But let me ask you this. When you scrape that blade over the hair, how does the blade remove it? You're doing a scraping motion, but the blade is cutting. It doesn't pull the hair out, it doesn't dissolve it, it cuts it short.
Same as with scissors, when you use them on paper, you yourself are only squeezing the handles, so you could say that you're just closing and opening your fingers, but that doesn't stop the paper from being cut by the scissors blades does it? Scissor blades, razor blades, swords, etc. Blades are meant for one purpose: cutting.
