What are the most conservative, free-market, Bible-obeying Nations in the world?

I'm starting a project to list the world's nations by how closely they follow the Bible and/or Republican Party Platform.

To Do:
http://www.nationmaster.com/index.php is a great research tool for this project.

I also want to keep things lively with lots of pictures, anecdotes, and so on. I don't want another dry, dull paper that only eggheads read. Please post links to information on the nations we talk about.

There are already lists of which nation claims to be the most devout, based on polling, church attendance, etc. This is good, but only part of the picture, however. I'm looking for deeds, not just words. That means that even Muslims can be counted as "Bible Obeying", because so much of Biblical Law and Sharia Law overlap (due to their plagiarism).

There are also the "economic freedom indexes" compiled by the Fraser Institute in Canada and the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. However, these lists are completely flawed, they simply listed nations by wealth, resulting in Sweden and other socialist nations around the top!

I sure hope they don't end up believeing their own propaganda, I don't want to see the Star Spangled Banner replaced by an ABBA ditty any time soon!

According to their similar global maps of economic freedom, the economically-free countries of the world are by and large the mature, well-established industrial democracies: the U.S. and Canada, the nations of western Europe and Japan. But none of these countries, including the U.S., is anywhere near a libertarian paradise.

Now why would the Heritage Institute be willing to praise socialist Sweden over free-market Somalia? Is race a factor?

Anyway, the claims that Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Or Chile are/where particularly free-market are bogus. Read on to find who the real contenders are.

Close but not perfect: The "Failed States Index"

What happens when government gets "small enough to drown in a bathtub"? Liberals call this a "failed state", but True Christians™ call it a successful private-sector.

The "Failed States Index" from Foreign Policy magazine measured the same things I'm looking at, but it uses an incomprehensible liberal propaganda-language. I have translated to english [in the brackets].:

Social indicators
Demographic pressures: including the pressures deriving from high population density... [A pro-family "quiverfull" environment where lots of children is the norm]

The pressure [of] border disputes, ownership or occupancy of land, [Private property taken seriously, "you kids get off my lawn" on a larger scale]

Massive movement of refugees and internally displaced persons ["Labor market mobility" is a pro-business phenomenon. America will look like this for a while after we take over, as the illegals and non-Real Americans are deported.]

Legacy of vengeance-seeking group grievance: based on recent or past injustices, which could date back centuries. [The Spirit of the Confederacy: The South Shall Rise Again]

Institutionalized political exclusion. [Prevention of Voter Fraud.] Public scapegoating of groups believed to have acquired wealth, status or power [through affirmative action] as evidenced in the emergence of "hate" radio, pamphleteering and stereotypical or nationalistic political rhetoric. [A patriotic environment with no political correctness or pandering to foreigners and freaks.]

Chronic and sustained human flight: both the "brain drain" of professionals, intellectuals and political dissidents and voluntary emigration of "the middle class." [Urban elitists are told to "go back to Russia", and they finally do.]

Economic indicators
Uneven economic development along group lines: determined by group-based inequality, or perceived inequality, in education, jobs, and economic status. Also measured by group-based poverty levels, infant mortality rates, education levels.["We Should Revel in Inequality" - Margaret Thatcher.]

Collapse or devaluation of the national currency [people are switching to Gold, as every Goldbug libertarian has recommended] and a growth of hidden economies, including the drug trade, smuggling, [unregulated free-markets that don't wait for the government to disappear] and capital flight. [Globalization in action] Failure of the state to pay salaries of government employees and armed forces or to meet other financial obligations to its citizens, such as pension payments. [Less money wasted on public-sector parasites and welfare]

Political indicators

Criminalization and/or delegitimisation of the state: endemic corruption [free speech, according to the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling] or profiteering [trust liberals to call the profit motive a bad thing!] by ruling elites and resistance to transparency, [no invasions of privacy by wikileaks etc.] accountability and political representation. Includes any widespread loss of popular confidence in state institutions and processes. [People know how bad government is.]

Progressive deterioration of public services: a disappearance of basic state functions that serve the people, including failure to protect citizens from terrorism [liberal for gun control and persecution of militias] and violence and to provide essential services, such as health, education, sanitation, public transportation. [better left to the private sector] Also using the state apparatus for agencies that serve the ruling elites, such as the security forces, presidential staff, central bank, diplomatic service, customs and collection agencies.[I'm so sick of "ruling elite", we prefer the term "business community".]

