I read the following the other day in an article on a small snake that had become trapped in amber and it is powerful evidence that Creation is accurate and that it really did take place.
- Snakes: The oldest known snake fossils date from between 140 million and 167 million years ago, and come from the UK - Durlston Bay in Dorset to be exact. Eophis underwoodi was small - possibly a youngster, and lived in a marshy or swampy environment.
- Lizard: A small lizard discovered in rocks from the Italian Alps was confirmed this year as the earliest example of its kind. Megachirella wachtleri lived in the Triassic Period, about 240 million years ago. The find suggested that the group lizards belong to had evolved earlier than previously thought
If we ignore the carbon dating errors that have led so many so-called “scientists” down the Path to Perdition, then we see that there were lizards before there were snakes.
Ge:3:14: And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Obviously, before God said that, lizards were very like snakes but afterwards the distinction became clear. Snakes did not have legs, but lizards did.
Another extract caught my eye:
Quote:
The snake's body can be seen inside the chunk of amber, made up of 97 vertebrae plus attached ribs. Intriguingly, the snake's head is missing.
The creature's bones were analysed inside a synchrotron, an extremely powerful source of X-rays, and compared with those of living snakes.
Anatomical features suggest development of the backbone ofsnakes appears to have changed little in nearly 100 million years.

So where does that leave evolution? 100 million years is quite enough time, allegedly, for a backbone to change, e.g. to grow wings or something, but no…
nothing happened.
But there is more information to be gathered here!
If that snake were found in the UK, and
The Garden of Eden were in Mesopotamia,
And Mesopotamia is 2,300 miles away, from the UK
and if a snake can travel, say, 5 miles a day,
and the snake rests on the Sabbath,
and if the snake were in no hurry, and Godlessly rested 2 days a week,
and the snake, in Europe, hibernates from October to March
then the math is simple:
2,300 / 5 = 460 days + 460/(2/7) days = 591.428 days
Plus 6 months hibernation x 2 = 365 days
=956.428 days.
But the snake is “young”, therefore it is the result of breeding.
And a young snake will do little travelling in the first 6 months, so we add another 182.5 days, and another period of hibernation, 182.5 days = 365 days.
Now the way I see it is that an experienced snake would not climb an amber tree – so I reckon the snake reached the UK and, in its juvenile impatience, climbed a tree to see where it was. And it died.
Giving a total of 1138.928 days from its parent leaving Eden. That’s 3 years, one month and two weeks after Adam, Eve, and the parent snake were all expelled from Eden.
