We believe in the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel which Allah gave to Jesus (p-b-u-h), who passed it on to his disciples. The Gospel, however, has been corrupted over time and the original teachings of Jesus (p-b-u-h) ultimately lost. We know the original Gospel has been lost because where is it now? The burden of proof is on Christians to prove that they have the original Gospel and that it has not been lost. Also we believe the parts of the Bible that prophesy about the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). They haven't been corrupted either.

Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. (The first half prophecies about Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the second half about the Qur'an.)
Isaiah 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: (Jesus (p-b-u-h) could not possibly have set judgment in the earth because he only had a 3 year ministry. But Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) preached for 23 years, plenty of time to achieve this. Another Bible contradiction, btw.)
Habakkuk 3:3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. (Paran is near Mecca.)

It is unfair how you Christians have hijacked these prophecies and erroneously applied them to Jesus (p-b-u-h). Even Jews would agree these are not about Jesus (p-b-u-h). You have twisted the Bible to suit your own ends. What good is a book that is so open to different interpretations? Even Jesus (p-b-u-h) himself prophesied about the Paraclete -- Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) -- in John 14:16, John 15:26-27, John 16:5-8 and John 16:12-14.

That is why we Muslims believe in only the parts of the Bible that agree with the Noble Quran. The parts that contradict the Noble Quran are not the Truth.

I think you're confusing us with fuzzy bunny Christians, we don't twist scripture around here.

Oh and there's many a fuzzy bunny muslim out there as well. I mean, it's okay to sin as long as you speak English while doing it, right? Or at least that's the feeling I've got from the muslims I've met.

Of course you do. You twist the parts that speak about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the Qur'an and apply them to Jesus (p-b-u-h), otherwise your Bible would contradict itself with unfulfilled prophecies. Even religious Jews would agree these passages are not about Jesus.

They're not real Muslims.
We do not twist the Word of the Lord.

Allah, the moon god, spoke to Mohamhead in a cave in the desert. Big Mo, who was illterate by the way, then came out and got a couple of mates to write down what he said. All these notes were later destroyed, which means there is no back-up for the koonran.

The Holy Bible is well documented and backed up by documents from before and during the life of Christ. This means that all the source documents for the Holy Bible are still available for reference. Pity you can't claim the same for the koonran.

Using a bastardisation of the Holy Bible, the Original Word of God, he then founded his own cult. Mo's version of religion was used to unite the pagan arab tribes. The remnant of this can be seen when the mooslimbs throw stones at rocks durin haj etc. The rocks represent the various gods of the arabs which have been put aside for allan the moon god.

Now instead of pretending to be a convert why don't you trundle off and eat a nice portion of pork chops.

Isaiah 66:15

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

I just discovered this old post. It's really good. Is this guy still around? You should listen to his words.

Quote:
Originally Posted by TruePath View Post

You know, Christians boast about how detailed their Bible is. Yet, the Bible that they boast about is too confused, too confusing, too erroneous, and too off in its accounts, so much that one can not get an honest and accurate account about any event! So after all, this big book that is called the Bible is no more than a pile of man-made corruption and hoaxes.
With this said, let us now examine the following confusing and erroneous contradictions that they call "accounts":

Error #1:
How many disciples witnessed Jesus' resurrection, 11 or 12?
According to the Gospels, Jesus had 12 disciples before he was crucified. One of them, Judas, had betrayed Jesus and turned him over to the Romans to get crucified for a sum of money. Judas, on the day of the crucifixion and before Jesus got crucified, realized his unforgivable mistake and committed suicide by hanging himself (Matthew 27):
Matthew 27
1 Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death.
2 They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.
3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.
4 "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
..........
11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.
..........

So clearly, as seen in the verses, Jesus was still alive when Judas died, and now we are left with only 11 disciples, not 12. This is further proven in Luke 24 when Jesus appeared to the 11.

Jesus appeared to 11 in Luke 24, Mark 16 and Matthew 28:
(Pay attention to the highlighted verses, below)
Luke 24
The Resurrection
1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.
5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?
6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
7 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' "
8 Then they remembered his words.
9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.