Widespread violation of human rights: an emergence of authoritarian, [decisive] dictatorial [maverick] or military rule [supporting the troops] in which constitutional and democratic institutions and processes are suspended or manipulated. [Because 9/11 changed everything] A rising number of political prisoners or dissidents who are denied due process consistent with international norms and practices. [Guantanamo Bay] Any widespread abuse of legal, political and social rights, including those of individuals, groups or cultural institutions (e.g., harassment of the press, [liberal media held accountable] politicization of the judiciary [Citizens United, Bush V Gore], internal use of military for political ends, [or turning the police into soldiers, giving every town a SWAT team] public repression of political opponents, religious or cultural persecution.)[defending Real America from Cultural degeneracy and Sharia Law]
Security apparatus as "state within a state": an emergence of elite or praetorian guards that operate with impunity. [Support the troops, back the blue, let the NSA do whatever it does] Emergence of state-sponsored or state-supported private militias that terrorize political opponents, suspected "enemies," or civilians seen to be sympathetic to the opposition. [Militia Movement] An "army within an army" that serves the interests of the dominant military or political clique. [Blackwater/Xe/whatever it's called now] Emergence of rival militias, guerilla forces or private armies in an armed struggle or protracted violent campaigns against state security forces. [Free-market competition might as well also apply to militias.]
Use of aggressive nationalistic rhetoric by ruling elites, especially destructive forms of communal irredentism or communal solidarity (e.g., "ethnic cleansing", "defending the faith").[Patriotism.]

So, now that we see that a "failed state" is a liberal code-word for conservative utopia, let's see who the most conservative nations are:

Conclusions:

There must be something wrong with the index if Saudi Arabia doesn't make the top 20. I notice the failed states index didn't say anything about feminazis or homos. I think that explains why Islamic Nations didn't do so well. We'll need to add feminazism and sodomites to the calculations before our index is truly complete. Anything else missing?

Edit: I also wonder why Cambodia isn't higher on the list. Also North Korea with its patriotism, law and order, support the troops ethic, and it's corporate consolidation (the whole economy is basically one corporation), and lack of whining about inequality (the whole nation is the property of a hundred or so people).

I need to add a warning that Nationmaster can be very misleading if you don't account for nations that simply aren't counted. For example, I was looking at Church Attendance to measure religiosity, only to discover that no Muslim countries were there, and only two African nations are counted (both are in the top 4).

Moral of the story: always check the map first and discard any study that excludes entire continents.

I have always seen Iran as the model: a complete theocracy governed by laws as ancient as the people and solely designed so that the citizens are assured of entry to heaven.

And that last point is the only purpose of government.

If it is possible to create such a Mudslime state, think how much better a Christian state would be! We are wiser, think more deeply, are more patriotic and more faithful to the One True God than they will ever be.

Nations with highest gun ownership:

1. USA! USA! USA!
2. Yemen! Yemen! Yemen! (You know a place with "Men" in the title has to be good)
3. Switzerland - doesn't count, they have bullet-control and without bullets a gun is a club
4. Cyprus - gun-controlled tyranny, see below.
5. Saudi Arabia
6. Iraq - of course Iraq is among the most conservative nations, when we took over its whole government was redesigned by republican think-tanks.

There you have it: the 5 places in the world with the least tyranny and crime. Bonus points to Angola (#17) for having a gun in its flag. So does Hezbollah (they run part of Lebanon). This is embarrassing, why didn't we think of that? America's flag should have gun barrels for stripes and bullet-holes for stars.

Edit: Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Pakistan*, and Afganistan allow fully-automatic AK-47s, which America doesn't. Also factor in that their populations are mostly children, unlike the USA. As for Cyprus:

Cyprus has strict gun control. Private citizens are completely forbidden from owning handguns and rifles in any calber, even .22 rimfire. Only shotguns are allowed, and these require a license. Shotguns are limited to two rounds....Pump actions and semiautomatics are prohibited.

Edit again: Also factor in that most American guns are part of huge collections, meaning that we probably have less gun owners per capita than the others. See how misleading statistics can be without context?

We only have shotguns at our place but my husband and I are both expert shooters and don't need anything else. When my sister in law told me her hubby bought an assault rifle I told her shooting lessons will get you a lot farther than a high powered gun. She's mad at me now but it's kinda the truth. Deer season is coming up and we're each taking one shotgun and one bullet. All we need. Hopefully baby #7 will stay in for a few more weeks, I'd hate to miss deer hunting this year staying in the menstra shack because I'm unclean

I'm not sure what to make of these depression statistics.

Many of my previously-favorite nations are highly depressed, and some of the worst socialist hellholes (aka Europe) are less depressed.

Now, depression isn't necessarily about whiny emos cutting themselves. There's also good conservative depression, which involves country music and lots of staring at whisky.

Depression is often a result of anxiety, and of course we are commanded to FEAR THE LORD.

Also, if it's women and the poor who are depressed, that's a good sign, because they won't be uppity. I think that's mostly what's happening in the muslim nations, which is another True Conservative(tm) feather in their cap.

Unlike what liberal hippies claim, depression is not a reason to just drown yourself in alcohol and prozac. What depression actually is is simply the realization that not everything is perfect. With a bit of a can-do-attitude anyone with a depression can turn that prerequisite realization into a great entrepreneurial enterprise.

The depression statistics aren't relevant, it's what you do with your depression that matters.
