Keep the Government Out of the Oil Patch. -
03-10-2015, 02:36 PM
I'm proud of my friend, Republican Governor Jack Dalrymple, up in North Dakota. He refuses to put any regulations on the oil fracking industry there.
Just yesterday, a big truck filling with fracking brine tipped over and ran into a creek. It will drain away or evaporate eventually, what harm is done? But, put government regulations in place and they harm us forever.
Fracking brine has spilled all over the ND oil patch, pipes break, trucks sneak into areas where no one sees them and dump. But, people are getting rich there so let's let sleeping dogs lie. Regulations just raise the cost of driving my car.

I am entirely in agreement with you mayor. There is a point in human affair when the interests of the majority outweigh any minor gripe.
If we listened to every minor objection, nothing would ever get done. If, on the other hand, we do what we should do and we wait for God to intervene, then we will know the right decision has been made.
So far, God has made no move on fracking. It must therefore be a good thing.

Psalms 24:1-2 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
God does not like when you destroy His earth....

So what's the problem with God letting anyone else know of His (supposed) displeasure with fracking? Why does He only tell you these things? As for the rest of us:

That's from someone who knows the Bible a lot better than you do.

Fracking has not covered the earth with dead bodies the way Hilter and Stalin did. If you want to see harm to the earth, look at what those atheists did. Atheists, not fracking, is what God disllikes.

Nothing makes a good ham like a little brine!
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." (Matthew 5:32)

Fracking is good for the earth. It gets rid of that awful oil in the ground. Chemicals are blasted at high pressure into rocks deep down there. Oil is around and behind the rocks. God does not want the oil there. The oil is pumped to the surface where it fuels our SUV's.

Some oil is cheap to extract, other oil quite expensive. Fracking belongs in the latter category. Can you extract oil for less than $50 a barrel by fracking? Crude is $47,75/barrel as I type this. See below why the oil industry (and especially fracking) in the US has a bad time at the moment:
Another factor is low consumer spending, requiring less transport, causing the oil reserves to grow so much that capacity problems occur. The oil storages fill up to maximum capacity and demand (and price) drop even further. A sign perhaps?
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.

Exactly! And that is why you should´t waste it by throwing it in a river!
