Hello Landover Baptist Church.

Recently there have been some people who had their heads cut off by Muslims and I was very worried about them because they said some bad things about America but they had been tortured even John McCain cracked when he was tortured and he is a good person.

I knew that John the Baptist had his head cut off and he is also a good person so I started looking through the Bible but it did not talk much about people getting their heads cut off very much so I used the Google machine and found Revelation 20:4 it says:

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

I looked at a video of one of the men getting his head cut off and he did not have a mark on his forehead so I think they are OK do not do a search on ISIL beheadings you will be sad.

I also saw these videos and it is quite unfortunate that they used such a small knife. I wouldn't peel potatoes with that thing. I guess the one saving grace is that the executioner with that very compelling English accent seems very young and strong, with powerful biceps and torso, which I am sure reduced the period of discomfort.

Anyways, while I am sure they are good people, etc., etc., I am sad to say that God's conditional love requires them to accept Jesus as their personal savior or else they will go to Hell.

Therefore, the key to whether they are in Heaven or Hell, to my mind, seems to turn upon whether their last thought was A. "Jesus, I believe in you as my personal savior, who died on the cross for my sins" or B. "This guy's cologne is sure standing up to the heat; it excites me to feel his powerful arms and smell his musk, if only for a few moments."

If A. --> Heaven.
If B. --> Hell.

Actually, anything other than A. --> Hell.

On the other hand, if that decapitator confesses Jesus as his savior anytime soon, we might have the opportunity to meet up with him in Heaven.

In fact, depending on that and the A. or B. inquiry above, I can imagine a scenario where they meet each other again with Jesus in Heaven, perhaps even real soon if we can get some decent targeting intel for our drones.

Try not to worry about it too much, Rusty dear. As Brother Alex explains, if they are True Christians then they will even now be frolicking with Jesus, now and forever more, and one day you will get to meet them. If they are UnSaved, then you wouldn't want to meet them, would you? So, either way it is all good.

Brother Alex makes a great point of people have 2 basic choices in a situation like these 2 men had, ACCEPT JESUS as your personal savior or end up as a satan's love toy in HELL!

Therefore, the key to whether they are in Heaven or Hell, to my mind, seems to turn upon whether their last thought was A. "Jesus, I believe in you as my personal savior, who died on the cross for my sins" or B. "This guy's cologne is sure standing up to the heat; it excites me to feel his powerful arms and smell his musk, if only for a few moments."

There is a 2nd lesson just for you in his words. DO NOT walk up to strange Arab men just to get a good smell of him, Musk is not for everybody.

I always wondered whether God would reattach their heads or whether they'd be carrying their heads around for eternity. If it's the latter, can you imagine how embarrassing it would be if they literally lost their heads in Heaven? Although it could set up some AWESOME practical jokes.

This has been something that has bothered me for years. It seems from the above passage, that only the souls of the beheaded go to Heaven. Their bodies are somewhere else. How will I know what a soul looks like when I get there? I will recognise people, I will recognise God and Jesus, but how will I know what the Holy Ghost looks like? How will I know what a soul looks like? Is it just a nebulous mass which floats around Heaven?

You are having eschatological angst. It is understandable but, fortunately, unnecessary. Once in Heaven, all these unnecessary questions disappear! Yet we know A LOT about eternal life!

Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Jesus can be recognized. He's on a throne. God can be recognized. He's busy wiping tears of newcomers. Things will probably cool down quite soon after Rapture and they can go on with their daily business us usual.

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.


I must admit that I also have my visions of Heaven. They are much like this.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.


Once in Heaven, worries about the whereabouts of one's head are irrelevant. You'll understand God's Master Plan. All the suffering of the innocent on Earth will make sense. It is for the common good. You can laugh at death, hunger and those relatives of yours who are in Hell. They deserve it.

Oh what an inspiring picture, Brother! I especially like how they're cleaning the young man with a giant leaf so much that he sparkles! I also like the flying! Won't it be so nice to not be burdened with gravity! To think, those "last ten pounds" won't make any difference in a reality where aerodynamics are completely different! Well, to be honest, I'm only surmising about the new aerodynamics. We will get to explore new thermodynamics certainly (Revelation 7:16; Revelation 21:23), so I imagine there would be all kinds of new laws of physics.

Anyway, like Mr. Farmer, I like to be prepared. I like to know what to expect so I don't get surprised. I don't much care for surprises, nasty, uncomfortable things those are. I have wondered myself if perhaps all the decapitated souls will be in one group praising Jesus and reigning with Him, and all the souls who lost their homes and families will be in another group (Matthew 19:29). Perhaps New Jerusalem will have different Burroughs, or Districts for this reason, so the headless souls don't feel awkward in the crowd, you know?

Hello Mary Etheldreda and Elmer G. White.

I can not wait to get to Heaven so that I can sparkle sometimes when I sweat I glisten but it never catches the light right enough to sparkle.

I tried rubbing my body down with some leaves from a bush in my backyard but it turned out to be a Brazilian pepper tree and now I am covered in Calamine lotion and I have to take Benadryl for a few days I did not know it was related to poison ivy it does not even smell like pepper.

After reading the replies I also was a bit worried... What if I lose a limb for arterial insufficiency or diabetes or just in an accident? Will I be in Heaven hopping on one foot while my Brothers and Sisters in faith™ frolic around disregarding gravity... The answer was, of course , in the Bible.

There's a comforting pattern here. MADE WHOLE! On a related note, also one of my other worries regarding my performance in heaven was answered in a satisfactory manner. And, as further proof, another vision of Heaven. No headless heathen wondering around aimlessly:

First of all, the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was impregnated by The Holy Ghost as she lay sleeping, is in Heaven along with likely millions of Catholic Nuns many of whom certainly left this mortal coil as virgins!

Next up is this nonsense you promulgate regarding our physical bodies which, I assure you, we leave behind to return to dust and ash while our SOULS ascend in to Heaven. (Well, probably not any of your souls but God does work in mysterious ways. )

Heaven is not a variation on theme parks for the far less traveled nor is it an adjoining Motel 8 that doesn't smell of chewing tobacco and trucker body fluids. Earth is a place of ephemeral physicality whilst Heaven is more like a dimension where love and understanding are the only building blocks of reality.

To sit at the right hand side of Jesus is not a reference to names at a wedding table setting but a state of perfect being that is God's reward for a life properly lived. In this state everyone who enters Heaven is effectively forever next to Jesus and there is no need to worry about missing that spittoon and His rubes soiling His robes.

None of this will matter to any of you unless you repent your sins and come to accept the Blessed Sacraments of His Church. I hope this helps.
