My dear, the story of Abraham and Isaac is an exception to the rule, which in turn confirms the rule itself.
Judges 11:30-40
30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,
31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
32 So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the Lord delivered them into his hands.
33 And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.
34 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.
35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back.
36 And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the Lord, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the Lord hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.
37 And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.
38 And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.
39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,
40 That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.
I have underlined the most relevant parts of the story. I hope that was helpful.

Actually God did not command Jephtha to sacrifice his daughter, HE made that vow to the Lord. Nice try though.

Actually, God could have make a dog be the first creature to greet Jepthah. But, God wanted a human sacrifice, not animal.
Nice try, though.

Good job being a rude little brat, missy! "Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father;" 1 Timothy 5:1

How do I know you're an elder? To me you're just a Pharissee who spends way too much time on the internet and twists Scripture around to fit your messed up world view. I'd recommend a good dose of therapy.

Sweetie, please do show me a True Christian™ - any True Christian™ - twisting the Scripture.
Personally, I would recommend to you reading the Holy Bible. All of it, not just a few nice-sounding verses ripped away from their context.

You horrible atheist! When Jesus speaks to Christians in the quiet of their room, are you suggesting that these recipients of His Voice are deluded, or "just think" it is Jesus? Surely anyone can tell the difference in voices! It's obvious!

But He did not stop Jephthah, did He? Are you saying the Bible is lying when it tells of how Jephthah sacrificed his own daughter? Or perhaps you think Jephthah was batshit crazy?

And god never said, "OK, Jephthah, enough is enough, I believe you were acting according to your promise. Let the girl go"? No, God did not do that. He remained silent. No voice was heard. God must have agreed that sacrifice was OK, mustn't He?

You are an optimist, aren't you? Have you read Romans:9? God makes some people so that He can stoke the fires of Hell with their souls. It is quite possible that this boy-child's soul is doing that now. After all, it is unlikely at age 10, that he was baptized.

The chances are that he would have gone to Hell, had he been allowed to live. Very few make it to Heaven.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
On the edge of puberty, this boy may well have started masturbating (Onanism) or started playing video games and been damned to Hell for eternity. This good mother probably saved him from this fate.

Only if you reside in a country where it would be a lawfully justified excuse:
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
1st Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
1st Peter 2:14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
1st Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
I hope that was helpful.

Well, young lady, first of all, I am not a true elder. See those with a True Christian status. I'm someone learning still as I am not. But those that are elders are always correct in their actions because they obey all of the Bible. I can't be a Pharisee since I am not a Jew, rather a Bible-obeying, God-fearing Christian woman. As for having too much time on my hand, I am keeping a house, teaching young children, preparing myself for my own children, cooking, cleaning, and keeping my husband happy. I don't have much time to spare, and I don't need therapy since my God will and has provided and sustained me.

You don't get that it's Pastor Zeke with a fake account? Like the fat guy at the office that dresses up as Santa for all the kids?

You don't really believe that Didymus creep, do you? He's an atheist, and doesn't know squat. It's in his atheist interest to deny the existence of Jesus. If you think that Jesus sounds like Pastor Ezekiel, maybe it's the other way around - that Pastor Ezekiel sounds like Jesus - because our good Pastor spends a lot of time communing with Jesus Christ, he would have picked up some of His ways of speaking.

You seem confused. We are not Mormons.
And Didymus, we're all getting pretty fed up with you spreading your atheistic lies and discord here. There is no way that those posts by Jesus were written by Pastor Zeke! Not his style at all. I don't know why Pastor Zeke doesn't ban you - or even why Jesus didn't take the opportunity to use His universal powers to ban you while He was here. But maybe He has plans for you which He has communicated to the good pastor?
I will continue to pray for you.

What an inspirational story!
I recently came across a similar story about who a girl was taken away from her parents and put into foster care. The little girl was then beaten to death by her foster parents. Thank God for the Godliest of legal systems in Texas that protects children from demonic pot smoking hippie parents. Sure, she might have been alive today had she still been with her biological parents, but the pot smokers were probably liberal God hating hellbound sinners. Meanwhile, the foster parents must have had a deep amount of love for this little girl:
Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes
Proverbs 29:15
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
Proverbs 23:13
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
She was probably already so corrupted by the pampering, spoiling, God hating, pot smoking parents that a simple loving beating inadvertently caused her death. Though isn't that better than having one more Democrat voter sucking away our tax dollars (you know the parents wouldn't be taking proper care of her anyway).
While I normally favor parental rights over government intervention, this is one of the rare cases where intervention was so urgent that it takes precedence over my normal minimal government ideology.
If only she was taken away from her hippie liberal pot smoking parents sooner she might have been tough enough to survive the beating. It is much better for a child to be beaten to death in a Christian household and go to Heaven than to have their life prolonged by welfare and food stamps only to end up in Hell.