10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles.
11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

On the Road to Emmaus
13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.
15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;
16 but they were kept from recognizing him.
17 He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces downcast.
18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
19 "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him;
21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place.
22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning
23 but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.
24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."
25 He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?"
27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther.
29 But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.
30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.
31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
32 They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem.
There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together
34 and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon."
35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples
36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.
38 He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?
39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?"
42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.
44 He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
46 He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and
rise from the dead on the third day,
47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 You are witnesses of these things.
49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

The Ascension
50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51 While he was blessing them,
he left them and was taken up into heaven.
52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

There are few points to mention here:
1- Luke 24:9 and 33 say that there were 11 disciples.
2- Luke 24:36-43 talk about Jesus' appearance to the 11 disciples.
3- In Luke 24:45-49, Jesus confirms that he was resurrected, and he also confirms that he appeared to the 11 for the first time after the crucifixion.
4- In Luke 24:50-51, Jesus ascended to Heaven after finishing meeting the 11 disciples.

There is no question that the writer of Luke 24 thought and believed that Jesus Christ appeared to eleven (11) disciples, and not twelve (12).

5- Luke 24:27 says that Moses spoke about Jesus. Where are those verses in Moses' books? This verse is an obvious forgery!
Please visit: Deuteronomy 18:18 is a deliberate mistranslation [1] [2].

We also read in the Mark 16:
Mark 16
The Resurrection
1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body.
2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb
3 and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"
4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.
5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6 "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' "
8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.))
9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.
10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping.
11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.
12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.
13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

There are few points to mention here:
1- Notice first of all the NIV Bible's commentary about Mark 16:9-20 not being reliable.
2- Like the Luke 24 verses above, Mark 16:14 and 19 clearly and indisputably declare that Jesus only appeared to 11 disciples and then ascended to Heaven immediately after that.
3- In Mark 16:7-14 Jesus appeared to Peter and then appeared to all 11 (Peter included) while they were eating. Yet, 1 Corinthians 15:5clear says that Jesus appeared to Peter as the first of the disciples, which is true, and then to the twelve, which is false.

We also read in the Matthew 28:
Matthew 28
The Resurrection
1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
9 Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

The Guards' Report
11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,
13 telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.'
14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."
15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

There are few points to mention here:
1- Notice in Matthew 28:16 the disciples are 11.
2- Notice also in Matthew 28:7,10 the women went to tell all of the disciples.
3- Matthew 28:11-15 admit that much dispute over Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection existed during those days. The verses say that the Jews fabricated lies with the Roman soldiers. But knowing the Bible, this account is highly doubtful.
The point here is that Matthew 28:11-15 prove that much gossips, lies and disputes were circulating about Jesus' story, which proves that nothing that is written in the Bible can be trusted.

Paul said 12 not 11:
(Mark 16:7-14 VS 1 Corinthians 15:5)
Yet, Paul, the false prophet who was delusional and wasn't even sure which spirit was inspiring him (literally!), said that Jesus, after the crucifixion, appeared to the 12 disciples:
1 Corinthians 15
1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.
6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,
8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

There are two errors by the false prophet, Paul:
1- Jesus was never buried under the earth in the same way our dead get buried. He was placed temporarily in a tomb and then his body disappeared (Matthew 27:59-66, Matthew 28). So he was never buried! See also Main-Section #2 below for more proofs and details.
2- In Mark 16:7-14 Jesus appeared to Peter and then appeared to all 11 (Peter included) while they were eating. Yet, 1 Corinthians 15:5clear says that Jesus appeared to Peter as the first of the disciples, which is true, and then to the twelve, which is false.
3- For those who say that Paul was the twelfth disciple, Verse 1 Corinthians 15:8 clearly refutes this lie.
It is also worth mentioning that the New Testament records the disciples fighting with each others [1] [2]. Now if GOD Almighty was supposedly inspired the New Testament, then was He, for instance, fighting with Himself?

