Exodus was about the Jews leaving enslavement to Egypt.
However, there are many instructions on the proper care, pricing, etc. for slaves. Even in the New Testament, slaves are commanded to be respectful of their master . . . even if their masters beat them for no reason.
1 Peter 2: 18-2018 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
See? Being beaten by your master when you did no wrong adds to the Glory of God, and pleases Him.

How is it racist to consider African Americans sub-human, or call their infants "niglets"?

No idea, How is it racist?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

What is the definition of racism here? All I've seen is hate and condemnation of other races, which under normal circumstances is racism, but apparently here it means something completely different.
Is it perhaps the other way around? Is compassion racism?

Sir, I asked the question earlier about 'compassion' being in the bible...my response was an accusation of being a 'Jew'.

Yesyes and alf, you are in the minority here. Maybe you're just hypersensitive to race relations and tend to see racism everywhere. There is no racism on these forums. We at Landover Baptist realize that all races are equal and no race is better than others. I myself treat my negro and Mexican workers fair and give them competitive wages.

Then what's with all the posts (not to mention Stickies topics) that go into detail about how African Americans are less intelligent than white people? Or how slavery is acceptable, despite its contradiction to the law? There's a difference between paying someone fairly and TREATING someone fairly.

I don't recall ever seeing anything of that sort on here. We do not tolerate racism. Are you sure it wasn't written by an unsaved trash person or a troll? Often they are racist.

Slavery is acceptable in God's eyes. Are you accusing God of being racist then?

You must be talking about someone else. I never spell Jew as Joo. Nor I use the term darkie.
Of course I don't pay a negro the same as a white man. Not because of the color of their skin, its just them negroes don't work as hard as whites.

Sir ..that by definition it IS racism..You can not generalise one mans work ethic to another, because of race alone.

No it's not! I'm not generalizing one man, I observe this with all my negro workers! I've been quite wealthy all my life so I've had various servants of all races with everything from landscapers to maids to cooks to butlers to chaffeurs, you name it. I've employed about a hundred people over the course of my life and honestly, my white and Mexican workers perform harder than the negroes. I'm just observing the facts, I'm not being racist in any way.

Why would a man of God employ so many servants? Is it really necessary to your lifestyle?

Absolutely! I've lived in several mansions over the years. You don't expect my wife to clean the whole place do you? As well, I've had expansive lawns and gardens, pools, I've had limos drive me around, I've had golf caddies, etc. The Lord has blessed me with my hard work bringing people to Christ by giving me vast riches.

Rev. Jim hasn't owned any of that. It's all provided by Jesus, praise His name.
Take me for instance; I live in an 18 bedroom estate with an indoor Olympic-size pool and a stable full of Arabian stallions. I get a brand new Custom Escalade every year from my grateful congregation, which I use to drive the 800 yards from my home to the church every Sunday.
We True Christian™ pastors don't have a penny to our names. It's all owned by the Church (and thus tax-exempt!). Shout Glory!
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Rev. Osborne and the good Pastor Have so many people in his employ because they are such generous and giving men. They do not need any of these workers. They do not need these massive splendid home nor the fleet for exotic automobiles. The grateful parishioners force these things upon them. For example, I know for a fact, the Pastor is constantly getting rid of the enormous Cadillac Escalades he is given only to be seen the next day in another one. What should he do, never touch the gift? That would be rude and calloused. They spend and hire so much to provide a lifestyle to people who otherwise would be destitute. I know Rev. Osborne's personal masseuse would have to go back to working the street if it were not for his kindness.
Calling someone racist by definition, may make you racist. Think about it, and tithe generously. God is watching.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

No thanks. The last time we had an abo wanting to tithe it sent us a bag of muddy sticks and some broiled maggots.
Thanks all the same.
