The position of pope is an office - the office is always filled - one cannot generalize about an office - the office is there. Its incumbent may change but the office remains the same - it is the pope (whoever he is) who is the antichrist.
First there is the video. This is not a Baptist production and I feel that it is flawed in one or two of its suggestions, yet, it gives the idea.
Next you have already been told of the command by God not to call anyone father other than God. Yet what does “pope” mean? The word itself means “Father”. You can joke as to whether you should call your genetic father, “father” but, whatever else you believe, someone who is not your father should not be called that. Yet the church of Rome’s hierarchy all insist you call them “father” in direct contravention to Christ’s word.
Let us look to see what Timothy said about the hierarchy of the church which Christ intended,
1Tm:3:1: This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
1Tm:3:2: A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
1Tm:3:3: Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
1Tm:3:4: One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
1Tm:3:5: (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
How many catlick bishops have a wife? None. How many have children? We don’t know. Why does the church of Rome disobey the word of God? I suggest it is not bothered what Christ said or did.
Christ says Salvation is through Him. The catlick church says that it can be through works – Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems may all enter Heaven.
What then was the point of Christ’s sacrifice? Who then other than the antichrist would deny this sacrifice?
The evidence towards the pope being the antichrist is laid out in books, on the internet and at good protestant churches throughout the world.

The more I read the blatherings from the defenders of Mother Rome, the more I'm convinced that something in the death cookies and sacramental wine impairs their reading comprehension. I didn't say anything about what you call your male parent; I talked about the papist priests, like Rast, who want you to address them by the title Father (unless, of course, Rast or another papist fish head is your biological male parent, in which case I really don't need the details).

I agree completely, and there's no room in the Trinity for a "Blessed Virgin" goddess based loosely on Mary and closely on Semiramis.

Marliana: "Just because a FEW popes were into gambling and women..."
Why, my dear, I do love your subtle way with words. Just because a FEW pillars of a bridge are corrupt, weak, and rotten doesn't mean that the whole bridge is unsafe...WAIT! Yes it does.
As your careful words demonstrate, the Catholic cult is spiritually unsound as a bridge with rotten supports.
And as you said (with beautifully understated irony) not once in his tenure as Pope did John-Paul demonstrate infallibility.
(Actually, no Pope has convincingly demonstrated that -- although some have been satanically clever.)
As to the rest, I can only applaud Brother Bathfire. He has convincingly demonstrated that Jesus never intended to found a Papacy, and that the Catholic Church is unbiblical to the core. Bravo, Brother Bathfire!

The Catholic Church does not say that salvation is through works. Read James again. I will DEMONSTRATE my faith to you FROM my works. Salvation is from faith in Jesus......
Your movie gives 11 prophecies, but none of them had the word Antichrist; therefore I am unsure that the beast and the Antichrist are one in the same, nevertheless, I found your movie disturbing, and I will bow out to the wisdom of the other Catholic members of this group to explain Revelations and the error of your movie......... I admit to being unknowledgeable in this area......
The Catholic Church DOES NOT DENY the sacrifice!!! I believe in Jesus's sacrifice, and so does my Church. Jesus died for my sins and without that, I am truly dead. Without that, there is NO forgiveness of sins, Church or no Church. Period. No exceptions....

No, the fact that he's Satan's representative on earth is what makes the Pope the antichrist.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

The church of Rome says that it possible to achieve Salvation through works and without faith - hence their claim that non-believers will enter Heaven. This is unsupported in the Bible.
Marlaina[/quote]
Firstly, The Bible KJV 1611 is the only inerrant Bible. All others have been altered. The Copy used by the church of Rome is particularly filled with deceptions and plain and simple mis quotes and translations – it is NOT the Word of God! Neither does it contain the Apocrypha, which the church of Rome said was to be used so as to render all Bibles, other than those they approved, useless and it was punishable to use such a Bible. The Christians of the world rebelled – they discarded the Apocrypha! The Protestant reformation was underway and the escape from the antichrist had begun!
Now, on with the show!
Demonstration or Works is/are insufficient for Salvation but faith alone is, for we are all sinners:
Christ Himself said,
“M't:10:32: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Once we are saved, we are saved forever:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
The there is
Ro:3:20: Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Ro:3:21: But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Ro:3:22: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Ro:3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ro:3:24: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Ro:3:25: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Ro:3:26: To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Ro:3:27: Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Ro:3:28: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Thus Hindus, Moslems and the rest of the heathens will not enter Heaven: but the church of Rome says they will! They deny Christ! The church of Rome say faith in Him is Not Necessary!
And why do you confess your sins to a priest? Speak, and God Himself will hear you.

OK, for some reason my last posting didn't make it to ya'll. Let me paraphrase.
I'm not interested in joining your Church. Why?
Ya'll are too angry. You will know they are Christians by their love.
You worship ya'lls translation of the Bible.
I am already saved, and am trying to find something to do with myself now that I am saved. Ya'll call that Salvation by works, I call it sanctification, and a reason to live. A challenge, perhaps.....

How very fluffy-bunny of you. When people in Old Testament times carried out God's commands to commit genocide, were they too angry? When Jesus had that little incident with the moneychangers, was He too angry? When He drop-kicks sinners into the lake of fire for all eternity, will you recommend an anger-management class? Scripture makes it abundantly clear that Christian love includes tough love.

We are full of love, but not the perverted hippie "politically correct" love that you false Christians try and cram down everyone's throat. We are full of CHRIST's love, the real deal, the kind only our Savior can dish out.
He that believeth not shall be damned.--Mark 16:16

What's that? You were on your iPhone during your pontiff's Mass? On second thought, the less attention you pay to Pope Ratfaced, the better.
Oh, and you do know, of course, that the iPhone is a product of blue-state fag-enablers. I guess you didn't get the invite to beta-test JesOS™ Mobile.
