Flat Earth? Hell Yes! -
01-24-2008, 03:01 AM
Dear Friend,
The fact of the matter is, there are all sorts of Biblical verses that make no sense if the Earth is a sphere -- without corners or ends. Therefore, the Earth must be flat.
"And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the Earth." Isaiah 11:12.
"And after these things I saw four angels standing on four corners of the Earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree." Revelation 7:1.
"That it might take hold of the ends of the Earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?" Job 38:13.
"O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the Earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit." Jeremiah 16:19.
"The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the ends of the Earth." Daniel 4:11. Yours in Him,
BAB

My Creation Scientist buddies are already working on their case about how those "actual" photos of the Earth are really just pictures of Earth taken with a special rounded lens. Regardless of that, we are really just being nice. Were still pretty sure that those photographs were hoaxes propagated by the Lieberal-left, but were starting small first before we pack our grand revelation of the TRUTH!

4 corners of the earth is a metaphor, How could god make day and night with the earth being flat? Then whats the sun? Is that flat?

Are we supposed to believe that just on your say-so? Where's your proof? God says the Earth doesn't move.
1Chr 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
Ps 93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
Ps 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
The Bible also clearly and consistently describes the Earth as being set up on foundations, and the sun and moon as lights that move across the sky.
I believe I'll take God's word over the say-so of some random internet troll.

How would it be dark if the earth was round friend? Light bends from gravity so the light would bend around a round earth making day all the time.

It can also be explained with a little common sense that the Lord would never shape our Earth as the same shape of something that dangles from the male rude bits.

How can God-created 'the male bits' be RUDE?
1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
How can 'the male bits' or dangling round small parts of the temple of the Holy Spirit be RUDE?

Now, as we have established that dangling round parts also known as testicles of the temple of the Holy Spirit also known as human male body are not RUDE, but Blessed, then it is quite possible that God did create the Earth to resemble those dangling round parts. Or He created the round, dangling parts to resemble the Earth... I think it is no coincidence, either that words 'Testicle' and 'Testament' are so similar, almost identical.

Bobby Joe saying that made absolutely no since, Heres a statement that sounds as intelligent as yours. "Well of course the earth isn't shaped like a penis because if it was then America would be covered in hair."

Gravity bends light, right? Ask any Physicists this Snotty, they'll confirm this. So if the earth was round the light would just bend around the earth and we would have daylight even in the middle of the night.

Yes gravity bends light, but the object has to be very dense to cause light to bend, and the earth is not dense dense enough to cause light to bend in on itself to create eternal daylight.
Now if we go off the pretense that the earth is flat, how do you explain gravity? and if it's by the whole gravity is the force of attraction between two objects, then if you fell off one side of a flat earth, wouldn't you just end up on the other side?
also if the earth is flat, then why can't cartographers create a to-scale replica of the earth on a piece of paper?
I would like to know what you think.

Ummm. no Light bends around super massive objects, like our sun for example, something that weighs billions of times of the weight of the earth can hardly affect lights path at all.
Also, you want proof of a round earth, get on a Airplane. And fly to singapore then to europe then back to wherever the hell you live.
Then explain how you went around the back of the earth where the sun is at night.
Really, you cannot see any amount of logic in this.
Open your mind and heart

well by your logic the gravity from the earth would bend the light so far down the rays would eventually bend so far as to collide with the earth or another object...if you are going to try and argue with logic at least learn some basic reasoning skills retard

Your ignorance is exposed here, I'm afraid. While, it is true that gravity can bend light, the effect is not great enough such that light would envelop the entire earth.
The proof of this lies with the experiment which was proposed by Einstein when he tested general relativity during an eclipse:
"If space really was distorted by gravity, then light passing through it would not travel in a straight line, but would follow a curved path. The stronger the force of gravity, the more the light would be bent. The bending would be largest for light passing very close to a very massive body, such as the Sun.
Unfortunately, the most massive objects known to astronomers at the time were also very bright. This was before black holes were seriously considered, and stars provided the strongest gravitational fields known. The Sun was particularly useful, being a star right on our doorstep. But it is impossible to see how the light from faint background stars might be bent by the Sun’s gravity, because the Sun’s light is so bright it completely swamps the light from objects beyond it.
Eddington realised the solution. Observe during a total eclipse, when the Sun’s light is blotted out for a few minutes, and you can see distant stars that appear close to the Sun in the sky. If Einstein was right, the Sun’s gravity would shift these stars to slightly different positions, compared to where they are seen in the night sky at other times of the year when the Sun far away from them. The closer the star appears to the Sun during totality, the bigger the shift would be."