Matthias replaced Judas?
Before we look at the book of Acts, it is important to know that the author of the book is unknown:
"Although the author does not name himself, evidence outside the Scriptures and inferences from the book itself lead to the conclusion that the author was Luke. (From the NIV Bible Commentary [1], page 1643)"
Please visit: Just who were the authors of the Bible? for a lot more quotes.
With this said, let us now look at Acts 1:

Acts 1
Jesus Taken Up Into Heaven
1 In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach
2 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.
3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.
5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
6 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"
7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

Matthias Chosen to Replace Judas
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk from the city.
13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty)
16 and said, "Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus—
17 he was one of our number and shared in this ministry."
18 (With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out.
19 Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
20 "For," said Peter, "it is written in the book of Psalms, " 'May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,' and, " 'May another take his place of leadership.'
21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection."
23 So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.
24 Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen
25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs."
26 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

There are few points to mention here:
1- Acts 1:22 is a direct and clashing contradiction with Luke 24:9,36-53, Mark 16:14-19 and Matthew 28:16, because the latter verses state clearly that Jesus Christ appeared to the 11 disciples and then he ascended to Heaven after that! Matthias was never mentioned in Luke 24, Mark 16, Matthew 28 or in any other book other than Acts 1 and thus, he never witnessed the resurrection of Christ!
Again, in no book other than Acts 1 is Matthias mentioned, which looks quite suspicious! Such a person, who supposedly replaced Judas, should've been at least mentioned once on the resurrection accounts in any or all of the gospels. Certainly, Judas was mentioned many times throughout the gospels. Yet, not only we have no mention of Matthias, but the resurrection accounts, which I mentioned all of them above, say that Jesus appeared to the 11 and not 12.
Matthias chosen by a coin flip, and the legalization of gambling!
2- Acts 1:26, above, states that the disciples played a "casting lots" game which is similar to our "flip the coin" modern-day game to choose a new disciple. Is this how you choose a new Apostle who will be *supposedly* speaking the Words of GOD Almighty?
Christians lie and say that the disciples' writings were the inspired Words of GOD Almighty. Acts 1:26 clearly prove that this is indeed a lie. Many other verses prove this as well.
Certainly, with the exception to Paul who was neither a disciple (never met Jesus in person) nor a true Prophet and who admittedly said that he wasn't even sure whether the Holy Spirit was inspiring him or not [2] [3], none of the disciples ever claimed that their words and writings were inspired by GOD Almighty (not that their gospels are their original writings) [1] [2]. In fact, we even read in their books about:

- Fighting with each others.

- Inviting each others to diner and deciding to "winter there".

- Writing their letters (books) for the sake of local leaders
[2].

- And again, the books and gospels are not even the original writings of any disciple.

-
And now we see them flipping coins to choose disciples!
Question #1: So before the flip of the coin, were Matthias' words inspired by GOD Almighty? An hour before the coin chose him, were his words inspired?
Question #2: Isn't the flip of the coin or a casting of lots a form of gambling? And wouldn't the verse now be legalizing gambling? Don't the casinos also cast lots (dice) and flip coins through roulettes and jackpot machines?

3- Throughout the entire Bible, Matthias was only mentioned in the book of Acts, Chapter 1 (i.e., Acts 1). Not even in Paul's books was Matthias mentioned. This is all proven here.
What does this mean? It means that there is discrepancy in this piece of history here, because Matthias should've had a whole lot more relevance and attention than this throughout the gospels and books.

So who lied, Luke or Paul?
It doesn't matter to prove who lied, because all of their books and the rest of the Bible's books and gospels are not original. No one knows
  1. Who wrote them.
  2. How many people wrote them.
  3. Where they were written.
  4. When they were written.
This is extremely important as the dilemma above is not but a small example of the major errors and problems in the Bible's history and integrity!

Error #2:
What did the inscription on Jesus' cross say?
John 19:19
19 Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It reads: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Matthew 27:37
37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Luke 23:38
38 There was a written notice above him, which reads: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Mark 15:26
26 The written notice of the charge against him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.
You know, there was only one cross, and not ten, for Jesus! Yet, the gospels can't even get the inscription quoted correctly. Can you honestly tell me what the exact quote was? Because all four are way off from each others, especially the one in John 19:19.
Why is this relevant? Because it serves to prove that the gospels were written by men who were not inspired by GOD Almighty. The historical errors and contradictions prove that the work is not that of GOD Almighty.

