Dear Br. Harold Porter:
I must respectfully disagree, sir, with your erroneous observations and your wrongheaded rebuke.
How, pray tell, can a font, which is a printing type set & something inanimate, be gay? I thought only human beings, and perhaps some furry animals, are gay.
Do you mean the printing typeface, that is, font, that I use, italicized Courier New, is ostentatious, that is, too elaborate &/or too ornamental?
Does God specify which printing typeface a True Christian™ ought to use in his posts? If so, where is it in Holy Scripture? What and where is the justification for preferring one font over another in Holy Scripture?
If you think italicized Courier New is too flowery & ostentatious, look below at the title of page of a copy of the first edition of the King James Bible published in 1611. Would you call gay the printer (i.e.: Robert Barker, printer to H.M. the King, which you can clearly read on the title page) of King James I of England/King James VI of Scotland, who ordered and authorized the translation and printing of this Bible which bears his name in common usage throughout the English-speaking world? I think not.
If using an alternative font to the default font on this forum, i.e.: Verdana, is good enough for the printer to H.M. King James I of England/King James VI of Scotland, and the King James Version of the Holy Bible, it's good enough for me!
Yours in the Fellowship of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, & member of the forums (Is Black-letter typeface, shown above in the title of the Landover Baptist Church, gay, too?):

Below is another example of Black-letter typeface used in these forums and on this website. Is this, too, "gay"? You decide, dear reader!

You're pretty good with apostrophes and commas. Are you sure you're really Australian?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I am most certainly an Australian, a fifth-generation Caucasian Anglo-Saxon Australian.
I am good at spelling, grammar, usage, and punctuation because I was educated at a time in Australia when one was caned if one made an error in basic written English.
The standards of education in Australia, naturally including written English, were much, much higher then than they are now or have been for the last 40 odd years. When one got a public education in the 1950s & '60s in New South Wales, one left school actually educated.

You're new here so you're not familiar with Brother Porter's history. You see, he has a very... intimate knowledge of all things sodomite. Before Christ saved him, he was one of their most celebrated recruiters. As a result of his many years of surviving in environments that cultivate of one of the most horrifying of sins, he can sniff a gay cologne a mile away, hear a telling lisp in any language, and recognize writing tactics favored by the limp-wristed. Perhaps where you are from the gays haven't picked up on this particular fashion yet, but if there's a molecule of sodomy in a thing, Brother Porter can suss it out with supernatural speed and never-failing accuracy. If I were you, I'd consider what Brother Porter has to say with humility, and an ear inclined to learn, for he is a True Christian™ and respected member of this church. As such, he is therefore above reproach (Titus 1:7-8).
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I see. But I can assure you there is nothing gay about writing and posting in italicized Courier New. Nothing!

However, living in Newton, is definitely a clue to gayness. Milwaukee is now my chosen abode, but some years ago I was posted to Sydney. Never a more concentrated cesspool of sodomites have I seen, as walk down King Street. Should be renamed Queen Street or Queer Street.
Thank God, I was able to get back to Milwaukee after 18 months.

58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring k upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Well, of course Newtown, an district and suburb in inner west Sydney for those who don't know, is a slough of sodomites and lesbians, of narcotics addicts and traffickers, as well, prostitution and brothel-keeping, too, and in the old days before the legalization of abortion, of backstreet abortionists, to boot!
That is why I am here to spread the Good Word among the sinners in this morass of sinners and to fight the good fight.
One cannot be condemned as a sinner by association with sinners: It is simply not just or valid to convict someone on purely circumstantial evidence regarding their place of abode!
The King James Bible is replete with instances of Jesus associating with sinners, here are but a few quotes from the New Testament:
Mark 2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. Mark 2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Matthew 9:10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Luke 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
Luke 6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 15:1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

One cannot be condemned as a sinner by association with sinners: It is simply not just or valid to convict someone on purely circumstantial evidence regarding their place of abode! To do so would be most un-Christian!
I am here to be healed and saved by & through the repentance of my sins! And in doing so, I am attempting to call to other sinners to repent of their sins and take up the Word and follow the Lord, Jesus Christ! If one is to be Christian, one must be active in spreading the Good Word to those of sinful ways! And Newtown is full of sinners and their sinful practices so it is here I must start!
The King James Bible is replete with instances of Jesus associating with sinners. I am merely following the example of the Lord, Jesus Christ! Here are but a few pertinent quotes from the K.J.V.'s New Testament of Jesus associating with sinners:
Mark 2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. Mark 2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

Red Spinifex protests too much! He is so obviously a closeted homer. Fortunately there is a Landover program which can help get the gay out of him and the gay font he uses when he posts here.

Second angel “There followed another angel, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.'” (Revelation 14:8 KJV)
The second angel’s message is a call to repentance. Broadly taken, it is a call to everyone everywhere to leave their sins (“Babylon”) behind them and give them up.

For those reading who may be tricked into thinking The Bible is written in code:
The Bible is not written in code. Verse 14 means Babylon, the great city, is fallen because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Mark 10 . KJV . look up
15 Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
The passage from Revelation, which can be read in context here, is not written in such a way requiring code-breaking skills or decades of scholarship in poetic symbolism to understand. It's written so that we will understand about the Kingdom of Heaven and in such a way that a little child would understand.
If you're going to say "Babylon" is code for "Sins" what's to stop you saying "She" is code for "a pterodactyl" and finishing up with There followed another angel, saying, Your sins are fallen, are fallen, that great your sins, because a pterodactyl made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of promiscuous egg laying?
Maybe "Angel" is code for something too! The correct way to read The Bible is by understanding that the words mean just what they say.
