Guns or any weapon of any kind is not allowed on school grounds. If they get caught with them it wouldn't matter whether or not it was self-defense, they would go straight to jail, be kicked out of school, and even ruin their entire futures. Nobody, especially a teenager, is going to agree with someone going to jail for having a gun at school, let alone agree with someone going to jail for murder or attempted murder.
And, peer-pressure takes a lot more than having some good-looking teen saying that something is "uncool" or "gay". There are more and more teens who really don't care about someone elses opinions, especially about things such as political parties or even religion. Teens are much more open-minded than they were years ago.
