Good Locations to Study Creation Science -
02-10-2015, 03:29 PM
Hello everyone,
Recently, I've been thinking of going back to school part-time to brush up on apologetics, particularly against evolution. I currently have a BS and MS in engineering from University of Oklahoma, along with a degree from the local Baptist college.
However, I've never rigorously studied creation science and would like to find out about good programs to learn the skill. I've picked up some from Conservapedia and Answers in Genesis, but which programs provide the most rigorous, formal training in the subject? I'm thinking about Liberty online or Patriot Bible University, but what other options exist?

Mr. Beacon,
What a dilemma. As far as I know, many colleges offer some basics of Creation Science but the overall secularization has caused lots and lots of apostasy among traditional Creation Science Institutions.
You have to start somewhere and AiG is as good as it gets. They have a nice list HERE. They still list Liberty University (will they NEVER update the list) although good ol' Liberty has fallen to the spherical Earth heresy. The other listed ones are reasonably good. Just check that they have signed the Statement of Faith regarding the inerrancy of Genesis and be ready to sue in case they trespass!
The NW Creation Network also has nice resources.
But. Be vigilant. Evil lotion can enter anyplace, anywhere, anywhen! And remember some basics.
Acts 17:11
These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
SEARCH THE BIBLE DAILY. The procedure of a rigorous study in Creation Science is as follows:
- Read the sources, that is, the KJV.
- Look at the results of an experiment.
- Harmonize the results with a KJV passage.
I suggest you could try a pilot study. How hot was it under the water canopy before the Flood?
Sources:
Genesis 1:6
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Genesis 6:17
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Thus, we know that there was a canopy of water above the solid Firmament that partly provided the Floodwaters.
Observations: humid air seems hotter. Secular atheists claim that Noah would have been pressure-cooked under the canopy. So, was it too hot?
Harmonization: We KNOW he did not boil in a pressure-cooker as we are here as his descendants. Thus, atheists are WRONG. God rules supreme. Glory!
The best of luck for you. I hope the above outline for an essay will help you to design rousing experiments.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Perhaps it is a better idea to stay at home, studying the Bible? That way you are exempt from external sources that might be negative to your salvation and you would be home schooled.
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.

Thank you, Brother Elmer, for this excellent exemplification of Biblical Scientific Method. After all, the Biblical Science is the True Science, unlike these false babblings (1 Timothy 6:20) of the wisdom of the world (1 Corinthians 3:19).
