to it that after a while, 'it' points to the Heavens, tight against my rippled abdominal muscles and nudging the base of my rib cage. This makes squeezing through crowded spaces less difficult. God truly does work in mysterious ways.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

First of all, you should be able to control where your eyes wander. Job made a covenant, or a contract, with his eyes never to look at a beautiful young woman. Apparently his eyes upheld their end of the bargain. If Job could avoid looking at women, you should certainly be able to avoid looking at men.
Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
However, I suppose it's possible that you could still inadvertently see something. In that case, you need to remember that God is not only concerned with what you do but with what you think. God sees inside your heart. He knows your thoughts. To Him, even thinking about committing sin is as bad as actually doing it.
Mt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
You need to guard your heart. Fill your mind with all the goodness of His Word. If you find yourself feeling attracted to other men, remember what God's Word says about homosexuals. They deserve to be put to death (Lev 20:13).
Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
However difficult it may seem, you can control your thoughts and feelings -- God promises in His Word. This is how we know homosexuals can change if they want to.
1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
And if you still can't do it, you're not trying hard enough.
Heb 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Myself, I don't work out much, as you can probably tell by my picture. I'd rather do something useful with my time here on earth, like following the every instruction of God's Word in the hope of one day attaining the resurrection of the dead (Phi 3:8-11).
1 Tim 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
| Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

The Bible always has the answer
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-18-9/
In your case plucking both out may be required
Phil
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring k upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

God gave me these two beautiful eyes and I refuse to mutilate a gift from God. I instead believe I will practice self control. Perhaps, James Hutchins, what gym do you frequent? Perhaps we could shower together so that I may learn how to act appropriately according to the Bible and Jesus Christ?

So, you would prefer to disobey God. Its true that God gave you the eyes, but he commanded you to pluck them out when Lust entered your heart through your eyes.

I use the 'Landover Gym and Men's Social Fitness Club'. It the only way I can be assured that the members there are pure and rigidly be with Jesus. I am comfortable knowing that down turned eyes are because of God's Love™ and not some perverted desire to lust after my 'thing'.
Next time you are in town, look me up, I'll bring you a loofah, that way you can be safe while scrubbing and know your fingers will accidentally rub against God's Nutsack©.
I also keep on of these, conveniently hanging on a string made of gut from my neck.

Obviously you have some sexual inclination toward male people. But don't worry, according to the Bible you sin if you penetrate(active) or are penetrated (pasive).

Of course you'd know these code words from 1st hand experience. Tell me, is 'refrigerator' a safety password for some obscure (and painful) gay sex, or is it what you were smuggled in when you illegally entered our country?

My original nickname "refutator" was changed by the admin without my permission.
I never have been in a gym. My workout is done in public parks.

Evidently, your idea of a workout is lurking public parks in a trenchcoat and not much more.
