Tips For A Healthy Christian Marriage -
11-01-2015, 05:08 AM
Husbands and Wives – Love God more than you love your spouse.
“He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” – Matthew 10:37
Wives – Submit to your husband.
“Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.” – Ephesians 5:24
Husbands – Know your wife and honor her as your helper.
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered” – I Peter 3:7
Wives – Respect your husband as the holy women of old did their husbands.
“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands… For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord” – I Peter 3:1 & 5-6
Husbands – Love your wife as Christ loved the Church.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” – Ephesians 5:25
Wives – Ravish your husband with your sexual love, and give your body freely to your husband whenever he needs sex.
“Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.” – I Corinthians 7:3-4
Husbands – find sexual satisfaction in your wife’s body on a regular basis, and give your body freely to your wife whenever she needs sex.
“Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.” – Proverbs 5:19
Husbands and wives – have children.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply” – Genesis 1:28
Wives –bear children and manage your home for your husband.
“I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.” I Timothy 5:14
Husbands – provide food, clothing and shelter to your wife and children.
“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” – I Timothy 5:8
If we would only follow these commands of God regarding marriage – divorce would be eradicated and we would have a more peaceful and prosperous society.
In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Hello Brother Harold Porter.
I was always confused by Proverbs 5:19 which you quoted above it says:
Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
I thought loving hind meant for things to be done in the wrong place like hindquarters or behind but I looked it up and hind means a female deer not the wrong place I do not want to say it but anal I apologize.
Thank you.
Rusty
P.S. The Bibles says breasts 27 times I counted but one time it said dry breasts that should not count.
Psalms 116:6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Thank you, Brother, for spelling this out for the young couples, and for those who find their marriages in a state of stagnation. The answer is clear - follow the Guide Book unconditionally, without reservation, and God will Bless your marriage. I see it like being on a diet (something the ladies will no doubt understand). Many times throughout the day I'm tempted to eat something that looks delicious, and I think to myself "one bite can't hurt." I know how important it is to be beautiful and "pleasant," as Jesus puts it, to my husband, and so "one bite" becomes a matter of rebellion. And that does hurt. I have to constantly remind myself this, so I put notes around the house for me to see. I don't do this in places where Mr. Etheldreda may come across them, like the refrigerator, but in places he does not go, like the laundry room, my purse, under the bathroom sink, in the children's bedrooms, etc.
These notes remind me of my natural state (tempted by sin), and remind me of what I truly deserve (eternal death). It keeps me humble, and so when I stumble upon a note that I've tucked away to surprise myself, it helps to remind me of my duty - to obey my husband and be a constant source of pleasure to him. These are especially helpful when, in a moment if weakness, I make a mistake that inspires the righteous anger of my husband. Because he is a godly man, because he does follow the word of God, and because he does obey the guide (Ephesians 5:23), he disciplines me as the LORD inspires him.
I'll tell you, the first time I saw the note after an unfortunate domestic discipline accident in which I broke my wrist, I could practically hear Jesus' sweet voice telling me, "I told you so, dear. You trust and follow me, and this won't happen again. Now go back and put on your little yellow negligee, the one he really likes, and don't even grimace when your wrist hurts. That's your reminder of what will happen if you continue to listen to the voice of the Enemy and rebel. Now go on, be a good girl. Be a pleasure to your husband. Be an extra pleasure for him now. You should have been a pleasure this whole time, and if you hadn't rebelled, you wouldn't be in pain right now, would you? He is my special ambassador, and I chose him for you. Don't disappoint me now. I'll know if your heart isn't in it. Don't cry now. That's pathetic. I'm watching, and I want you to please Me by pleasing him."
And please my Lord I will! No matter what it takes!
So thank you Brother Porter for this fine reminder for me, and for all the ladies.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