Error #3:
What did the centurion say about Jesus?
Luke 23:47
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man."
Mark 15:39
39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"

Matthew 27:54
54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"
Righteous man and Son of God do not mean the same thing! Again, can you honestly tell me what did the centurion exactly say?
Why is this relevant? Because the Luke 23:47 quote suggests that the centurion, who remained a pagan Roman, just merely felt sorry for Jesus and didn't embrace his way or become his follower, while the quote in the other two verses, Mark 15:39 and Matthew 27:54, suggests that he embraced Christianity. And by the way, the gospel of John is completely silent about the event.
So did the centurion become a follower of Jesus Christ or did he remain a pagan Roman? The gospels miserably fail to answer this, and are themselves confused about it.

Error #4:
Was there an earthquake when Jesus died or not, and did many of the dead resurrect or not?
Matthew 27:51-53
51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.
52 The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
53 They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

You would expect that such monumental event be recorded not only all over the New Testament, but also in 100s of books throughout history, since it would've been witnessed by thousands and told by thousands. Yet, not only the gospels of Mark, Luke and John are virtually silent about (no earthquakes and no resurrections of dead bodies), but so are the history books! No testimonies and no recordings of anything of this sort. Obviously, the writer of the gospel of Matthew got too carried away with his hoax.
Why is this relevant? Because this serves to prove that the gospels were indeed:
  1. Written by unknown people.
  2. Written by an unknown number of people.
  3. Written in unknown places.
  4. Written in unknown dates.
  5. Full of "fables", "fairy tales", and "fictions" as the Bible's own theologians admit.
What does this mean? It means that the person or persons who wrote the false gospel of Matthew, wrote it during a time and place when the other gospels weren't around at least to the local community of where the false gospel was written. The place was also most likely very far away from Palestine, where the people would not have had the ability to double check this monumental claim. That is why such a lie was easily fabricated and recorded.
It is also worth mentioning that the people in rural and underdeveloped areas usually tend to gossip and exaggerate too much. And this is true in any country's and society's rural areas. Gossipers tend to blow things way out of proportion. They exaggerate too much and they lie too much, even if their intention is not to lie. That's just their human nature, because:
1- They are not educated.
2- They don't have a wide perspective of life. They're very isolated in their limited life (farming, milking, etc...).
3- They have too much time on their hands, and they interact with each others too much, which results in a culture of gossipers and "white liars".
But here is the big big problem!! We're not talking about the gossipers! We're talking about the Holy and Divine Words of GOD Almighty! So if the mentioned monumental events never took place, then they should not have gossiped their way through the Gospels, because this will then turn the Gospels themselves into Gossips, which in reality they are without a doubt, and this will further prove that the Bible contains many many man-made lies, which it does. That is why the gospels of Mark, Luke and John and the history books are virtually silent about these monumental events. Because it's a lie!

From http://www.answering-christianity.co...shamoun_65.htm: The Adam Clarke Commentary: <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
It is difficult to account for the transaction mentioned Matthew 27:52,53. Some have thought that these two verses have been introduced into the text of Matthew from the gospel of the Nazarenes; others think that the simple meaning is this:-by the earthquake several bodies that had been buried were thrown up and exposed to view, and continued above ground till after Christ's resurrection, and were seen by many persons in the city. Why the graves should be opened on Friday, and the bodies not be raised to life till the following Sunday, is difficult to be conceived. The place is extremely obscure.

Error #5:
While on the cross, did Jesus accept the drink or refuse it? And what was the drink??
Like I mentioned above, Christians boast about how detailed their Bible is. Yet, the Bible that they boast about is too confused, too confusing, too erroneous, and too off in its accounts, so much that one can not get an honest and accurate account about any event! So after all, this big book that is called the Bible is no more than a pile of man-made corruption and hoaxes.
With this said, let us now examine the following confusing and erroneous hoax about Jesus, the drink, and what drink did he have:
Mark 15:23
23 And they gave him to drink
wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
Matthew 27:48-50
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Luke 23:36-38
36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

