Interesting. I must admit that I do entertain this concept from time to time. I imagine God as a scientist, who created the world and now observes the rats in his lab, observing their behavior without any empathy for their suffering. That view does explain a lot the sheer amount of suffering and injustice in the world.

However, such thinking is sinful. So, I do some penitence after having such heretic thoughts, and then I come here, to try to gain the faith in a God who actually cares about those who follow His laws. I do envy the members of this lovely congregation for having such faith!

As it turns out, an executioner in the U.S. does have the legal right to kill a person who is condemned to the capital punishment.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the death penalty is not a per se violation of the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment, but the Eighth Amendment does shape certain procedural aspects regarding when a jury may use the death penalty and how it must be carried out.

In addition, military personnel also can legally kill other persons during battle when they carry out the commands of their superiors.

This is but a tiny material reflection of the actual Spiritual situation of condemnation, capital punishment and carrying out the commands of our REAL superiors, God and Jesus.

I'll agree with the second part of this statement. Heresy of Jesus of Nazareth was bad for the Jewish religion; heresy of of Martin Luther was bad for the Catholic Church; etc, etc.

However, I do not understand the first part of that statement - who is "you" that you're referring to? The heretic? The one who calls someone else a heretic? Or are you referring specifically to me? Either way, there are many variables. Heresies usually address some existing problems within a religion. Sometimes the cure is even worse than the disease, but you cannot overgeneralize and say that all heresies are bad.
