I need all of your prayers -
06-01-2009, 05:45 AM
Hello, I know you all don't know me, but I was directed to come to you guys in my time of need.
I was recently diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, and have been blessed with the family and friends with all of their help and prayers to make it this far. I ask all of you to take a minute of your time, and tell God that this is not my time, and I still have yet to touch someone where it means most, their heart.
I wish that you pray for me, and that I can be here for another day.
God bless,
Jimmy

Why should we pray for you? Are you even a Christian? What church do you attend? Why do you think Jesus has seen fit to afflict you with a brain tumor?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I don't like how you question me like this. I am here in hope of being helped in my time of need. And yes, I am Christian. I attend a small church, Countryside Baptist. My pastor has helped me in so many ways, that I cannot even explain how great it is to know him.
I'm sorry if I got off on the wrong foot. It's been a long night for me, and I want to have some feeling of caring from other people.
But if you choose not to, I completely understand. I can always turn to Jesus in any time of need.

What's your pastor's name? I want to give him a call just to verify your bonafides.
We have plenty of zit-faced troll scum wandering around in here, so I need to be sure. I'm sure you understand. We don't suffer fools gladly here, as Jesus commands.

I hope this is not true. But recently I had a conversation with my dad, and he told me that God is punishing him through me, because he was a bad father. I do know he has done wrong in the past, but he has been saved now, and I know he is a better person now. So I don't want to think that would be a reason.
Could that be true?

Oh' I definitely see where you are coming from, and it's great how you can keep these people away. The last thing we need is some jerk running his mouth just to make other people mad.
You can call him if you wish. His name is Robert Rush, and his telephone number is 800-555-FALSEPASTOR.

It's quite possible. GOD sometimes punishes person A by torturing person B, even though person B didn't do anything wrong. (Remember when GOD killed all the firstborn sons of the Egyptians because pharaoh was being stubborn?)
It's just like how the entire planet and human race has had to suffer because Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
GOD can be pretty clever, amen?

An interesting question. There are various possibilities as to why God chose to inflict you with a brain tumor.
One is that your father isn't really Saved, that he is lying to you about loving Jesus. If your father is still mocking Jesus, your tumor could be God reminding your father that He is always watching as and sees everything.
Another is that what your dad did in the past was so wicked that even though he is Saved now, the Lord is making an example of him so that others will not think they can do as he did in the past and get away with it.
And there is always the chance that God and Satan are having another one of their contests to see who is more powerful. You know the story of Job I assume? It could be a situation like Job's family, where you were just "in the wrong place at the wrong time." Celestial collateral damage if you will.

And if this is true, (which I most certainly wish not to believe) why does the pain and suffering come to me? I've done wrong in my past, but does this mean I have to suffer from his wrong doing?

This is his personal line. Not everybody has a toll-free line. We are a very small congregation, which is usually met at his ranch. (Yes, we call it Cowboy Church.) There is no real chapel, it's more of an outdoors kind of thing with about 30 people. This is what I use to call him an any time I need to talk to him. He's always willing to talk, and help with anything. Do you need me to have him contact you, or another moderator/pastor on this forum?

Quite simply, yes. You do have to suffer for his wrong doing. You claim to be Christian, yet you show a shocking lack of understanding of the Bible.
Let me ask you a question. Are familiar with the story of Sodom? I'll assume you need a refresher. The people of Sodom were wicked and had moved away from God. The wallowed in depravity and sin. They fornicated randomly, drank to excess, ignored the Sabbath, etc.
God ignored it for a while. Then, when he was fed up, he rained fire and brimstone from the Heavens, wiping Sodom and it's wicked citizens off the map.
Now, have you ever really stopped to think about the reality of this story? Do you not suppose that all those wicked people in Sodom had a few children? Of course they did! And God sent them to Hell along with their wicked parents. The children of Sodom, some of them babies, paid the price for their parents wickedness. Just as you are paying the price for your father's wickedness now.

No real, proper Church? Sinned in the past, a father who sins? Sounds to me like you are a false Christian, a 'plant' of the devil. Indubitably the tumor is your false prophets way of eating all your testosterone and making you into the Homer you have always been. You excuses are just that, excuses. Prove you really love the true God by selling all your worldly possessions and placing the finds into the Landover tithe plate. Only then can your true motives be seen by God, only then will he listen to your prayers.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Okay, I made a mistake sending you this message over the forum. I just didn't know how or if I can send a PM. But some little punks are making prank phone calls, and I don't think God likes having him being mocked this way.
So any mods, just remove the number, keep the post, just censor that.
Thank you,
Jimmy