John 19:29-30
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the
vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
There are lots of errors and contradictions in these verses:
1- We do not know whether the drink was wine or vinegar. If Jesus was offered apple juice, then don't tell me it was orange juice! Vinegar is not wine and a wine is not vinegar! They are not the same.
2- Mark 15:23 directly clashes with John 19:29-30 about whether or not Jesus accepted the drink (whatever that drink was). Did Jesus accept it or did he reject it? We do not know. The accounts are too conflicting.
3- Furthermore, Matthew 27:48-50 and Luke 23:36-38 are not even sure about whether or not Jesus took in the drink or not!
Why is this relevant? Because the Christians and their corrupt Bible do not have any solid and clear-cut information about virtually anything! All they have are conflicting accounts and man-made corruptions and speculations.
Do you know the answer? Could you honestly tell me what the drink precisely was, and whether or not Jesus Christ accepted that drink?

(d)- Contradictions in other accounts:
From http://www.answering-christianity.co...rs_gospels.htm:

1- Contradictions on Historical Accounts:
Consider the following few examples that consist of historical contradictions in the Bible:
The Revised Standard Version makes it even clearer: "How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"
2 Samuel 10:18 - David slew 700 and 40,000 horsemen and Shobach the commander.

2 Chronicle 22:2
Who was Josiah's successor?

2 Chronicle 36:1
Shallum -
Jeremiah 22:11

2- Commentaries of Bibles' theologians admitting to the countless corruptions.
"Many scholars of the past two centuries have denied that John wrote this book, partly because of their belief that the author fabricated many details such as the miracles and the discourses of Jesus. (The Holman Illustrated Study Bible, ISBN: 978-1-58640-275-4, Gospel of John, Page1540)"
"Serious doubts exists as to whether these verses belong to the Gospel of Mark. They are absent from important early manuscripts and display certain peculiarities of vocabulary, style and theological content that are unlike the rest of Mark. His Gospel probably ended at 16:8, or its original ending has been lost. (From the NIV Bible Foot Notes, page 1528)"
"Although the author does not name himself, evidence outside the Scriptures and inferences from the book itself lead to the conclusion that the author was Luke. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1643)"
"The writer of this letter does not identify himself, but he was obviously well known to the original recipients. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1856)"
"The letter is difficult to date with precision....(From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1905)"
"It seems safe to conclude that the book, at least in its early form, dates from the beginning of the monarchy. Some think that Samuel may have had a hand in shaping or compiling the materials of the book, but in fact we are unsure who the final author or editor was. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 286)"
"Although, according to tradition, Samuel wrote the book, authorship is actually uncertain. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 322)"
"The date of the composition is also unknown, but it was undoubtedly during the monarchy. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 322)"
"The author is unknown. Jewish tradition points to Samuel, but it is unlikely that he is the author because the mention of David (4:17,22) implies a later date. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 360)"
"Who the author was cannot be known with certainty since the book itself gives no indication of his identity. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 368)"
"There is little conclusive evidence as to the identity of the author of 1,2 Kings. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 459)"
"Whoever the author was, it is clear that he was familiar with the book of Deuteronomy. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 459)"
"According to ancient Jewish tradition, Ezra wrote Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah (see Introduction to Ezra: Literary Form and Authorship), but this cannot be established with certainty. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 569)"
"Although we do not know who wrote the book of Esther, from internal evidence it is possible to make some inferences about the author and the date of composition. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 707)"
"The unknown author probably had access to oral and/or written sources....(From the NIV Bible commentary, page 722)"
"Regarding authorship, opinions are even more divided....(From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 773)"
etc...
How do you respond to this?

3- The Catholic Encyclopedia, New Advent, stating that all of the books and gospels had been corrupted.
From http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14530a.htm:

"IV. TRANSMISSION OF THE TEXT
No book of ancient times has come down to us exactly as it left the hands of its author-- all have been in some way altered. The material conditions under which a book was spread before the invention of printing (1440), the little care of the copyists, correctors, and glossators for the text, so different from the desire of accuracy exhibited to-day, explain sufficiently the divergences we find between various manuscripts of the same work. To these causes may be added, in regard to the Scriptures, exegetical difficulties and dogmatical controversies. To exempt the sacred writings from ordinary conditions a very special providence would have been necessary, and it has not been the will of God to exercise this providence."

