God condemns it outright, and if we lived in a land guided exclusively by the laws of God, you and I would be picking these kids off with a rifle and scope for sport. Praise Jesus I live for that day!

hahahahaha dude you're rediculous. Last time i checked playing a game from a real BOOK and trying to have fun isnt "practicing magic". these kids dont believe they will actually fly. Or believe in things such as magic. you are a laughing matter, you and everything that you say is, such as " and if we lived in a land guided exclusively by the laws of god, you and I would be picking these kids off with a rifle and scope for sport." where the hell does it say that killing is okay. Im pretty sure that one of the ten commandments is "thou shall not kill" and last time i checked shooting kids with a rifle is killing.

Someone who is only 'pretty sure' about the ten commandments probably shouldn't be lecturing a True Christian Pastor.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I'm the quidditch captain at my high school. This is an alternative sport that people at my school have found to be very fun.
Honestly, I'm sure you have never read harry potter so I'll clear this up for you. They're playing 'muggle-quidditch' meaning 'no magic involved quidditch.' So there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. If anything it's a very fun game to get everyone active

You little idiot! That's like saying, "We were involved in satanic rites but there were no babies sacrificed."!
Just leave this alone... you will become more and more involved until Satan has your soul!

Do forgive my lack of technical know-how, as I'm still becoming accustomed to this form of communication. It had been my understanding for years that all online communication was a method for allowing Satan in through network cables (I assumed his minions needed something somehow larger than telephone lines), and have only changed this opinion once I discovered I could no longer get my church newsletter through any other means but e[lectronic]-mail.
My little girl will be graduating from our home academy (or "homedemy," for this word-shortening online medium), and we are now looking for a "homelege." Does anyone know of any curricula? I'm looking for something that can give her all the experience she would require from college, so the curriculum should help her network with Christian men and get married, as well as gathering the basic abilities to homeschool her own children once they become of age.
Also, since she'll be required to maintain the house, follow for her future husband needs and every whim, and provide healthcare for her husband and children (and her parents and his parents, and so forth), the curriculum should be heavy on housekeeping, culinary arts, first-aid, and grammar, and small on psychology, sociology, history and literature. Curricula that includes Bible as a literary study but without any literary analysis, a huge plus!!! (Did I do that last part right?)

I'm not sure why you would think that God wouldn't approve of computers.
Take a look at this:
Quote:
Ex:38:21: This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.
|
This is summing – adding things up to get a True / False answer
Now look at this:
Quote:
Le:25:29: And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
Le:25:30: And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
Le:25:31: But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
|
And here we see conditional summing - =IF(Houses<Walls,SUM(H:H’), TRUE,IF(WALL=0, JUBILE),IF(HOUSE=CITY, TRUE),JUBILE))
I do not think there is a clearer example of the hint from God that Computers would be Godly.
Please make a thread of your own in the " Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
