I was wondering if anyone else has done this.

I have a brother who has a toxic personality. He gave up on Jesus decades ago and uses my faith as a weapon to abuse me. Besides that, he thinks he's smarter than I am and when ever I mention something he tells me that I'm wrong and I'm stupid. He drinks all day long and I'm sure the drugs are affecting his responses, too.

On Christmas 2002 I finally decided to cut it off with him. We used to make an effort to meet up once in a while, but that's done, now. The final straw was when I arrived at his house with a nice gift for him and some fresh eggs for his wife to cook. I gave him his gift (it was an inspirational Landover calendar), and he took it and threw it out the window without even opening it. He said that he's not doing Christmas anymore and didn't get me a gift and wants me to stop giving him Christmas gifts or offer to take his kids on an Easter egg hunt or anything else that has to do with being a Baptist.

I finally decided that I just couldn't take it anymore and I haven't seen or talked to him once since then. Once in a while I see his wife Loretta and her twin girls at the store and I say something nice but I don't get into their business because I'm just done with them. The sad part is that the two girls didn't do anything wrong, but their father has turned me into a pariah to them. They don't even want to say hi, and I'm sure their dad has poisoned my reputation for them.

I have no idea why he's so angry at Jesus and why that makes him so angry with me. I guess I'll never know.

I have 4 older brothers and there's only one of them I'll have anything to do with.Had to cut 3 of them out of my life for my own sanity.Just got tired of all the family drama out of the 3 of them.I love the 3 I have cut of my life just don't need the stress of dealing with them.

Oh how sad for you Nobar King.

I was an only child as were both my parents so I have no siblings or extended family. I used to fantasise about what it would be like to have a big brother to take care of me and introduce me to his single male friends. I always assumed that if I had a sibling he would be a True Christian ™. It must be really hard for you Nobar King watching your brother shun God and destine himself, his wife and the twins to Hell.

It sounds like you have done all you can tho to try and save him from damnation.

None of my siblings believe in God. Until they do, I'll have nothing to do with any of them. No way would I ever associate with anyone who is not a True Christian™. What would Jesus think?

I do send them Chick Tracs regularly though, I have not given up out-reaching.

The first Mrs Bathfire was a complete harlot. Obsessed with sex, she would take every opportunity to pester me to “go in unto” her. Often more than once a month!!! I tried to dissuade her by saying such things as,

“I have a headache.”
“I’m tired.”
“Perhaps tomorrow.”
“I’m working in the morning.”
“You should have thought of that earlier.”
“Do you think of nothing else?”
“Of course, you can go to sleep without it.”
“I’ve just washed my hair.”
“Just hold me.”

But she was insatiable. She had to go. I have had nothing more to do with her and am grateful for the present Mrs Bathfire who (and I believe this is unusually rare and holy in women) never instigates anything at all in that department.

I feel sorry for you guy's losses.

I ran away from both of my parents after many years of punishment with beer bottles, newspapers and dogbites.

I now live at my grandparents and them and I have no contact with my parents anymore.

I don't speak with my Mormon sister, in fact I don't understand her or her cult. She phoned me up out of the blue last month and asked if I had gone down to see the new temple in Langley. Now why would I do that? Do I phone her up and ask if she's bothered to check out the new Baptist churches? I know she's just waiting for me to die so that she can baptize me into her cult. I've tried to put myself on the "do not baptize" list, but I doubt they really pay any attention to that.

My brothers I speak to here and there, we're not close. As for my father, well it seems the older he gets, the closer he is getting to God. He used to go to a fuzzy bunny Baptist church, but now because of mobility issues he has a woman from the church come in and read the Bible to him. I pray for him daily.