4- The X-Rated Pornography in the Bible further proves the corruption:
From www.answering-christianity.com/incestuous_fantasies.htm:
Song of Songs 8:1-3 "If only you were to me as a brother, who was nursed at my mother's breasts! Then, if I found you outside, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me. I would lead you and bring you to my mother's house-- she who has taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink [i.e., her Rodimer's semen!], the nectar of my pomegranates. His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me."

Who let this rag head on here? How do we know he hasn't got a bomb stuck inside his bung hole?

PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Default Re: There ARE contradictions in the Bible! - 03-27-2013, 03:20 AM

I want to add to my brother's comments. There is another contradiction within two verses of each other.

1 Corinthians 1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
1 Corinthians 1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

A definite statement followed by a correction and an indefinite statement. If this is inspired by the holy spirit, why can't Paul remember? Does the holy spirit have a bad memory and keep changing his mind too? Also how much of Paul's writings are inspired by the holy spirit? How do you know which parts are? Paul admits in 1 Corinthians some of his teachings on divorce were not from God.

1 Corinthians 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord

Further to my brother's comments on Matthias, how many apostles were there? The Bible says there were only twelve.

Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Jesus promises Judas will also get a throne! )

But if Matthias replaced Judas, why is Paul also an apostle?

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles,
1 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God

That would make 13 apostles. I bet you're feeling pretty silly after boldly saying there are no contradictions in the Bible. Here they are.

The prequel to the Arabian Nights claims semen comes from the backbone.

86:5-7 So let man observe from what he was created. He was created from a fluid, ejected, emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

This is inconsistent with the Bible, which teaches that a man’s seed comes from his bowels.

2 Sam 7:12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

Gen 15:4 And, behold, the word of the LORD [came] unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

2 Sam 16:11 And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now [may this] Benjamite [do it]? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

2 Chron 32:21c And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

Isa 48:19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

The Koran, like science, can be disproved with the Bible. How could we do that if the Bible was full of contradictions? Checkmate, heathen!

Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

We don't have a problem - you do. The only thing that you've demonstrated via your incredibly lengthy posts is that you are not the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm trying to think of a nice way to say it, but basically, um, you are too dumb to understand the perfectness of the Bible. That's why you are over-analyzing it, and that's why you THINK that you see some "inconsistencies."

Cry more, raghead!

You and your ilk will soon bend the knee when Jesus comes again.
Revelation 1: 12-16
12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Oh you're going to notice Him and beg Him to spare you and it will be too late. We'll laugh with Jesus in Heaven as you begin to scream for all eternity.

Renounce your silly far fetched moon god and follow the one, unambiguous, perfect word of TRUTH!

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

I'm still wondering about Moohamid splitting the moon in two. I look up, I see one moon, not two halves.

Oh, lets take a look at some of the other fun stuff.

2:29 He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.

2:31 And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful.
2:32 They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise.
2:33 He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth ? And I know that which ye disclose and which ye hide.
2:34 And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever.

2:65 And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated!
I guess apes weren't around when animals were first created. Instead they're "Sabbath breaking Jews".

3:7 He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed.
Oh, that's good, some of the Koran are true, and some isn't, but it's up to us to guess. Yeah, that's fair.

3:54 And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers.
Doesn't even pretend not to be the father of lies here.

4:80 Whoso obeyeth the messenger hath obeyed Allah, and whoso turneth away: We have not sent thee as a warder over them.
Said every cult leader that has ever existed.

4:119 And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle' ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest.
All those poor ranchers who ear tag their cattle

4:157 And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.
Oh, the witnesses just thought Jesus was crucified. I guess it was done with mirrors? Did Jesus have a look-alike?

5:60 Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah ? (Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine, and who serveth idols. Such are in worse plight and further astray from the plain road.

6:38 There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.
Well I guess that explains the goat sex.

7:148 And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way ? They chose it, and became wrong-doers.
The Golden calf, lowed? Seriously?

