It just makes me sick that the Iowa Supreme Court ruled it is OK for harlot women to receive abortion medicines while being watched by a Doctor on a TV monitor. We need to look into Iowa's history with Telemedicine to understand what happened here.
A previous liberal governor appointed members of the Iowa Board of Medicine. That Board was so political, it ruled that people in rural Iowa could be treated by Doctors through telemedicine and that abortion was just one of many kinds of issues treated through this technology.
Anti abortion Republican Terry Branstead was elected and promised to stop this insertion of politics into medicine. He said the Board of Medicine needed to treat abortion differently than other medical issued because it killed babies. Anyone could see, Branstead said, treating abortion as if it were just an ordinary medical issue was inserting politics.
Our Godly Branstead fired the entire Board of Medicine and appointed new anti abortion members. The new Board quickly stopped Telemedicine abortions.
Now, the activist Iowa Supreme Court has ruled in favor of baby killers. It has the audacity to say the Board of Medicine had singled our abortion in its decision and approved all the other services delivered by TV. How could
anyone say saving babies is political?
Reaction to Friday's telemedicine abortion ruling
The Des Moines Register 8:51 p.m. CDT June 19, 2015
Here is a sampling of quotes from state and national figures about Friday's Iowa Supreme Court ruling affirming the legality of a telemedicine abortion system:
Hillary Clinton, Democratic candidate for president, on Twitter: "Welcome news: The Iowa Supreme Court has ruled to protect women's ability to access safe & legal abortion throughout the state."
MORE:
Iowa Republican Party Chairman Jeff Kaufmann: "It's extremely disappointing that our judiciary would strike down a rule that ensured women received the standard of care they deserved before undergoing a significant medical procedure."
Iowa Democratic Party Chairwoman Andy McGuire: "All Iowa women, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status, should have access to treatments and services that are vital to their well-being. Today's decision empowers women with the resources and information needed to take charge of their own health care decisions."
Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life: "Iowa is taking a dangerous step backward today with this ruling from its state Supreme Court. RU-486 abortions have high rates of complications and have caused death. But even aside from that, by what illusion do judges think it is unconstitutional to require a patient and her doctor to be in the same room for assessment prior to dispensing drugs?"
Connie Ryan Terrell, chairwoman of the Iowa group Justice Not Politics: "Today's ruling is the latest example highlighting Iowa's proud tradition of our courts being free from politics. … Iowans will always stand up for a judicial process that is free from politics, defending the courts from extremists who want to attack our justices and judges to benefit their own narrow agenda."
