God hates people before they're born? -
06-25-2007, 01:23 AM
Okay. So this time when I thought up a new question for you guys, I was in a much nicer place than my last question. I was sitting outside watching the clouds go by last night. Pretty cool to watch the night sky. Anyway, I was thinking: God supposedly makes us the way we are, and decides how we are created before we are even conceived in this mortal realm, yeah? So here's my question. If god hates people with physical or mental disabilities, when he creates people with them from birth, does this mean he hates them, or is he testing their faith?
A good question, I think. Let's say a child was born with a case of mental retardation. Does this mean god wanted him to be like that and get sent to hell, even though the child hadn't even breathed air yet?
The only (somewhat) sane explanation I could think of is that it is punishment for it's parents sins. But as far as I know, God would make the parents themselves pay, as that child could very well grow up into a Pastor or a Missionary. So if it is sin of the parents that causes such, then doesn't that mean that Jesus and God could be cutting short their own possible followers, hmm?
Not trying to mock, simply looking for an answer. DISCUSS!

Son, all of these "whywhywhy" questions ARE designed to mock God, so lets set aside the pretenses.
God does things for His reasons. He left us a book of clues to help us, in our limited human way, to understand. Certainly it is true that God creates everything and everyone for some purpose. In the Bible, we are told that most people will be sent to hellfire. So Heaven won't be too crowded, but hell will be.
Anyone who has the audacity to be what God hates (homer, liberal, witch, gothtard, feminazi, etc) can rest assured that they have a spot reserved in the lake of fire. and that includes retardeds. I mean who wants them drooling in the potato salad at Jesus' eternal barbecue for the Saved?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Actually Pastor, I myself have a form of Mental Retardation, if you wish to use the term. Yeap. Allow me to explain.
I am what is known as a high-function Autistic disorder. Let me guess: You get the same image of me right now as what you do of the dear Jedi. Nope. Far from it. You see, being Autistic, I have my share of good and bad things. It gives me vastly superior brain power compared to most of you, and at the same time, gives me slight problems with social things. You get the picture. Strangely enough, even when I tell most people, they don't believe I have it. So I'll take God's unusual "curse" as your bible might call it, as a gift.
I wasn't thinking of myself in this question, but for the sake of a good argument, let's try it, mmkay? My family is 99.9% Christian. I'm a member of the small minority on my family tree who's a non-believer (or, heathen, if you will). My parents are both Christian, and both lived a good and honorable life (attended church too).
So, why would god bring this upon me? You tell me to stop asking why, but I suppose stubbornness is another trait your fantastic god bestowed upon me.

Okay, we'll try and speak more simply for you, now that you've confirmed what your DOF file says.
There is no such thing as "99.9%" Christian.
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Since God made you a mental cripple, you have no chance of attaining His Saving Grace. Sorry about that.
Lev.21:17-23
Whosoever ... hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. ... Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries.
I'm afraid that you and the jedi-tard have about the same chances of entering God's Kingdom; little to none. However, with enough prayer and a robust Tithing schedule, you may just do it. Jesus can cure retards, but you have to get His attention first.

I'm glad I've helped your DOF File ponder along. However, if you have any more questions, please just ask. Snooping is all well and good, but it's much easier to ask. Anybody can email me via the board anyway. It'd speed up your investigation somewhat I'm sure.
Ah, yes. That Levictus quote was the one I was looking for. I remembered reading it once, just never took the reference. I'll be sure to remember that one though. It'll make for a few interesting conversations, I'm sure.
Oh well, looks like I'm doomed anyway. That makes... 4 unchangeable sins. Wow, I'm doing pretty damn well good. Hot damn, I was right all these years. Jesus does hate me!

One thing you'll NEVER get - a sane explanation from a religious person.
Give up now.

Okay, I wanted to state that you obviously misinterpreted what he said. He was saying 99.9% of his family is Christian, since there is the small branch of non-believers of which he mentioned.
Also, I have heard better answers before on this forum. Let me try to recall it was something about how your "God" knows the "soul" is to be condemned ahead of time, before this "soul" is placed into the physical body. Since your "God" knows the future of this "soul" he places it into a body that befits the "soul." Something along those lines is what I have read on here semi-recently.
I answered your intriguing question for the TC's. Yikes, I hope this ridiculus idea of "believing" isn't contagious! Luckily, I know there is no such thing as a "god." If I believed such things, I'd much rather believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn! Haha, I love this forum sometimes; good for laughs.
"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death." ~Albert Einstein