10:93 And We verily did allot unto the Children of Israel a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things; and they differed not until the knowledge came unto them. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
Yet you mooslimbs are trying to wipe Israel off the planet. Isn't that going against allahs will?

14:22 And Satan saith, when the matter hath been decided: Lo! Allah promised you a promise of truth; and I promised you, then failed you. And I had no power over you save that I called unto you and ye obeyed me. So blame not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can ye help me, Lo! I disbelieved in that which ye before ascribed to me. Lo! for wrong-doers is a painful doom.
So basically, if you pray, and it doesn't come true, you're praying to Satan. Or did Satan just step out of his "allah" character there for a moment? I mean, if Satan is the father of lies, and Satan tells you to follow Allah.......

24:6 As for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing) by Allah that he is of those who speak the truth;
Well isn't that nice, if you don't have enough witnesses, you can just lie 4 times and it counts. Sucks to be the wife of a bitter husband.

54:1 The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain.
54:2 And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion.
Still my favorite.

Wow! You can read. What’s the problem? Adam was the first Muslim. He was created to feel emotion, unlike angels who are emotionless, and be Allah’s viceregent, so he is a little higher than angels. Satan, who is a jinn, was jealous.

Wow! Again I’m floored by your literacy.

“The punishment for the breach of the Sabbath was death (Exodus 31:14). There must have been a Jewish tradition about a whole Jewish community in a seaside town, which persisted in breaking the Sabbath and were turned into apes.” (Yusuf Ali’s commentary)

Oh, that's good, some of the Koran are true, and some isn't, but it's up to us to guess. Yeah, that's fair.
The Qur’an has rich depth of meaning. It doesn’t mean some verses are literal and some are allegorical but that each verse has both literal and allegorical meanings. What about the figurative parts of the Bible?

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches
John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

Jeremiah 4:10 Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people.
Jeremiah 20:7 O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived.

Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest.
All those poor ranchers who ear tag their cattle
It is a vain superstitious practice of those who follow false gods.

Quote:
4:157 And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.
Oh, the witnesses just thought Jesus was crucified. I guess it was done with mirrors? Did Jesus have a look-alike?
Yes. Possibly Judas. We only have the word of your corrupted Bible that Jesus died. Why should we believe that? The Gospel of Basilides also says Jesus (p-b-u-h) never died but was taken up into heaven, but you reject this gospel because it doesn’t agree with what your other gospels say.

Quote:
5:60 Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah? (Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine, and who serveth idols. Such are in worse plight and further astray from the plain road.

Quote:
So as we see, God turned these criminals into monkeys and swine because they were nothing more than animals in the first place. They had not dignity or honor and just lived based on satisfying their instincts just like animals do. So God might as well have transformed them into animals. They lived for only three days and then died. Its not like they lived forever. The ones who did not participate in this sin were saved.

Quote:
6:38 There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.
Well I guess that explains the goat sex.

7:148 And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way ? They chose it, and became wrong-doers.
The Golden calf, lowed? Seriously?
Yes, seriously.

Quote:
10:93 And We verily did allot unto the Children of Israel a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things; and they differed not until the knowledge came unto them. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
Yet you mooslimbs are trying to wipe Israel off the planet. Isn't that going against allahs will?
You’re using the wrong translation.

And We had certainty settled the Children of Israel in an agreeable settlement and provided them with good things. And they did not differ until [after] knowledge had come to them. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ” (Surah 10:93)

Quote:
This is what Satan will say after the judgement. Wrong translation and out of context again.

“And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded” (Surah 14:22)

Doesn’t the Bible say Satan will confess the truth at judgement even though he is the father of lies?

Philippians 2:10 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Quote:
24:6 As for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing) by Allah that he is of those who speak the truth;
Well isn't that nice, if you don't have enough witnesses, you can just lie 4 times and it counts. Sucks to be the wife of a bitter husband.
I don’t see any problem with this. The bond of marriage should prevent false accusations being made.

Quote:
54:1 The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain. 54:2 And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion.
Still my favorite.
The splitting of the moon was a miracle as a sign of the prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Even then, many people still would not believe him.
