God wrote the Bible, but you're right, many false Bibles have been printed by men over the years and we are as much against them as you are.
We use the original KJV 1611 Bible which is NOT edited by man. It is the pure word of God.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

And how would you know that? Every other version of the Bible claims is the true one, and yours does too. You have no definite proof it is true, besides your belief it is. Just like every other religion only has their belief in their holy book.

Heck, you might as well become an atheist!

I'm not searching, and I am not the least bit confused. I researched most Religions there are today, and read their Holy books, and I came to the right conclusion that my heart and mind tell me it is.
I have as much evidence for the existence of my higher power as you have for the existence of your God. Only difference is, I didn't write a book and claimed it's the word of that higher power.
There is nothing wrong with atheism. Everyone, just like you, has the freedom to believe in what they think is right. You believe the Bible and Jesus are the truth. The people in India believe the same thing about Lord Krishnu and Lord Shiva. The people in the middle east believe the same thing about Allah.
Calling me an Atheist would be just like calling everyone else that follows a different religion than your own an Atheist. I respect other peoples beliefs, and will not call it false, because there is no evidence for any of it.
My personal quote: We can be as honest as we are ignorant. If we are, when asked what is beyond the horizon of the known, we must say that we do not know.
And I want to rest my case, because on here, we can't have a decent conversation. I think its a good one, and so far I'm enjoying it, put there are all the others who comment, and I can't reply to all of them. Am not omnipotent

You use a lot of words to convey a message that has nothing constructive or intelligent in it, Brian.
You don't have to be hateful, you know. We have nothing to prove to you. If you refuse God, then you will pay the price, Brian.
We can merely say " but Brian, please come to Heaven with us". We don't say that we WANT you to go to Hell, Brian. We are really praying and hoping that you will reconsider and let go of your sinful lifestyle and open yourself up to God, Brian. Then your life on earth will be great and your life when you die.
Doesn't that sound like a grand idea, Brian?
I take my orders from Jesus H. Christ, supernatural born US citizen
Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

I'm perfectly happy with my life. It's been amazing so far, and there are always new things to see and learn. I have no complaints about my life, nor did I have anything bad happen to me. I have a loving family, friends I can trust with my life, and other things that are too personal to discuss on an open forum. My point is, my life has been great, and I'm looking forward to live it to its fullest like I did until now

It's not ''my'' Atheism. I'm not an Atheist, I'm an agnostic. And I said earlier I believe in a higher power, just a different one from yours.
Atheism isn't a religion. It's simply a belief in a likely, but not necessarily true fact.
Just most people believe in the big bang. Would you call the belief in the Big Bang a religion? ''Big-banginism''?
And mind you, there is increasing evidence speaking in favor of the big bang

Learn to spell? To which word were you referring? Gentile? Sorry if your vocabulary is lacking but perhaps this will help (From Websters)
Main Entry: 1gen·tile
Pronunciation: \ˈjen-ˌtī(-ə)l\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Late Latin gentilis, from Latin gent-, gens nation
Date: 14th century
1 often capitalized : a person of a non-Jewish nation or of non-Jewish faith; especially : a Christian as distinguished from a Jew
2 : heathen, pagan
3 often capitalized : a non-Mormon
I will not correct your spelling or grammar, that would be petty. Gee, that was fun.

Brian, you are awfully full of yourself, so full of condencending comments (that are baseless), judgments that are from a person who has demonstrated he has no right to judge.
Please, point out the contradictions. I am sure everyone on the Internet would love to hear them. You are merely upset because the answers are simple enough that most five years 'get it' yet it feels like a stretch for you. But we are helping you understand. We are not abandoning you or making rude digs. Incredibly, you have managed to belittle yourself and be thought a fool. Such a shame as you were doing fairly well before and I actually had some respect for you. But like a leaf on a tree in the fall, it soon was gone.

The Bible tells us that in some cases, we have to amputate.
If you are disturbed by what God instructs us to do, isn't it something to take up with God?

I could not find any and thought perhaps you were unfamiliar with the word "Gentile" and I kindly proffered the excerpt from Websters (which I gave credit to). I think this goes back to your narrow minded view of things.
I, as a person do not condemn. I follow laws, even ones I do not always agree with. Those laws require me to condemn. I do not have a say in the matter.
Honestly, it is a very simple concept, Brian.
Quote:

As I said above, I amy not agree with the laws, but I follow them. Life is unfair sometimes.

Again, we are following the laws of Bible. Just like with secular laws, you have to follow them even if you disagree with them. If you want the laws changed, you have to speak to the lawmakers. In the case of the Bible, that is God. But you do not believe in Him and therefore have a problem that no one but you can do anything about.
Brian, I suggest reading more and work on your comprehension. I suggest not making false accusations and lies. You will be caught and you be thought the lesser man.

Brian, there in lay a point you fail to grasp.
We follow the Bible, every single word exactly as it is written. We may not agree with all of it. But you cannot pick and choose. Either you are a Christian or you are not.
In secular life, you may never exceed the speed limit but you may not always use your turn signals. Following one law does not excuse you from following another. In this example, you have broken the law and deserve the punishment. Living by the Bible is the same.

Why are you debating about your lack of spelling ability in a thread about amputation?
If you as an atheist have something to add to the topic at hand, please do. Do you atheists have different methods of amputating? Perhaps you have special tips for removing toes so one doesn't cause collateral damage to other toes? Or perhaps a way to allow a chainsaw to be operated singlehandedly?

James, now take a careful look at all your posts up to this point, and tell me how many times you insulted me, and how many times you called me inferior to you, and then count the times I did that.
Now tell me who has a superiority complex out the two of us?
And you call ME narrow minded? I'm by far more open minded than you are, because I accept the fact that my beliefs may not be true, I am open to the possibility that the Bible isn't as true as it claims it is, and I am open to all the other religions, and won't discard them as rubbish as you do. You, on the other hand, blindly believe in every single word that's written in the Bible without stopping to think just who may have put them there, and you who are so convinced that your Religion is the only true one, and all the others are not. And then you call ME arrogant, ignorant, and narrow-minded, and tell me I have a superiority complex.
